About this property
The Bryson City Farmhouse - Railroad History in Downtown!
Our doors opened in June 2018 after 457 days of restoration! Featured in Our State's Around Town series and American Farmhouse, Sixty-One Park is a historic farmhouse located in the heart of downtown Bryson City. Bryson City has been called “The Tiny Town in the Middle of Everything” and Sixty-One Park is right downtown, just a short walk to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, breweries, local parks and all the cutest shops and restaurants. Perfect set up for a family vacation or a trip with friends!
The Sixty-One Park Farmhouse has been fully brought up to date with all modern comforts while keeping all the farmhouse character. The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. The downstairs has an open floor plan with the kitchen, living room, dining room and game room. The farmhouse has multiple living areas for reading, resting and personal space. A large screen TV is located in the living room. We’ve stocked the farmhouse with books and board games as well. We’ve tried to think of every detail that will make your stay perfection. In the warmer months our succulent wall and National Park-inspired charcoal grill make for great entertaining. In November and December the house is fully decked out for Christmas and the Polar Express.
From Sixty-One Park you can walk to the nearby seasonal Friday farmers’ market for fresh produce from our local farmers, honey from our local beekeepers and crafts from local artisans. Walk along the river and put your feet in the cool water at nearby Island Park. Hop in the car and drive just 2.5 miles to the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Three waterfalls are within a short hiking distance and in the spring/summer you can bring your inner tube to float down the gentle rapids of Deep Creek. Nearby favorite day trips include Cherokee, Gatlinburg, and Asheville.
There is an external security camera actively recording the driveway outside of the house.

This was the perfect place to stay for a polar express weekend! Walkable to everything…we didn’t have to drive anywhere. Super clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, accommodating to 2 families. Communication with owner was great, cannot say enough good things about this place! Highly recommend!
We visited for the Polar Express ride. The home was beautiful, clean, beds comfortable, spacious. Everything about the property was perfect! I love the historical aspect of the home. The town was easy walking distance.

So much room. Love that all of us had our own bedroom and plenty of bathrooms. Love the views and love the outside. It was walking distance to every thing. Excellent stay. Will definitely stay again.
The Farmhouse is perfection; every detail is artistically aligned to make this place not only visually stunning, but also perfectly comfy and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Farmhouse to anyone looking for a getaway in the NC mountains.

I live in the Great Smoky Mountains in the adorable small town of Bryson City. I am a full-time artist and have a small gallery/art studio at 120 Main Street. My husband is co-owner of Bryson City Outdoors/Taproom and the BCO Market/Bryson Bakery. We are partners with the Perkins Builder Brothers and have saved many old houses in the area. We love our cute little town and the beautiful mountains that surround it.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is located right downtown with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Depot. The central location is only a few miles away from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and also a great location for day trips to Ashevlle, Gatlinburg, Cashiers, Franklin and Fontana. Also being right downtown in the winter is a plus because the roads are quickly cleared.
