About this property

Seasonal Fully Furnished Mobile home

Welcome fishermen, hunters, and kayakers! Fully furnished Mobile home located directly across the street from Grindstone Harbor boat launch on Lake Huron.
This rental is a work in progress. Many updates inside and out including central air . We do have 4 unadvertised RV sites on the same property, 2 are full time seasonal sites.
We have a quarry that we have been working on to clean up and deepen, so there might also be an excavator on site and I never know when he'll be there, he's a super nice guy but his equipment is loud, he is not there all the time. There's a nice patio with chairs overlooking the quarry to enjoy and relax.
Please please please keep an eye on your kids! Lots of water around you here..
There's 1 large community fire pit or a small more portable one if you'd rather be more by yourself.
Just bring your personal items and you'll be ready to start your vacation. Includes cable/Xfinity streaming box, (please bring your own passwords for the different streaming sites), and internet. Sheets and towels. Sleeps 4 comfortably, (but does include a full size pull out sofa and a regular couch), 1 queen, and 1 full sized bed.
Kitchen is fully stocked with full sized fridge, range, microwave. Pots n pans, dinnerware, towels, storage bowls etc. (Minus a vegetable peeler, I'm told lol.) You may have to bring your own plastic wrap and bags, foil or whatever favorite items you may need to make your stay more comfortable. We have a couple charcoal grills on the property for your use.
Pet friendly, (with restrictions). Please clean up after your pet and leashes are a must.
We do have city water delivered in a large tank, not many wells in our area.

Driving directions: m25 north to Pearson Rd. Follow the concrete around. Will turn into Pointe Aux Barques Rd at the lake. Drive straight ahead. Grindstone Harbor public Access will be on the right, my place on the left. Grey garage and white and grey mobile home with blue shutters. 3376 Pointe Aux Barques Rd, Port Austin 48467. Incredibly peaceful place to stay. Beautiful scenes looking over the water in every direction at the park across the street. Super friendly people who have been vacationing in the area for years offer great conversation. Refreshingly scenic 5 minute ride to Port Austin. I look forward to finding this place available for upcoming trips.

It was off season so many of the area activities were closed. However, the State Parks have very nice hiking trails, so we spent hours walking the trails. The mobile home was clean and well equipped.

The cutest place. Very clean and everything we needed. Jeanne, the owner and her husband were in the area and checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything. The seasonal campers across the drive were so kind. We had the best time. So much to do in the area but my favorite is the beach. Thank you so much for the great hospitality. We will be back.

This was a really nice little property! It was perfect for our little family of 4 and our kids immediately felt comfortable. It was very clean and had all of the basic amenities you would need! The location was also great for fishing, going to the beach and lots of fun restaurants... I didn't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons... First is that it can be a bit noisy at night from the surrounding neighbors in the nearby campers, having bonfires. The second reason is that we had an issue with the door in the bathroom that leads to the outside. I won't get into the details because I brought it to the owners attention and assured us that it would be taken care of. That being said, we would stay here again, given the door issue is taken care of beforehand. The pros definitely outweigh the cons and overall, we had a great stay!

I loved this place, it was clean and tidy inside and out. I had morning coffee on the covered porch and took the easy walk to the lake for swims. The owners were kind and welcoming.

Loved the area

We had an absolutely wonderful time. This is a pet friendly property. Everyone loved Norman our dachshund. The friendliest people ever. Will definitely stay here again next year.

Peaceful and beautiful

The property was exactly what we needed for our small group. It is very, very clean and very well maintained. Many updates have been made and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Coffee on the deck and the short walk to lKe were so peaceful.

Relaxing get away!!!

The property was as advertised. Very clean and well decorated. The location was perfect, nice quiet area close to the lake, several stores, and not far from downtown Port Austin. The check in and check out process was super simple. The property owner/manager was friendly and helpful as well. We would book and stay here again!

2 day getaway

Pictures and words dont do it justice. Very nice place to stay reminds me of a cozy cottage walk right across the road to Lake Huron two yummy places to eat a short walk even away
