About this property
2 Bedroom Seasonal Lakefront Cottage
2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom lakefront cottage on Swan Pond, a 130 acre lake in southern Maine. Just 17 miles to Kennebunkport and 30 miles to downtown Portland, you can spend your days relaxing at the lake and your nights enjoying the best Maine has to offer. Our lakefront cottage provides the perfect getaway - a cozy cottage with great lake views, private & relaxed setting, private beach/swim area, swim raft, waterfront deck with propane grill, firepit, numerous floats & lounge chairs, canoes, and of course the calls of the loons!
A couple unique things to know about our little slice of heaven! First, we are a growing family, so the second bedroom only includes beds for children up to 7 years old. There is enough room in bedroom#2 to set-up a full/queen size air mattress if you'd like. Also - the cottage water system is fed by the lake - so you will need to bring your own drinking water (toilet, shower, sinks all fed with lake water after going through a filtration system). We rent the property weekly, from Saturday to Saturday, from mid-May through October of each year. We do make exceptions to weekly rentals from time to time, please feel free to inquire about rental periods shorter than one full week stay.

My wife and I, along with our 4 and 6 year sons', stayed at the property. Steve was fantastic about communicating with us prior to our arrival, proactively spent time with us to discuss our questions about the property, and coordinated everything that needed to be done while we were staying there. He was always available. It was an amazing vacation that we hope to repeat again next year.
The setting was wonderful. We were serenaded every morning and evening by the resident pair of loons
It is a quaint cozy cottage with wonderful sunrises and lake views.

Relaxing
Had a good relaxing time. Had some issues but the property owner tried his best to rectify the situation. He was also generous to refund us a few days because of the issues.
We really enjoyed our stay. The pond is wonderful and Steve was very responsive and helpful. A couple of things to know before you go. 1) you can’t drink the water from the tap so you need to bring your own. The tap water comes straight from the pond so it’s fine for most things but not to drink. 2) there’s no dining table. We had four of us eating dinner on 1 small table and chairs from the deck and two on the couch eating off of end tables. It worked okay but was a bit odd.
We had an amazing week staying here! It was so relaxing and peaceful I would stay here again in a heart beat! The property was clean as well as the water. The canoe was a definite bonus. The house itself serves its purpose to be a sleeping and cooking area but most of your time will be spent outside which was exactly what we were looking for, the awning on the deck was absolutely perfect to provide some shade during the day as well. We can’t wait to rent this property in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at Swan Pond. The grandchildren had fun in the water and we enjoyed the canoe. Its always a plus , when the day starts with coffee on the deck watching the fog burn off to a beautiful day.
This camp was one of the cleaness, most homey place we have been in since renting every summer..Steve was great to communicate with and made sure we were happy. Relaxing,,quite and great for family time..The loons were awesome and watching bald eagle hunt was a plus,,LOved it..
Our stay in Lyman was very relaxing. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The pond is serene, with plenty of room to explore paddling and comfortable clear water to float in. The awning on the deck made it easy to relax in the mid-day sun. A very enjoyable getaway with responsive hosts that were very hospitable.
The cabin is the perfect size, 2 good sized bedrooms and a full bath. Fully equipped kitchen and good sized living room-not that you will spend much time inside. The lake is beautiful and clean with a walk on dock from the yard and a floating dock to lay down on and jump off. The location is clean and quiet. We had an excellent time there swimming, grilling, and fishing. You will not be disappointed with this rental. The owner was very friendly and made sure we got all the information we needed and was available for questions if needed. We had a truly wonderful stay.
This place is truly a little piece of paradise. The location is perfect for a secluded trip to relax and unwind. The owner is amazing to deal with and was available anytime I had questions about the property or area in general. This place is quiet and private. There is plenty for kids to do on the property also. The private beach area is shallow enough for younger kids to be able to swim while the floating dock gives plenty of fun for older kids.
The cabin is clean and cozy and much bigger than we were expecting. The owners do a great job maintaining the property! And the view is stunning! We definitely plan to book here again in the future!!!
Really liked the limited tv/cable, it allowed us to disconnect the kids from some of the electronics. Steve was great and followed up even after check out. Highly recommended!!!!
