Great stay. The breakfast was wonderful. Location and view are great.. Although the view from the rooms was spectacular, downside was to have no shades/curtains, especially for young children.

We ordered the shades prior to your stay. And finally, it arrived and installed. :-)
The place was so new and clean. Central Air and of course amazing view from any room. We traveled into Catskill and Hudson to eat. All was very close. Can't wait to book again next year. Kathleen was an amazing host.
Beautiful home. Wonderful communication and Hospitality.
Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home with gorgeous views of the Hudson River. Kathleen is a true gem- wonderful communication helping make our stay exploring the Hudson area even better with her tips and recommendations. 2 bedrooms are lovely and very generously sized. We will be back!
We loved our stay at Casa Bartolo! Kathleen was extremely kind and helpful, going out of her way to ensure our stay was perfect. She picked us up from the train station, provided a list of things to do in the town as well as the surrounding area (updated very recently for a new restaurant too). Then as we left she provided us with fresh eggs!

Thank you so much, Aaron!
Hope you visit Hudson again soon!
This property was great! I hadn't realized that we would be staying in an upstairs private entrance/apartment and not be staying with the deck etc. However, the place was very clean and cozy. Kathleen met us upon arrival and even greeted us with homemade cupcakes! The location is great and the view is gorgeous. Would be back!
My husband and I spent 3 nights at this beautiful property conveniently located very close to the city of Hudson and surrounding communities. The weather was fantastic and the view of the Hudson River from our bedroom windows was hard to stop looking at. Kathleen is a wonderful host and we enjoyed meeting her and her husband Victor. It was such a nice touch to have the mini fridge stocked with cold seltzers, bottled water and sodas, along with coffee creamers. She gave us fresh eggs and a satchel of lavender from her garden when we left. Highly recommend this property!!

Great view with a friendly owner
Two freshly painted rooms, wonderfully updated bathroom and kitchenette were the perfect “home base” for our group of 4 who came to hike and take in the fall colors. The view from the deck downstairs was splendid (even with the clouds). The owners were there part of the time and were very helpful and responsive to questions and requests, as well as graciously inviting us to join them for Happy Hour one evening. Not a very sound proof house though. We hope we didn’t keep anyone awake as we played a rousing game of cards well into the night.
The pictures don't do this property justice. The view is just gorgeous, the décor is warm and welcoming, and it was a huge plus that both bedrooms are identical in size and each have their own sitting area overlooking the river. Kathleen is the nicest, most accommodating host ever. Although we didn't have time to cook up the fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard, it was still a nice touch having them there waiting for us!
If you read no more of this review, understand that Kathleen’s home, Casa Bartolo, was the perfect winter getaway.
From the start, Kathleen communicated in a timely, friendly fashion with detailed and helpful information about our stay. I was staying with my partner and my parents. I explained their general interests, and Kathleen responded the next day with a categorized list of places to hike, eat, and drink.
The house itself was clean and full of modern charm. The Hudson River view is unique to other rentals around there. It felt like we were on a quiet hillside lake. When a crazy snow squall crept over the Catskills and into the valley, we were able to watch nature’s fury safely inside.
The house is conveniently located, check in and check out were easy, and if all of that weren’t enough, the chickens on property gave us some delicious eggs to take home (delivered by Kathleen herself).
I highly recommend Casa Bartolo and can’t wait to stay again.
My wife and I had a great time celebrating our Anniversary here! The space was clean, spacious, and had a great view of the river. We were a short drive from downtown but far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the spot. I highly recommend!
The property was a great choice for my wife and I with our 5 month old daughter. It is well decorated and has two spacious rooms and everything you need with a small kitchenette stocked with a Nesspresso and other beverages. The location is nicely located with a beautiful view of the river to wake up to and is only a few quick minutes to the restaurants and shops of downtown Hudson and Warren Street. Though our intersections with Kathleen the host were pretty limited, she was very responsive, provided great recommendations via text and even gave us some fresh eggs (chicken coop on property) to take home with us! Highly recommend.
So lovely! Beautiful large spaces with incredible views of the river. It was relaxing and located very close to the shopping and restaurant area in Hudson. Kathleen was very accommodating and kind.
Great location, 5 minute drive to downtown Hudson. Great view of the river. Katherine was great about suggesting restaurants and hikes. Great spot to explore the Hudson Valley.
We spent wonderful weekend here (me, my wife, 2 kids). The suite is spacious and well outfitted - it worked very well for the 4 of us, with nice sitting areas in each room and a practical kitchenette. Kathleen and Victor were excellent hosts, providing great local recommendations, a wonderful breakfast on the porch Sunday morning, and even a chance for my daughter to pick eggs from the chicken coop. The house is very conveniently located to downtown Hudson (5 mins drive), while being in a pindrop quiet location with absolutely gorgeous river views. Highly recommend!
The stay was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. It was 2 adults with a 3 yr old and a crawling baby. The apartment is up a flight of stairs, and our baby kept crawling nearby and we couldn’t easily keep him away. Luckily he never tumbled down the stairs, but the possibility definitely kept us on our toes.
The house was beautiful! Amazing views of the water and mountains. Kathleen was great! She gave us great recommendations for food and activities. We had a wonderful stay. Would definitely book with her again !
We had a great stay at Kathleen and Victor’s home. The home is very clean and tastefully decorated. You can’t beat the views of the Hudson! Great for a weekend getaway.
A wonderful overall experience! Kathleen warmly greeted us at arrival with cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries and sent us off with fresh eggs from the chicken coop! Very clean and comfortable accommodations. A nice and unexpected lodging choice if skiing at Catamount. Less than 30 mins away and a great stay in charming Hudson. Definitely recommend! A+
Our little family (husband and daughter) stayed at this property for three nights in November. We had a relaxing and fun getaway. Kathleen was so kind and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the spacious grounds and the hens. Kathleen even sent us home with some fresh eggs! The views of the Hudson were stunning. Kathleen also had some spot on recs for activities and restaurants. We felt so comfortable in the property, everything we needed was provided. We will return as soon as we have another opportunity.
Beautiful stay, so clean and stunning views!! Will definitely be returning! Thank you Kathleen!

About the host

My husband and I have stressful jobs and we come to Hudson to explore and get closer to nature. We love exploring neighboring towns and meeting people. Our neighbors are all very warm, generous and caring.
Why they chose this property
We love sunsets and the water! There is a different energy being around water and nature. Very recharging and uplifting. The stress of everyday work really goes away when we come to Hudson.
What makes this property unique
We are in the process of creating our own Zen garden on where we think has the best view on the property. We are adding and planting a few things, one day at a time. When we find something -- a stone, a wooden bridge, a driftwood bench, we add it to our Zen garden. It's very fulfilling and relaxing to sit on the stone and be in the moment.
We also recently built and chicken coop with 11 chickens! We will soon have our own fresh, organic, free-range eggs which will be served for weekend breakfasts!
