Georgia Beach Rentals is proud to announce our newest property. The Tides Inn Cottage is located in one of Saint Simons Island most desired neighborhoods. This home is just 80 steps from one of the islands favorite beaches. Ocean Views from the 2nd floor porch, the 3rd floor porch and the roof-top deck make this a perfect beach house. A private, gated, South-facing, pool courtyard welcomes you into this 3 level living experience. Each floor (minus the roof top deck) is accessed by BOTH elevator/stairwell and affords large spaces for entertainment or multiple families staying together. Gathering areas on each floor flow out to wonderful ocean view screened porches. The kitchen with stainless appliances has a great "open" feel. Large bedrooms each have their own baths. Game room off the two car garage houses a pool table. This house is sure to be a family favorite for years to come.

Georgia Beach Rentals would like to make your vacation as stress free as possible. This place is a must stay! The communication from the host was excellent! The home is very well appointed and welcoming. We were on a couples trip (10 total adults)and everyone couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations and amenities this property has to offer! Perfect place for our group! We'll be back!

Our family had a wonderful stay!The house has so many rooms and bathrooms!! It was easy for us to spread out & yet we had places to all gather together too. All the bedrooms are a good size. On the 2nd and 3rd floor there is nice gathering area. On the 3rd floor is the main kitchen. The 1st and 2nd floor has a mini fridge. We loved the large dining table on the 3rd floor. We gathered together at night and played cards. In the garage, there is a bonus room with pool table, large tv, fridge, sofa and a full bathroom. This was a nice surprise. The elevator was wonderful! My 86 year old mom could easily access each floor. We also used the elevator for some of our luggage. The house is in a great location. We walked to the beach several times. Many restaurants and area shops are a short drive. Our family has already said that when we go back to St Simon, we would love to stay here again.

Very disappointing.

This house is falling apart. The house wasn’t clean. The basement was infested with insects. The balcony rails weren’t secure. The carpet was stained. The bed sizes were incorrect. 2 kings 1 Queen and 2 full. Handles were falling off of the patio doors. Doors were horrible and needed to be painted. Very disappointing stay.

This house, with its multi floor set up, was perfect for our family!The ground floor master en-suite with its small kitchenette was perfect for those seeking privacy, while the second level bed/bath combos, living area, and small refrigerator/sink was perfect for the couples with small children. The third level master ensuite, large dining table, spacious kitchen, and living area was the perfect place for the couple wanting a little more bed time quiet while still having a common meeting place for the entire family. The roof top deck and porches were also enjoyed by all. The game room and nice pool area were also a hit. It was a quick and easy walk to the beach and the area sidewalks provided a scenic walk around a lovely quiet neighborhood. It is important to note that the walk to beach front access is not a straight shot though it is very close. Additionally, it leads out to a significant drop off into the water. You have to walk down the beach approximately 50 yards to reach a spot where children can play in the surf. The current is strong in this area.The pool could have been cleaner upon arrival and the pool guy showed up, without notice, on our last full day to clean and shock the pool which we were enjoying at the time. We were unable to enjoy the pool the remainder of the day, as it remained cloudy. We did not find property management to be easily accessible even though we phoned on two different occasions during business hours. I definitely recommend this house.

This is our second stay here, but this time we noticed the home is really showing wear and needs substantial maintenance. AC ineffective on 3rd floor even at night can’t get below 76 degrees no matter how much we turned it down.House is very humid all the time. Possibly due to ineffective AC. Condensation builds up on everything in the refrigerator, which also doesn’t get very cold.Several lamps don’t work. 3rd floor patio fan broken. Lots of black mold throughout including on AC vents and spots around lights in kitchen.Roof is leaking. Left pool of water in 3rd floor living room. Paint is peeling from ceiling in kitchen from the leaks. 3rd floor bath toilet paper holder broken. Kitchen Pans are old and dirty. Wifi doesn’t work in many parts of the house. Many shower heads are broken or clogged. We had a hard time getting any water pressure out of them. Auto pool cleaner doesn’t really work, pool is full of leaves and debris. 3rd floor patio doors from living room stick and are very difficult to open and close. 3rd floor TV is old and difficult to operate. In an era where flat screen TVs are super cheap it would make sense to update this one.Mattresses are way too soft. Need replaced. This place has a phenomenal location and a lot of potential, but it needs to come off the market for a few months and have a lot of little repairs and maintenance done.

Lack of Communication & Professionalism

If it were possible to give zero stars here, I would. The house we stayed in was fine (if you don't count a few dead bugs, a broken toilet paper holder, the main bedroom shower that wouldn't drain, and water and ice filters in need of replacing). However, this company's response time is beyond ridiculous, as was the way the owner spoke to me (gaslighting me, blaming me through his tone and questions for the problem itself) after an issue with smoke detectors in the home. They are rude, unprofessional, and clearly don't communicate to their clients or each other about issues happening with their properties. I had to call/email four times during normal business hours to talk about the rate difference in the house we originally booked and the house we were moved to because of damaged decks. The decks are no one's fault, and I was happy to move houses, but the lack of communication after I simply wanted to chat about the rate was ridiculous, as was the way certain issues with the house were handled--smoke detectors kept going off, staff either did not communicate to the owner to the owner of the company that they were going off or lied about it, as he thought the issue was a simple battery replacement. Highly recommend going with another rental company for your SSI vacation.

Fun family vacation.

House was spacious and well furnished! Plenty of dishes etc. in kitchen. Beach towels were plentiful. My family spent a lot of time in the pool. We were all fascinated by the extreme change in the beach between high and low tide! Really enjoyed our stay!

A GREAT Choice for our family, ages 8 to 94!

Our family agreed it was time for everyone to get together to celebrate a 60th birthday and our 94 year old mother's Mother's Day. We live in several states throughout the southeast and found that St Simon's Island was a reasonable destination for us all. 7 of us were staying in the house full time and had other family rotate through on day trips. We all needed our own space and the bedroom layout in this house worked well. Mom is not able to handle many steps so the elevator was a definite factor in our decision. Mom did wind up in the 3rd floor bedroom and we appreciated the bathroom options with easy shower access. One thing that none of us caught in the listing, is that the KITCHEN is on the 3rd Floor! A bit odd and unexpected, but it worked out very nicely with the screened porch in close proximity as well as the spiral staircase up to the way cool roof deck. (Mom even snuck up the spiral staircase to enjoy the view too! She was not going to miss a thing!!) When we had her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren come for a surprise visit one afternoon, the pool was a BIG HIT! We all enjoyed time out by the pool and watched some brave the brisk water. The walled pool enclosure/entrance to the home made it a very enjoyable private visit. Many of us also enjoyed the brief walk and gentle entrance onto the beach at the 15th St Public Access/Gould's Inlet. A couple of brave souls tried the more immediate access at the end of 13th. They definitely preferred the short walk to 15th instead. We ALL enjoyed our stay in this VRBO. We are now talking about making this an annual meeting place and would gladly choose this location again. We didn't have time to give the Billiard Room a try! There is a tremendous amount of room to spread out in this house and imagine many larger families could really utilize the many hangouts available. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. There is adequate parking for as many as 5 cars if needed. This was a great selling point for us as well as we had family come and go throughout our stay. A Great Choice Indeed.

No ocean view

Advertised as ocean view from all 3 porches; however, only top roof deck has a view and is accessed by narrow exterior metal winding staircase. Walking from house to ocean is much farther than advertised and very difficult because of tide pools and dunes.

Awesome property

We didn't actually stay at this property because there were repairs being made. We were moved to 506 Timmons which was perfect for our group. The house is beautiful and in an excellent location - walking distance to the village. I will definitely try to book this house again.

Beautiful home on a wonderful island!

Beautiful home! It was perfect for 5 adult couples with the many bedrooms and bathrooms, living areas on each floor, and large kitchen and dining room. The rooftop deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Great beach, but wish it was a little bit closer. Perfect spot for a great family vacation!

Ideal, relaxing family vacation home

This home was truly perfect for our family trip to celebrate our mother's 60th Birthday. We each had our own rooms and bathrooms, and plenty of outdoor spaces so we could all spread out. The house was very clean and the pictures accurately described the house. We really enjoyed our time here. A few things to note: - there is only a kuerig so bring your kcups! We were told it had both drip coffee and a kuerig so we brought ground coffee. Not a big deal, just an extra trip to the grocery store. - we were told check out was at 10am when the listing said 11am. -there are no tvs in the bedrooms - your contacts are from a management company and they were generally slow to reply. It wasn't a big deal, but with a $400 fee for 24/7 customer service, we were expecting more punctual responses. - there are no instructions for the elevator (which was super convenient!) So make sure you close both doors to get it to work. -If you're looking to rent tents for the beach, I recommend calling for a reservation before your trip. -bring your own beach chairs (or rent them. They were under $10 for the day and were dropped off and picked up at the house) The location was great! It was a quiet neighborhood. We rented bikes and rode them to the 1st Street beach and did some riding around the island. Overall, our trip was exactly what we were hoping for: relaxing, beach time and good laughs with our family. We'll be back!

We would stay here again! This property accommodated 3 couples nicely who also had 2 teenagers that had their own rooms and bathrooms! Everywhere you turn there is a bathroom. There are 7 total. There’s also a fridge around every corner. The elevator was very helpful when loading and unloading luggage. The pool was very nice. The walk to the beach is a little further than anticipated due to an area that retains water in the dune. If you bring a cart just drive to end of Bruce St. It’s not far at all and you’re right on the beach. It may even be a shorter walk. Regardless, it wasn’t an issue and we had a great time. Watch you head when walking out onto the roof lookout. Very nice views though!!!!

This house was perfect for my family. Located on the best beach in Saint Simons . A short walk to beach was easy too. Loved the dunes and beaches. The privacy at the house was perfect. That pool was an added bonus. Great stay!! The manager was very accommodating.

Really great house

There are many great things to say about this house. Many features which weren't even listed. There are 2 full size refrigerator + a small built in 1 in ground floor BR and 1 small built in 2nd floor living room. LOTS of space. 2 LRs on 2nd and 1 LR top floor. walk in closets in 4 bedrooms. Beds very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Except no crock pot. Loved the covered porches and top deck with some ocean views was awesome! A hot tub up there would be amazing! Cool spiral staircase leads up to that. Only negatives are NO tvs in any bedrooms. 3 total in house. The pool was smaller than appears in pic but it was adequate. A hit tub on any deck would be great. Beach access on 13th St indeed 80 steps/1 min walk, but leads out to marsh. Beach area to the left and better accessed by walking around and over to Goulds inlet Beach access. Still only about 2 min. The rental company was very accommodating. No complaints. Elevator was slow but very handy for bringing in luggage and groceries. 2 cars can park in front of house. 2 in garage and could fit 1 or 2 in front of garage. Nice neighborhood. We had dinner Mullet Bay very good. Barrier Island Brewery also very good. Zoom bike rental best prices and Jessica very nice. I highly recommend this house and would def stay again. Only real negative was way too much rain and not enough sun! Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely house!

This is a great house to get people together.

The house is very comfortable with several gathering spaces with TV's for different age relaxing. The Rooftop sitting area is nice to see the beach and watch the beauty of nature. One of the best places we have stayed at over the past 15 years.

Plenty of room

This house is well spaced out to give everyone plenty of room. But also has big enough spaces that your whole group can be together. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch to be able to sit outside at night without the bugs.
