Ski right out onto Assay Hill from this 5th floor residence with a bright and sunny balcony to watch all the slope action! The complex offers over-the-top customers service! Everyone is very accommodating. onsite ski rental/storage - they will even take off your boots for you and put your skis on the slope! Condo has a fabulous 5th floor location provides expansive views of Assay Hill Turn-key condo includes everything you need! Fully stocked with kitchen items, washer & dryer, fireplace and more. The hotel went through a complete refurbishment in summer 2019 and the lobby/restaurant/bar has been replaced in November 2024. Layout is ideal with master bedroom separated from living room (includes sleeper sofa) providing privacy for multiple guests. Large master closet with storage and safe is convenient. Spacious master bathroom features his/hers sinks, large tub, and separate, glasses water closet and shower. This property is part of a large hotel complex with many amenities including onsite gym, amazing spa, 2 high-end restaurants, pool with three hot tubs and ski storage! The complex also offers events such as champagne pool parties, breakfast with Santa, wine tastings and more. Nearby in the Base Village you will find - Ice skating rink, rock climbing wall, kids game complex (the Collective) restaurants, shops and more. There's no need to go to Aspen! This condo is managed by the owners/management company. You will be provided with plenty of supplies but if you need more, please contact the owner. (Owners live part-time in another condo in the complex.) Newer full-sized washer & dryer conveniently in the unit. You will be provided with plenty of laundry supplies. Cleaning is not provided from the hotel, bathrobes are not included for sanitary purposes. Airport transportation is not included or available through the hotel. if you are not bringing a car, we can make transportation suggestions.

Valet parking fee & nightly resort fee is additional, paid directly to the hotel. NOTE - resort fee is $60/night

Consistently great place to stay

Viceroy is a lively place that is steps away from the mountain, short walk (or shuttle provided ride) to the village. The workout facilities are nice and the pool and hot tubs are spacious.

We love the viceroy property. Great access to skiing. Viceroy front desk treated us differently at check in and check out. That’s my only beef with it being a VRBO property. But in all happy with stay.

Fantastic Location, Comfortable Condo

This condo had everything we needed for a long weekend ski trip. The ski in/out location was exceptionally convenient and the staff on the property was very helpful. the kitchen would be a little small if you were really trying to prepare meals (only two burners, small sink, etc.), but we were mostly eating out and using it for snacks and leftovers so it worked perfectly for our family of 3.

Viceroy is an amazing property! Not sure needs to be a VRBO Have had many great stays here hotel is a dog friendly space upon booking this unit I made sure owner accepted Service Dogs which was approved this unit was not up to standards of this property did not include any housekeeping or amenities other than pool & hot tub Would just book through hotel it’s self upon return

The property is self managed like a condo (not a hotel) so cleaning is not included - as stated on the property description. I clearly upset you when I asked you to pay an additional cleaning fee as your dog was very hairy/shedding and he slept in your bed. The rates at the Viceroy are almost double of what we are charging. So if you want daily cleaning, yes, please book through them.

Great week in Snowmass for our summer vacation!

My husband and teenage son had a great time in Snowmass while staying in this unit. The folks at the Viceroy were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to charge items to the room and use all of the hotel ammenities. The unit was very clean and well stocked with nice views. We were easily able to make up and put away the sofa sleeper each day and had a nice amount of room for "living" for the stay. Snowmass has a lot of activities in the summer and we had a great time participating in many of them. The walk to the Snowmass Village was easy but the Viceroy will shuttle you wherever you want to go if you prefer. Aspen was only 10 minutes away so it was easy to enjoy that area as well. We would definitely stay in this unit again!

Great location and amenities

Our family stayed a week for spring break and loved the location. Enjoyed having breakfast while watching the dogs playing on the slopes before the lifts opened. Great ski in/ ski out with wonderful ski valet and boot heater/storage. Shuttle service to anywhere within Snowmass for free. We ate at the slope side / pool bar for lunch and the food was good. Loved the large and clean hot tubs after a fun ski day. The condo is nice, clean, and the owner was responsive to a few maintenance requests. Unfortunately, they were not able to get the safe fixed. We cooked a casual dinner in the unit a few nights, heads up there is a microwave/oven combo, not a full oven, I may have missed that in the booking notes. The hotel staff were all very friendly and we really liked being part of the Viceroy service.

Wonderful family ski trip in Snowmass

This was our first time to Snowmass, and we’ll be back! It was a wonderful trip. Our stay in the Viceroy was top notch. Laren was helpful before we arrived and continued offering great support once we were onsite. The unit was clean and well suited for our family of 4. We were huge users of the fireplace and enjoyed the view of the slopes, particularly when all of the neighborhood dogs got together in the morning and afternoon. The grocery store is a 7 minute walk. Base Village is a 5 minute walk. Village Mall was a short gondola ride from Base Village. Base Village and Mall had plenty of great dining and entertainment options, but Aspen was only a 20 minute Uber ride and offered an even larger selection. And, of course, the skiing was as great as everyone said to would be. Very few lines and wonderful terrain for all levels. Our ski school experience with Gregg was great. As I said, we’ll be back and hope to stay in the Viceroy again.

Perfect ski in/ski out resort

We loved our recent stay at this unit located in the Viceroy Hotel. Beautiful views of Assay Hill overlooking the chair lift and ski valet area. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee at the dining table next to the windows while taking in the views and watching dogs playing in the snow. A quick trip downstairs and you’re at the ski shop to grab your heated boots, then walk outside to the ski valet where your poles and skis are waiting for you to click in and ski down the hill to the Assay Hill chair lift (no walking with your skis to the nearest lift required). At the end of the day we enjoyed relaxing with the 2 very large jacuzzis. Complimentary shuttles to/from the airport and Snowmass Village for dining/shopping was great and we didn’t even need to rent a car. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating even though we rented through VRBO. The unit was very clean and the perfect size for couples or a small family if using the pullout couch. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

This property is located within the Viceroy Hotel in Snowmass, which is a true ski-in, ski-out situation. It is basically a suite with a kitchen and is perfect for a couple, not sure I’d want to bring a child (unless a baby) as you’d have to deal with the pull-out every night. The hotel is very nice, has a boot room, ski concierge, pool and hot tub, nice restaurant, fitness room with windows etc. And you can walk to the newer Snowmass “base” with lots of restaurants although the walk will be nicer once the construction across the street is finished and the pedestrian bridge reopens. All in all an excellent, no-car-needed spot in the heart of Snowmass. Easy and responsive communication with opener as well.

Spring break

Had a great spring break just mom and kids. Met a lot of great people in the awesome heated pool. My kids had a blast. Definitely fun atmosphere. Awesome stay in Snowmass!

We stayed with our 10 and 7 year old daughters between Christmas 2020 and New Years. I was so anxious about traveling during a pandemic but am so glad that we did. The Condo/suite is in The Viceroy and includes all of the amenities that come with this resort. It’s on an easy green slope so I’m not sure location could have been any better for our family. During the holidays the Viceroy had complimentary hot chocolate and cookies daily when the lifts closed which was a favorite of our girls. Pitkin County required a negative COVID test to visit at the time which created some logistical hurdles all turned out well for our family and our visit. Masks were required and enforced all around the village and on lifts, lift lines etc. so we never felt unsafe.

Lovely Spot in the Heart of All You need in Snowmass

We'll absolutely be going back; we had to cut our trip short (external circumstances) but had a great time. Great spot for a couple looking to get away. We saw others w/ kids throughout the property as well so families would likely enjoy. Lots of amenities in and out of the room itself. They're doing a great job of taking appropriate measures for cleanliness and sanitation - we at no point felt unsafe or that not enough was being done. Location is great - quick ride up a gondola to the Snowmass walking mall, restaurants, and views. Base of the mountain has the same although a bit more crowded since there are a few other hotels in the vicinity - nothing overwhelming. Small shops and grocers are within walking distance. Can't wait to go back!

Great location, amazing property

Ski in/ski out honestly just doesn't get any better than this. The condo is small but very comfortable for two. We used the efficiency kitchen to make breakfast and snacks every day and it suited us very well for those purposes. One nice surprise was the full size fridge and double drawer freezer. The property is stunning with excellent staff and ameneties. Couldn't be happier with our stay and hope to come again next year.

Wonderful Room, Scary check in experience

The room and convenience of the location was top notch. However, at first I wasn't sure I was going to be able to stay. We arrived at 2PM, and the Viceroy didn't know my name or had knowledge I was coming. Turns out, the owner of the room didn't notify the Viceroy that I was coming. So we had to wait for cleaning, etc. and was told they would call us when the room was ready. They took our luggage and ski equipment while we hung out at the outside bar. After a couple hours, I decided to check back in since I hadn't received a call. Again, they weren't familiar with my name, and was told it would be a while longer. We decided to go eat dinner and explore the base camp and mall while the Viceroy continued room prep. By 7PM, I still hadn't received a call saying the room was ready, so again I went to the desk to check for myself. Turns out the room was ready by this point, they had just forgotten to call and notify me. So we went up to the room to find our luggage had not been delivered. I called down to the front desk, and finally at about 9PM our luggage was delivered. At first I was scared I had traveled 1000 miles across the country only to not have a place to stay. Also, the Viceroy took my luggage and it wasn't returned for 7 hours. Very nerve racking check-in experience. But after the initial nightmare, the Viceroy experience was better than any other resort I have stayed.

Michael, I am so sorry that happened. I just checked my notes and I definitely told the Viceroy you were coming on January 14th when you booked. Clearly that was a mistake on their part and unfortunately they blamed it on us. I will contact them and sort this out. It has never happened before so I am not sure how it did this time. I wish you would have reached out - we live just down the road so I could have come over and rectified the situation. Glad you enjoyed your stay though! Laren
