About this property

Relaxing getaway in a peaceful spacious setting

Our cottage is located near the beach (2 miles), 10 minutes from Island View Casino, and an hour from New Orleans. There are a variety of amenities (pool, indoor & outdoor kitchen, gazebo with fireplace, and DirectTV. The space is good for couples, solo adventurers, families, and military. It is also awesome for snowbirds seeking a peaceful and warm refuge from Northern winters.

There is a queen-sized bed in the house and air mattresses for additional guests that are booked.

The cottage is designed around an open space concept- all in one room with separate bathroom. You have a full cooking/dining area, TV nook, and queen bed. Of course, the bathroom is separate and has a door. Outside, our guests have access to the outdoor kitchen/bbq, Gazebo (with fireplace), Pergola, and pool.

Do not let our dogs in the cottage as they counter surf for food and invade trash cans
Things left outside at night are considered a gift for our dogs. Towels on pool fence ok.

The pool that is listed so beautiful was dirty. Cottage was stuffy and very dusty. The grounds and landscaping breath taking. Host was not present. One request was met immediately. However the cottage could have been cleaned a lot better. Location good

This guest provided a negative review in an attempt to get us or VRBO to refund her. I personally cleaned the cottage and had my house keeper check it before her stay. It was clean. Being winter the pool was not cleaned as it is not heated and used this time of year. This guest booked for two but had four people staying during their week rental. I work hard to provide a great guest experience and am very disappointed that this guest took advantage of me and VRBO.

The owner was very sweet to heat the pool for me, he also had firewood all ready for use. The t v's had all the apps he even had Netflix connected just for guest. The guest house was stocked with everything you may have forgotten and was very adorable.
I brought my projector hammock and enjoyed some nightly movies in front of this beautiful fireplace.
With the heater pool, I was able to chill out on at least 2 days of my trip. W ithout it, I would not have been able to.

Weekend getaway

The stay was great. The place was very peaceful and private. It’s not far from the beach or anything else that you would want to do. Communication with the owner was excellent. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone.
