Peaceful and cute cabin for two people. Bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. No issues with WiFi and the TV. Towels and sheets were really white. My husband love the screen in porch. Two bathrooms was nice.
We will return many times. Very clean, cozy, quiet cabin.. Host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this cabin. Short drive to Cades Cove.. on the quiet side of the Smokies..
Property was extremely clean. Well appointed. It is perfectly located for hiking in the national park. We used the gas grill to cook steaks and ate dinner out on the screen porch. It was a lovely property.
As always, we enjoyed our stay at Boulder Pass. Already reserved for next year. Cyndie’s cabins are always clean and welcoming. She is an awesome host!
We had a fantastic time with family. Our goal was to be somewhat close to Gatlinburg and this was not at all close. However we enjoyed the value with many amenities and closeness to the Smokies park entrance. The hot tub took a long time to heat up and had to stay on to be ready for us which in turn was both loud and quite humid inside. A cover would go a long way in helping contain the humidity and maintain the water temperature. All in all, we were very pleased with the experience. Our dog ended up causing some minor damage and I was impressed with rhe way management handled the situation. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

I wanted to take an opportunity to help you understand the hot tub directions that are posted and our reasons for this method.
The hot tub is to be drained daily after use. This takes care of several issues that are caused by indoor hot tubs.
An indoor hot tub left full of water creates unwanted humidity inside the cabin. Hot tubs are set up to circulate every so often when the water is present so that creates unwanted noise. That is what you were hearing at night.
In addition, when heated water is left in a hot tub, you must add unwanted chemicals . These chemicals are difficult to regulate in order to maintain a safe atmosphere for soaking. These chemicals are offensive to smell and they are magnified by the heat of the water.
Draining daily is the only way we can avoid these side effects of the chemical, heat and moisture they create.
I am sorry for any confusion and I do hope you will return to us in the future. We appreciate your business.
Beautiful house in an awesome location. Everything was better than advertised and all necessary instructions were clearly presented. Would definitely recommend and stay again
We enjoyed the house very much, and the location was off the grid somewhat(which we like). We saw deer many times while at the house. We were hoping to see a bear at the house. We will definitely stay at the house again. Thanks,Bret and Melanie
This cabin is beautiful, modern, and immaculately clean; the hosts go above and beyond with little touches like providing both dish soap and laundry detergent, which almost no one does. It's also conveniently close to Cades Cove and some genuinely excellent restaurants. Two things worth knowing before you book: First, if you're coming for privacy and seclusion, this isn't it. The neighbors are close enough that their dog in the yard could see us through our windows, and the sunroom has no curtains: lovely during the day, uncomfortable at night. Second, the "hot tub" is a jetted soaking tub in the sunroom. It's beautiful, but it fills from the tap, never exceeded 91, and has to be drained after each use. If you're expecting a maintained, chemical-treated hot tub that's ready when you arrive, adjust your expectations. If you go in knowing what it actually is — a lovely, well-equipped cabin close to the park — you'll probably love it. We just wished we'd read the listing more carefully.

The highlight of Boulder Pass is the sunroom that looks out onto the woods. The sunroom houses the beautiful sitting area and the hot tub. The focus here is the trees and the beautiful boulders that surround the property. The sunroom windows crank open for the effect of being outside while in the comfort of the cabin. To put drapes in the sunroom would restrict the use of the windows restricting the breeze that those windows allow and remove a good portion of the light that makes this room the perfect place to read or just enjoy the quiet of the setting and the abundant wildlife that passes through.
The living room is quite private and would be a place to enjoy in the evenings if you are not accustomed to the woodsy setting and open airy feel of the sunroom.
The hot tub is housed in this room instead of outside on an exterior deck. Inside, it can be enjoyed year round in any weather. Because it is inside there are several things that are different from the typical hot tub set up. It is filled and drained as used. Because of this, the tub does not require chemicals to maintain safe levels required for use. Those chemicals are harmful to breathe are difficult to maintain and are bad for the skin. Using the hot tub and draining it assures that you do not have the chemical build up in the house, as well as the increased humidity that accompanies it and the possibility of chemical burns to the skin.
Hot tub water temperature is being checked to confirm it is where it should be.
Privacy and seclusion are very subjective. I would consider this cabin to offer a great deal of privacy. The front main living areas include a wall of windows in both the sunroom and kitchen. The cabin is surrounded by trees and boulders on the front and both sides. This offers privacy plus a beautiful setting. The rear of the house only has two windows that could possibly have allowed the neighbors dog to see you. These windows have blinds to close for privacy.
We work very hard to make sure that every stay is as perfect as we can make it. We appreciate your stay very much.
