Enjoy Lakeside Living At Its Best On Lake Chatuge!

Come and enjoy both lakefront and mountain living at it's best! Stay a while with us at "The Roost" our luxurious lakeside view! This recently renovated and updated lakefront condominium is just perfect if you are seeking fun, relaxation and solitude.

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath sits on the lake and sleeps 4. This unit is fully equipped with a full kitchen, linens, bedding, two flat screen TVs, washer/dryer, high speed Internet and central heat and air. Completely renovated from floor to ceiling in 2022. The kitchen has beautiful custom cabinetry and Corian countertops. Dark plank ceramic flooring throughout. The furnishings are earthy with a contemporary feel. The Master Bedroom is beautifully furnished with a view of the lake, queen bed, flat screen TV and ample closet space. The second bedroom has direct access to a spacious stone patio. Both baths have been newly renovated with walk in showers, marble floors and new vanities.

The Roost comes with two outdoor entertaining areas, a lakeside deck with seating and dining options, and a stone patio for grilling, lounging, reading or taking a late afternoon snooze. Walk down a few steps from the lakeside, a great place to take a swim (new swimming dock!) or enjoy the sun. After dinner watch the sun set while enjoying a drink on the deck. Then top off the evening with a nice drink beside the fire pit while you make s'mores.

Please note: the boat dock is for Condominium Owners ONLY. You cannot access the dock nor park your boat there. If you need docking for your boat, please contact us and we can make recommendations. Kayaks and Canoes are no issue.

Enjoy the swimming dock! No diving please, and no boat docking - ever!

Being centrally located only, we are only 10 minutes from downtown Hiawassee, 30 minutes from Murphy NC, 15 minutes or less from Blairsville GA; Helen and Blue Ridge GA are about 45 minutes away. Highlands NC and other quaint mountain towns await your exploration!

Rooms were clean and well appointed. Didn’t do a whole lot of cooking since we were only there for the weekend, but we had everything we needed in the kitchen and it appeared we would have if we’d tried to prepare a large meal.The back porch with lake and Mountain View’s was our favorite part! We sat out there and relaxed quite a bit.

A welcoming home in a great location. You'll want to come back!

Of all the places we have rented for vacation, the Roost is the first one we've ever come back to. It has a very clean and friendly feel, an amazingly well equipped kitchen and a covered porch with cozy seating, dining and a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains beyond. Water sports and a gazillion good hiking trails close by. Great place.

"The Roost" is a hidden gem. It was clean and the furnishings were very cozy. It was perfect for my husband and I and our son. We had our own rooms and bathrooms. I would definitely recommend staying at this condo. The view is beautiful!!

Generally as described and very nicely located directly on Lake Chatuge, although the unit does not have boat docking for guests.

Thank you for the nice review. If you will review our web site and the welcome letter it plainly states there is no boat dock for VRBO guests. USFS site and Boundary Waters are very close, and what others have used.

The two bedroom condo was perfect for my husband and me. Our adult son joined us for two nights. Kitchen was setup well for cooking if you prefer to eat in. Nice front porch with seating and view of the lake. We would definitely like to stay there again.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed going to Blue Ridge and Ellijay, but the fall leaves were much more vivid in Hiawassee. The sunrise was amazing over the mountains and lake. Everything was perfect for our little weekend getaway. We will be back.

In the early 80's I worked for the SE Research Station for the US Forest Service. We did survey research on Lake Chatuge, and I've always loved that area.

After 12 years of working in Antarctica (McMurdo, Palmer, South Pole and circling the continent of Antarctica on the Nathanial B. Palmer Research Vessel/Ice Breaker). I gave it up and let someone else enjoy the adventure of it all.
