This city center modern apartment is set in a recently rebuilt building in old historic Lisbon.

4th floor apartment with balcony all around, is located on Rua Garrett, one of the most important streets of historic Lisbon, has a privilege situation in the heart of the cultural and historical part of the city (Chiado).

Very close to several museums, operas, theaters and churches. A few minutes walk takes you to the Rossio, in the Baixa, and to the Elevador da Lavra. The other direction, you will reach the Praça do Comércio, which is located in the center of the Portuguese old empire near the river Tejo (Tagus).

To go to Sintra you must take the train at Rossio. To go to Óbidos you have Entre-Campos train station or Campo-Grande bus station, which is just a short subway trip from Chiado.

Great location
Great stay, please please upgrade the bed. Springs are not comfortable to lay on. Everything else was perfect. Location is the best for shopping and food! Get to enjoy the city life and close to a lot of attractions.

Chiado apartments are so conveniently located…right in the heart of everything, yet once we were in the apartment all was peacefully quiet.

comfortable and central
This apartment was spacious, comfortable and central. It is on the 4th floor but there are two lifts which makes it easy. The bedroom is large and separate from the living/dining area. The kitchen has the essentials and the washing machine worked well. We were able to get everywhere we needed to easily. It was fun leaving our quiet respite area and being immediately in the busy part of town. Excellent bars and restaurants are just up the hill in Largo Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. It is less touristy there and good selections of cuisine.

Lovely place, in the heart of Baixa-Chiado. Great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here - and it was the first place we stayed in Lisboa. I was worried it would be complicated but it was very easy. A code to get in the main door and a room card key waiting for us up the elevator. The location was smashing - we were able to explore the main neighborhoods by foot and were even treated to an outdoor concert by Carminho just a few steps out the front door! The washer/dryer came in handy too.

Great Location for a short stay in Lisbon
The apartment is in a great location for a short stay in Lisbon. It had most of the things we needed. After travelling Europe for 6 week, we especially liked the clothes washer/dryer and the space in the apartment. We didn’t use the cooking facilities as the apartment is close to many good restaurants and cafes. An espresso coffee machine would have made the apartment even better, although you can get great coffees and pastries across the road and at other nearby cafes. We loved opening up the balcony doors and listening to busters singing opera and playing local music in the streets below the apartment during the evenings. The apartment could do with some improvements, the timber floor in the kitchen had lifted and caused a trip hazard, and the bathtub seemed to leak onto the bathroom floor.

Juste parfait pour visiter Lisbonne
L'immeuble est propre et sécurisé, et très bien situé dans le Chiado. L'appartement au dernier étage avec ascenseur était parfait pour quatre (nos deux ados dormaient sur le canapé convertible), bien équipé et préparé (linge, savons, sachets de thé et de café pour le premier petit déjeuner...). Le système d'accueil par le biais d'un email très détaillé nous indiquant comment accéder à l'appartement au moyen d'un code nous a parfaitement convenu car cela donne une souplesse au niveau de l'heure d'arrivée. Tout s'est parfaitement bien passé, je recommande cet appartement sans hésitation.

Location and good value.
Great location. Metro station just up the hill, down the hill and to the left is the Rossio train station. Lots of cafe shops and stores everywhere. Easy walk to Alfama district. Owners arranged airport pickup and delivery. Very helpful and responded to questions promptly. We purchased the Lisbon Card for ease with using train, buses, metro. Also provided free entry to some sites or discounts to others. Nice and quiet too.

Conveniently located
The apartment is situated in Chiado’s shopping area, close to metro and if you enjoy walking, many nearby sights and neighborhoods. Recommend the GREEN Viva viagem card—I got the white card, a mistake- there are no refunds. Sintra is well worth the trip, get their bus pass so you can hop on and hop off the buses that take you to the various sights. Nothing there is an easy walk. Our host Silvia met us on Christmas Eve, and was exceptional in her many tips and easy to reach when I had an important question come up, of all times on Christmas Day in the evening (the tankless water heater needed to be reset). Thank you Silvia! For a newer mattress, I must admit discomfort with a spring. A topper would be a welcome solution. All other features were top notch.

Perfect location in Lisbon!
This is our second stay with the Chiado Apartments. All of the responses and interaction with the staff has been immediate and first rate. The location on Rua Garret can't be beat. There's noting like being in the center of the city in the most convenient location possible. The friendliness of the Portuguese people, the terrific weather, food, wine and tremendous value throughout makes Portugal the number one destination in the world.

Wonderful Place
This place is great. Located in a very busy area of the Chiado, the double-paned windows kept out all the noise – even on a busy Friday night. Our room faced the side street and the Largo do Carmo with restaurants, a grocery store, and the remains of the Carmo Convent was a couple of blocks up the street. The metro (walking through it is an easy way to get from the Chiado to the Baixa) is close by - across from Cafe a Brasileira. The apartment was well equipped with stove, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hot water maker, coffee pot, dishes, pots, pans, etc. There was a welcoming bottle of vinho verde in the fridge and cups with tea and instant coffee set out for our use. We had a balcony which was an added bonus. Paulo, Silvia, and Mafalda were very helpful throughout, especially with arranging travel to/from the airport. This apartment would be a great place to stay for a month or more – if only we were fortunate to have that opportunity!

Home away from home
Our stay at Chiado apartment offered us the perfect location to see the sights of Lisboa, within walking distance to everything. The apartment was very clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped; starting in the kitchen were we found everything one would want, to the bedroom which was very spacious and had plenty of storage, to the bathroom which was very functional. Starting with the booking process, to the check in/out, and every time we had a request during our stay, the staff were very helpful. We chose the option to be picked up and dropped off at the airport, and we could not be happier for choosing this service; even with almost an hour delay on our arrival the driver waited for us and he was very pleasant to ride with. If the opportunity will arise in the future to go back to Lisboa we will definitely choose to stay at Chiado Apartments.

City Oasis
My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights in this apartment, and we wish our stay was for longer. The apartment is exactly as depicted in the promotional material. It is fully furnished, impeccably clean, and has all the comforts of home with a modern European touch. The service is outstanding. We were greated by a representative that explained all the ins and outs of the high security apartment, and showed us our way around lisbon with a map. Wifi was always available and the tv has well over 200 international channels. After drinking our complimentary vinho verde upon our arrival, we headed out to explore the city, which was super easy as the metro was right down the street, directly infront of A Brasileira - a coffee hot spot for tourists and locals alike ( highly recommended for pequeno almoco!) the location of the apartment is perfect, the apartment itself is perfect. Words cannot do it justice! Can't wait to return to this city oasis!

The perfect location for a Lisbon stay!
Great apartment! We really appreciated the meet and greet upon arrival. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Location was amazing and we felt very safe in the apartment. It was very hot during our stay in Lisbon so the air conditioning was a great bonus. There were several shops, cafes and restaurants close by. Strolling the Chiado district was a lot of fun and it was easy to access the other districts either by foot or trolley. Highly recommend to other travelers wanting to experience living in heart of Lisbon!

Perfect Apartment, Perfect Location
This apartment was in a fantastic location in the Chiado area of Lisbon and had all the amenities you would need. Clean, modern facilities with easy access to the metro and Rossio train station. Paulo was a gracious host who made himself immediately available if we needed anything. He arranged to receive a piece of lost luggage delivered to the apartment by the airlines while we were out sightseeing. It was in our apartment when we returned. Plenty to see and do right outside our front door. I would gladly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience Lisbon while feeling at home.

A great apartment in a perfect location.
We found the apartment to be perfect in every way. Couldn't ask for a better location in centre of the city. We really loved our balcony and made use of it after a big days walking around the city. Excellent 22 day rental, March 2013,
I can easily concur with all of the positive comments given in previous reviews. The management team (including Paulo, Sylvia and isabel) that I met, did everything in a most professional way. Any small problems, including some difficulties with a weak wifi signal were dealt with very quickly. If we were to return to Lisbon again, we would certainly choose to stay in one of Paulo's fine apartments. Comfortable, roomy, all expected conveniences, quiet, very clean, great location.

Beautiful apartment in charming Chiado.
Comfortably appointed and very clean apartment with all amenities suited us perfectly. Paulo facilitated the arrangments without delay: prompt email response when seeking the rental, easy Paypal deposit set-up, met us at apartment upon our arrival. Great location in Chiado with quick access to metro/tram, perfect for touring. Close to supermarket and shopping. We appreciated the WiFi which functionned well. If you are considering visiting Lisbon, we would encourage travellers to rent this apartment and look into buying the Lisbon Card which includes access to many monuments/museums and transportation. Overall, a beautiful stay

What a fabulous apartment in a very central location of Lisbon. We were greeted on arrival and shown how things worked and the service even extended to booking a taxi for our departure. GREAT LISBON APARTMENT
We were very satisfied with this apartment. It is very comfortable, safe, clean, airy and bright. The location couldn't be better for a first time visitor to Lisbon... easy walking distance to many city landmarks and restaurants ( recommend "Sacramento" just around the corner). Paulo responded quickly and efficiently to our few requests... i.e. arranged transport back to the airport ... on time, classy car and driver ... sure beats using a taxi. Would definitely book this apartment again.

Amazing Apartment Amazing Service
My husband and I love to travel and decided that Portugal would be the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. From the first inquiry and response from Paulo to the last day of our honeymoon we were very impressed and happily surprised with the service. The apartment is exactly as it is pictured, and the details were spot on. It was clean, updated, and secure. We were able to walk to many of Lisbons historic sites, and to all forms of transportation that would take you to one of Lisbons 7 hills or to distances such as Porto. I cannot say enough about the luxury it was to have a home in a foreign city, the balcony was private enough that it felt intimate however close enough to the main roads that you could see the city moving. Paulo and his staff were very attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying at any one of the Chiado Apartment properties.

Lovely apartment - great location
Lisbon is a great place and the apartment just topped off the holiday. It was really nice and clean with great facilities. It is in a great location for exploring Lisbon and the surrounding area. Chiado is quite a noisy area but we knew that before we booked and it didn't bother us - and if it had, we could have just closed the blinds and put the air con on! Paulo was very helpful when our travel plans changed and there was even a bottle of wine waiting for us.

Right in the heart of it all
This was our first time in Lisbon so we had few expectations, and only a cursory knowledge of the neighborhoods. Little did we know we had booked an apartment at the epicenter of the Chiado, Rua Garrett, vibrant, bustling, exhilarating and virtually impossible to get to if arriving by car, as we were (we eventually realized this, parked the car, a walked the last few blocks). We were met by a very amicable and welcoming owner's representative who oriented us in our 4th floor apartment which turned out to be unbelievably calm, removed from the urban excitement with balconies opening onto a much quieter side street. The apartment matched our expectations well, very clean, nicely furnished (including an invaluable washing machine!) and comfortable for a family of four despite the use of the bed-settee (which itself could benefit from an upgrade in mattress comfort). Also, the parking garage was just a short walk away, and secure, such that we could forget about the car until the day we departed. For a first visit to the city this was an ideal location and great property. We would be confident renting this or other apartments from this owner again as the whole process was made easy from booking through arrival to check-out.
