Cozy/warm Near-Commuter rail, Boston, Airport, Casino and More !
Boston Encor- less than 1.5 miles from The Chelsea House!
THE CHELSEA HOUSE is an apartment, on a tiny one-way street, the 3rd floor of a quiet, clean three-family brick building. The unit is very well maintained and recently furnished. Hardwood floors, exposed brick, and slanted loft ceilings creating lots of light, charm, and a warm cozy atmosphere. Free on-site parking upon request.
This is our home away from home and we have now decided to share it with others. Thank you in advance!
Please remember, Chelsea is right outside of Boston, not directly in the city, but very close, less than 10 minutes away by public transportation. All public transportation is 3 - 10 minutes walk.
The Chelsea House is on the third floor, with 24 steps to climb, consider this when booking, especially, if you have large or heavy luggage or any issues with back or walking.
The building was built in 1900. It is very well maintained without losing its charm, but be mindful of the stairs inside are steep and narrow. Always use caution.
The apartment is fully equipped and set up for guests (our personal belongings are put away) everything in it is for your use, during your stay, AC s, Smart TV (no cable but streaming available), High-speed internet, iron and board, shampoo/soaps, toothpaste, microwave. Blowdryer/straightener (in vanity drawer) and free parking!
The kitchen is well stocked and has spices, and is ready to be cooked in. There s an electric fireplace with additional heat for the winter months or just enjoy the fire without the heat in warmer months.
If traveling with children 6 and up there s a variety of toys and a collection of children s books available. There are great parks in the area too. With younger children, there is a portable crib, portable high chair, baby blankets, towels, toys, books and an umbrella stroller, a child booster seat too!
Guests will have full private use of the apartment. There are a coin-operated washer and dryer, in the basement, which is a shared space with the other tenants.
Parking is only available during your stay, please do not park until check-in time at 3 pm and remove the car when you check-out at 11 am. I'm happy to accommodate if you d like to park it earlier or later, if I can but, arrangements must be made beforehand or when making a reservation. Thank you.
There is no interaction with me, but I can be contacted at any time for anything through here. Hands-on help is available if needed.
The building is located 5 minutes away from the airport which is extremely convenient but, keeps in mind there is noise. The planes have different routes but, there will be days where their routes are over us. The apartment is soundproof which helps.
There is only 1 parking spot. Although you can fit a truck in the parking spot, it's easier to fit a sedan size car or smaller, if you don't park well. The parking spot is directly NEXT to the building, NOT ACROSS the building. The 3 parking spaces across the building are for the building across the street. Do not park there, they will tow you.
I put a portable AC in the living room. The vent is out of the sliding door. I did t seal it completely so you can open the door for sea breeze on cooler nights, just be gentle with it. Of course, this and the other AC s will be removed for the cold months starting October. Remember to be mindful and help keep heat and ACs in control, lower hear when you are out, shut off Acs. Always, shut the electric fireplace when not in use.
The city square is very close, sometimes during the summer, they hold summer nights to enjoy. And the local theater puts on plays in the surrounding parks. At CHRISTMAS time there is a tree lighting ceremony. Don t miss it! If you stay in December.

Lucia is very kind and accommodating. She has a lovely space close to central Boston with close public transit accessible. I would highly recommend coming to stay.
Very warm, historic feel to apartment with high slanted ceilings, skylights and exposed brick located in an equally beautiful historic street and neighborhood. A surprise around every corner, including a balcony and antique furnishings. The nearby parking spot between the buildings is great. The kitchen was well equipped with a full-size dining table. A memorable stay!
Nice place with a very helpful hostess. Easy access to Boston for our needs. Was fun watching the planes coming in or out of Logan, but it didn't go on late so was no issue sound wise.
We were delighted with our accommodations. The apartment had so much character and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was walking distance from many wonderful places to eat also.
The host was very kind and responsive. Our stay couldn’t have been any better!

You’re welcome and come back anytime. Glad you enjoyed everything.
We booked this for our trip to Boston. This was in a great location with a short walk to buses to take to in to the city. The place itself was clean and cozy. Lucia instructions were clear and she was an excellent communicator. I would recommend this place.
Great time at this fun little — yet spacious — electic hideaway! Loved the exposed brick, angles and old house charm! All we needed for a weekend getaway and so much nicer than a plain old hotel. Great communication with owner!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chelsea. Lucia has such a well appointed, charming, clean and comfortable property as well as being a great space for all four of us. Lucia was great to communicate with us with information and queries and was such a considerate and welcoming host. We would highly recommend a visit.

The location was just right for our needs. Plenty of food choices. Able to walk to the train or us stops to get into Boston. Went to Sam Adams brewery, did the Freedom Trail , tour of Fenway park and went to a Bruins game all via public transportation.

Apartment with lots of character. You can feel that the apartment has been lived in and that everything is personal. This is very inviting for travelers passing through.
Everything is well explained and the owner is always on hand if there's anything you need. It was a very pleasant stay.
Character and charm of staying in an old East coast apartment. Clean and comfortable. Owner provided very detailed information and lots of extras to help with exploring the area, and to make the most of a trip. Highly recommend!
We loved this apartment/bungalow. Beds are great. Amazing communication with Lucia.
Kitchen supplies and snacks.
Having that parking spot is a huge bonus.
Quirky, convenient, comfortable and clean.

Relatively quick Uber or taxi rides to and from airport. The area has a large selection of Hispanic restaurants but lacks cafes and other types of restaurants within walking distance.
Its bigger than what the pictures make it out to be

As you can see from my reviews here and my over 350 reviews on other sites, my place is rated more than just OK, 5 stars. If you felt differently, it would be helpful to get some proper feedback. Thanks.
staying here absolutely made me feel like a local. While the short time I stayed here Lucia answered every question or concern in an instant. It’s in the perfect spot for absolutely any sightseeing with anything at most being an half an hour away with traffic! The house and all the amenities are so wonderful it almost makes you want to stay home. I can’t imagine coming to Boston again and not staying here. Thank you for allowing us we will absolutely be back :)

Thank you!!! I glad you enjoyed everything. You are welcome here anytime.
This apartment had a well equipped kitchen, very clean, and comfy beds. Being close to the bus line made it easy going to downtown Boston. As for the parking space, it was great to have a spot right next to the apartment for my medium size SUV, but any larger and it might not fit. Other than this, our stay was very nice and made our trip to Boston wonderful!
Lucia was great with getting back to us quickly with answers to our questions!
Charming unit, wonderful neighbourhood, convenient for public transit
Lucia is a great host, very welcoming, helpful and available. She was able to accommodate both an early checkin and late checkout!! Her unit is charming, an older home with exposed brick, it is comfortable and extremely well-equipped. Beds were comfortable. Many extra homey touches let us know that this is a well-loved space with care for guests. We loved exploring the neighbourhood with great local restaurants, big food store nearby, and a close bus with speedy access to the T.
This was a nice old, refurbished, apartment in Chelsea. This was just close enough to Boston to do the Boston tourist things without staying in the city proper. With the included parking space we were able to park upon arrival and just use public transpiration. It was great!
There was a repair issue that arose during our stay, and as soon as I messaged about it, arrangements were made for the repair to happen. Communication was wonderful! I would gladly stay here again if I ever return to Boston.
Great location across the bridge in Chelsea from Boston. Easy access to MBTA bus and a short walk if you need the train. The neighborhood is predominantly latin so enjoy the Mexican food options! Taxi from the airport was ~$17 plus tip so not bad. Please be aware that stairs are unavoidable in this flat, and they are narrow so mind your step. The building is old, as is expected in Mass. so don't be alarmed where there are uneven floors. Bed was cozy and there was plenty of space. Great little spot!
Lucia is wonderful host, lovely apartment, very accomodating
Everything as listed, but nicer than in photo. I was staying at the apartment with the teenage children of a friend, and it worked out well for all. Plenty of space. So quick to the airport, and parking included. What is said about the stairs are true, very steep and narrow but we were able to lug our bags up there with minimal difficulties and good railings for those like me who have some knee issues. I did not find it difficult at all. The bus is close by, so we left the car parked and used mass transit everywhere. Overall Chelsea can be a little iffy at night, but we felt very secure at the apartment. Lucia was very prompt at answering and accommodating.

About the host

I love to travel and know exactly what I want which makes me comfortable when traveling. I've never cared much for hotels. They are less personal and I lose the feeling of somewhat living like a local. This is what I hope to offer you, a cozy place with comfortable beds and spacious rooms all completely clutter-free but, have all the little things you may find you'll need, even if it's simply basil to cook with.
The Chelsea House is where my family and I stay for months at a time, so it is still very much our home.
Why they chose this property
Why not, it's has a feel of local living. The city itself has just enough and has its own history and charm. It's minutes to Boston. The place is very spacious, clean, cozy, and charming. It's also cleared of our personal stuff, so you will not feel like you're intruding on someone else's home or belongings.
What makes this property unique
When I was young I decided to buy a property. I did it on my own, waiting tables. When I first looked at this property, I knew it was for me. There was a charm in the city itself that I loved. It had a feeling of being in Boston with accents like the city square, the gas street lights, some cobblestone streets, I could feel the city's history all around me. I loved that the Harbor and Boston skyline was just a few blocks away. I loved that it's a tiny city just outside the big city. But what I loved the most, was the potential charm I knew the apartments had. Little by little I took down walls with my bare hands to expose the lovely rustic brick. The brick and the slanted, high ceilings give the place its charm and coziness I knew it would.
