Peaceful stay

Fabulous property and really kind owners who helped with questions and queries we had, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable . Lots to do in the surrounding areas, caves, canoeing, picnicking, castles, beautiful villages and lots more for another visit. We will be back.

Paradise in France!

We thought this was a lovely holiday home in a very peaceful location. As a barn conversion it is incredible with bathrooms that would rival a 5* hotel and a pool with a wonderful view. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen really well equipped . Best of all it was absolutely wheelchair friendly with a lift (yes really!) and a spacious wet room as stylish as they come! What a find! Yann, the owner, was welcoming and obviously wants his guests to enjoy a relaxing stay. It is so restful and we would recommend it to anyone, especially a wheelchair user looking for rustic charm but with every convenience carefully thought out. Didn’t want to leave!

Lovely home in a gorgeous setting

La Fragonille is welcoming, elegant and full of light. All the furniture is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is convenient and well-stocked. The setting is extraordinarily lovely--it was a pleasure to step out each morning and gaze at the landscape. The weathervwas too cool for us to use the pool, but it's located in such a way as to enhance the view. Aurelie and Charlotte were warm and helpful hosts and we enjoyed talking to them. It was easy to get groceries and other supplies in nearby Le Bugue. We filled our days with visits to three of the fascinating sites in the area: the Chateau Beynac, Chateau les Milandes (which was Josephine Baker's home for many years) and the magficent Jardins d'Eyrignac. All in all it was a lovely visit and we feel lucky to have found La Fragonille.

Une location idyllique dans une région magnifique

Nous sommes restés une semaine à la Fragonille et sincèrement c’était bien trop court. Entre un hébergement bien pensé et douillet, une terrasse propice à la rêverie et aux apéros, une piscine faisant la joie des grands et des petits, le tout au sein du magnifique Périgord Noir ( oú tourisme et art de la table cohabitent parfaitement). Merci à Aurelie et Benoit pour leur accueil et les bon petits plans ! Nous reviendrons, ceci est certain !

Idyll in traumhafter Lage

Wir haben zu dritt eine wunderschöne Woche in der sehr schön und komfortabel renovierten alten Tabakscheune La Fragonille verbracht. Wir haben es genossen, morgens noch vor dem Frühstück vor dem Haus unseren Espresso zu trinken und abends auf der Terrasse mit einem Glas Wein in absoluter Dunkelheit den Sternenhimmel zu genießen. Nach den Ausflügen sind wir in die absolute Ruhe des Hauses zurückgekehrt und haben den schönen Pool mit seinem traumhaften Ausblick genutzt. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und sprechen sehr gut englisch.

Très bonne expérience

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à la Fragonille. Le lieu est très calme et reposant. Très bonne situation par rapport aux lieux touristiques. Yann sait rester discret tout en restant à notre disposition en cas de besoin. Nous retournerons à la Fragonille avec plaisir .

Lovely Family Holiday at La Fargonille

We had a very enjoyable stay at La Fargonille. The house is lovely and the pool was a real highlight, especially for the kids. Yann and Aurelie are close by, but we had total privacy during our stay and hardy ever saw them (unless we needed them for anything).

Gemütliche komfortable Location in der wunderschönen "Bruno"-Region

"La Fragonille" ist eine gemütliche, komfortable und großzügig ausgestattete Unterkunft auf großem Grundstück mit schönem Swimmingpool in einem kleinen Weiler in der wunderschönen Region des Perigord, an der Grenze des Perigord Noir zum Perigord Blanc. Die Region bietet zahlreiche touristische Highlights und Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten, auch aktives "Urlauben" mit Kanufahren auf Vézère oder Dordogne, Wandern, Fahrrad fahren ist möglich. Es gibt an der Dordogne (Sarlat oder Castelnaud-la-Chapelle) mindestens ein Unternehmen, das kombinierte Programme mit Abholen und Fahrradvermietung anbietet, also sozusagen den "Touristen-Triathlon" (das Schwimmen wird durch das Kanufahren ersetzt). Chef de Police "Bruno" agiert keine zehn Kilometer von "La Fragonille" entfernt und wer Glück hat wie mein Mann, der läuft vielleicht Brunos Erfinder über den Weg. Von den freundlichen Vermietern wurden wir herzlich empfangen und erhielten sehr viele Tipps, sie sprechen sehr gut Englisch. Wer die Ruhe und morgens wie abends den Blick in die freie Landschaft mag, ist hier genau richtig. Einkaufen, Gastronomie, usw.: Dafür sind stets Autofahrten über Nebenstraßen einzuplanen.

très belle maison pour des vacances en famille, dans un cadre calme et magnifique

Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances en famille dans cette maison au mois d’Août et nous avons adoré: la maison est très bien décorée, très pratique, la cuisine est parfaitement équipée. L'extérieur est très apaisant: lorsqu'on profite de la piscine à débordement avec paysage à perte de vue, on se dit que les vacances sont réussies :) Pour ne rien gâcher les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disposés à vous donner tous les bons plans du coin dont il faut profiter!

Lovely cottage in beautiful setting

We stayed for seven days and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The cottage is exactly as advertised but bigger than the photos. The cottage is well located to visit various centres in the Perigord area. The location is just stunning and we enjoyed swimming and sitting outside having a drink or a meal. Yan and Aurelie are the perfect hosts - very welcoming and helpful but discreet. Would absolutely recommend

Lovely secluded home, yet close to many sights.

We spent almost a week on our first visit to the Dordogne and had a wonderful time. Aurelie and Yann were the perfect hosts. We were four adults, and the house could easily have accommodated two more people. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked in each night. Although "La Fragonille" was secluded, it was not difficult to travel to any of the sights. We visited the caves, castles and just enjoyed the scenery. A car is necessary. We did not use the pool because of the time of year, but we enjoyed having it in our view as we sat on the porch each night. I recommend highly.

Beautiful home in a fabulous location

We chose this gite because of the lovely outside space with the infinity pool overlooking fields. It is beautifully designed and compliments the building well in this tranquil setting. The gite itself was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable with lots of natural wood everywhere. It was spotless on arrival. The owners, whom are a lovely family, live in the adjacent building. They were very friendly and made a number of useful recommendations about what to do locally, as well as plying is with fresh figs from the garden. Equally important, they were very discreet and respectful of our privacy. The location made a good base from which to visit several towns and tourist attractions as well as being easy to reach from the airport. We would wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.

Een adresje om te koesteren!

La Fragonille is een adresje om te koesteren. Je zou het geheim willen houden maar dat kan je de sympathieke eigenaars niet aandoen ☺. De gîte is met veel smaak gerenoveerd op volledig ecologisch wijze en voorzien van alle moderne en nodige comfort. Het huis is supernetjes en ook het zwembad wordt zeer goed onderhouden. Het huis is rustig gelegen in een kleine charmante ‘hameau’, met een prachtig uitzicht. In het nabijgelegen dorpje (10min per auto) vind je bakkers en een kleine superette. In een stadje op 20 min rijden heb je voldoende keuze aan winkels en grootwarenhuizen. De eigenaars, Aurélie en Yann wonen naast de gîte, maar respecteren de privacy van hun huurders. Voor vragen en/of tips over de omgeving kan je wel altijd bij hen terecht. In de omgeving valt sowieso heel wat te beleven (mooie dorpjes, kastelen, grotten, prehistorische sites, kayak, fietsen, paardrijden …). Wij verbleven hier 2 weken met onze 3 kinderen en zouden zeker terugkeren!

Exquisite, calm, spacious, unobtrusively wheelchair accessible

The most beautiful, well equipped, peaceful, beautifully landscaped, artistically designed place we've stayed. The hosts ensured our privacy was respected, but were available with suggestions and to answer questions in English or French. The pool, nestled in greenery next to three cherry trees, was a delight - and the sides of the pool we're slightly padded so those of us who backstroke didn't smash our heads. That exemplifies the attention to every detail. My husband enjoyed fresh-picked cherries from the trees. Everything on the extensive property was organic and spacious. The place is equidistant from 2 villages, and a 10 minute drive from a town. Nearby are wonderful caves with 13,000-year-old art. We loved it and were sorry to leave.

Magnifique Séjour !

Un très joli hameau typique, verdoyant et calme, le gîte est charmant avec son authenticité (vieux séchoir à tabac), il est spacieux, très bien équipé et décoré avec goût. La vue est imprenable sur toute la campagne, piscine à débordement très agréable ! Extérieur bien entretenus, terrasse ensoleillée et abritée. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques, accueillant et prêts à rendre services. Ils nous ont très bien conseillés. Nous y reviendront c'est sûr !
