This is a great cabin located in a very peaceful setting along the river out in the woods. The host and her staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Stayed here to explore for a few days as I headed to Texas. Jan was so welcoming and made sure to help with any question I had. The cabin was perfect for me and had all the necessities.

I was glad that you were able to find some souvenir crystals from digging at Crystal Vista and one of our local crystal mines.
It was a wonderful experience with the new owners. We stayed in the middle of a change, and I am very happy with our stay. My husband and I with our 4 kid's. We went mining and into Hot Springs for go karts and zip lines. Pet friendly is such a plus because our dog Maya is a part of our family too and she was welcomed too🐕❣️ God Bless😊
Property is right by the river and Ouachita National Forest. In warmer weather it’s the perfect spot for tubing and canoeing. In cooler weather there’s tons of hiking nearby. The owners are very accommodating and helpful!

Beautiful views!
Was disappointed in the cleanliness after reading reviews. Did have a huge problem with cats. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. The owner and manger were very nice and responsive. Great views from back deck.

Hi Laura, Thank you for the review! After your feedback during your stay we trapped all the wild cats that kept coming up to your patio from the National Forest and took them to a shelter in Hot Springs :)
We also discussed the dirt/bugs by your patio door with our cleaning team.
I think you’ll see some great improvements next time you visit! We’ve only been here one month and are making leaps and bounds in our improvements!
Hope to see you soon!
We loved our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was exceptionally friendly and answered all of our questions. We spent time at the river searching for rocks. We took walks around the property and build a fire. We explored the area and dug for crystals. It was hunting season and the owner warned us about hiking in the national forest without wearing orange was a bad idea. We are making plans to return in the spring.

So glad you guys had fun! We hope your son found enough crystals and rocks to hold him over until the spring time :)
My sister and I enjoyed every bit of this place! Jan and the other staff of the property were so kind and generous! They take their time to go over the property and what the area has to offer. The cabin was fully functioning and cozy. The best part was its right on the river and they take you to where you need to go for kayaking or tubbing.
The resort was peaceful and beautiful. There had been a lot of rain and the river was high, so we did not get to enjoy the river activities as much as we may have liked, but we spent time walking the land and exploring. Our son really enjoyed fishing, catching lizards and snakes, and seeing what a VHS player was.
The amenities were great as well, with everything we needed to relax and enjoy as though it was our own cabin. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed, the porch was a favorite place to relax after the day was done and the bedroom was clean and neat.
Our main goal was to do some quartz mining and Jan was very helpful in pointing out directions and places to go. The resort is close to the Wegner mine and you can find interesting rocks out on the paths as well, if that is your thing.
All in all it was a great place and I would certainly look to go back next time we are in the area.
Everything you want is here. Canoeing, fishing, swimming etc! So glad we made it before it flooded with the rain! Jan is a doll and will help you! Will be coming back.
This was a wonderful place to get away from the world and rest in God’s glory. It was so peaceful and it felt like time went backwards 20 years. We even watched VHS movies. Jan and her team are very nice and tended to our needs immediately.
This is a nice secluded place by the Ouachita river. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed for our family with little kids. Fully equipped kitchen, lots of toys and games, books and movies that can be borrowed from the office. They have everything you need in the office even if you forget something. We borrowed a waffle maker too! We did grilling by the deck and also setup campfire and had smores while watching so many fireflies in the night. The river is beautiful and calm and we did canoeing and the children were able to play safely in the water. The staff was very helpful, Mr. Travis helped my kids with fishing and they caught their first fish and they were very excited!
Overall, an excellent getaway :)
We enjoyed our stay very much even though the river was too high to enjoy. The cabin was very comfy and a great place to hang out. The grounds there are wonderful and we enjoyed the swing area. We had fun playing games and laughing on the covered deck. We enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels too.
it was just what we wanted. It was clean, well supplied and ideally located. we did not want to be near a city so it was perfect for us.

Montgomery county doesn't even have a red light in it, nearest one is 35 miles away. We are only 3/10 of a mile off of paved highway, but we are remote.
Our stay was so peaceful and they shuttles us up river. The workers helped us get our kayaks out as well. Defiantly somewhere to relax and unplug.

Beautiful/Family friendly
We had a great weekend. I was pleased at how clean our cabin (#3) was. Jan was very informative with the trails that we were interested in going to. We will be coming back with our kids on the next trip. I was also very impressed at how the bath towels smelled (yes, that sounds weird) because most places you stay at have towels with a strong bleach smell. She definitely takes pride in making sure things are nice and clean. If you are looking for somewhere that is clean...then this is your place.

About the host
Hosted by Amanda Sullivan
Hi! Our names are Casey and Amanda Sullivan. We were married in August 2020, and closed on this beautiful property in October 2020. It was a whirlwind year to say the least!
We moved from Denver, Colorado to enjoy all that Arkansas has to offer (so many outdoor activities are in this area).
We have 3 children, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 highland cow, 1 kune kune pig, and 12 chickens!
Why they chose this property
We love this property because it is so secluded and peaceful. Surrounded on 3 sides by National Forest and the Ouachita River on the other really sets it apart from anywhere else. Our children (and ourselves) get to discover new and exciting plants and creatures we have never seen all the time, and go on fun river trips together.
What makes this property unique
The peaceful riverfront is a dream. The only place around you can just walk right down to the water, sunbathe on the peninsula, fish, and enjoy both river and national forest right from your cabin.
