At 354m above sea level and at the foot of Mont Canigou (2784m), Prades is one of the sub-prefectures of the Pyrénées-Orientales, located in the Conflent, 45kms from Perpignan, 52kms from Canet, 45kms from Font-Romeu and ski resorts in winter. Ancient fortified city founded in the 9th century, Prades is rich in monuments and small masterpieces, witnesses of the bourgeois prosperity of previous centuries, such as the decorated facades, the sculpted fountains, the oratories, the old washhouses, the Jacomet house with its half-timbering, classified as historic monuments ....
