Cocoon yourself by immersing yourself in the exceptional landscapes of Fenouillèdes. At the top of a wooded hill. Exceptional view. Calm and full nature. In a small mountain region enjoying a Mediterranean climate with practically constant sunshine. Completely renovated, this gîte was the old village cafe. Its decor is inspired by the Catalan firebird: the hoopoe.
You will have the entire accommodation in complete independence. In a large bright room opening onto the balcony-terrace by two large windows, there is a comfortable kitchen area as well as a lounge area with TV. Nice cozy room with two twin beds. Brand new bathroom with walk-in shower and separate WC. Ideal for a couple. Not overlooked. Comfort. WIRELESS. Baby equipment. Possibility of an extra bed. Pets welcome. The sea is not far!

The farmhouse is very old and was built on a rock, on a promontory. We see the rock outcrop in the lower bedroom. The church next to the gîte dates from the 12th century. Since Felluns is away from the road and has only 50 inhabitants, it is safe to walk around and let the children play freely. A small playground adjoins the gîte. We also have access to a bowling green at the top of the village. There are no shops, but a bakery-grocery van passes almost every day. In the neighboring town (St Paul de Fenouillet) there is a supermarket, a petrol station, banks, etc.

Felluns in an authentic and wild Mediterranean setting, the Fenouillèdes, one of the 7 regions of the Eastern Pyrenees. At the crossroads of very different landscapes between sea, mountains and Cathar country. One hour from the gîte, you can discover:
 - in the North the Corbières with the Gorges de Galamus, the Pays Cathare and its castles: Peyrepertuse, Quéribus...
- to the east, the Roussillon plain, the sea and its beaches: Toreilles, Canet en Roussillon and further Collioure ...
- in the South the Canigou massif, the Conflent, its medieval villages and its Romanesque abbeys.
- in the West, the very rural Haute Vallée de l'Aude with the Bugarach massif, Rennes-le-château ...

Starting from the gîte on foot, you can discover the vineyard, dolmens, a Roman aqueduct, Caramany lake, an orientation table, magnificent panoramas and a swimming area in the secret river (which will be revealed to you at the gîte). .. Many hikes are possible all around Felluns and throughout the region. A few minutes by car from the cottage, you can practice canyoning, rafting, climbing and discover the many swimming areas in the area (natural pool, lake, river, gorges, fun pool ...)

Another of the unknown riches of this incredibly beautiful country: its wine: Côtes du Roussillon, Maury, Rivesaltes ... The opportunity to taste these wines with a strong personality.

Très agréable séjour

Logement et accueil au top

Dans une vieille maison de village, doté d’un long balcon où l’on peut prendre ses repas et câliner les chats de la maison, appartement super équipé et accueil des plus chaleureux. Fabienne a préparé des classeurs de randos,baignades, visites…et est aux petits soins pour ses vacanciers. Merci à elle. Le village est un peu isolé mais en pleine nature,les routes étroites et en lacets, mais plusieurs lieux de baignade à proximité, dont une très agréable piscine communale. Randonner, marcher, visiter, nager, ce gîte est le point de départ de multiples activités et plaisirs.

Séjour parfait !

C'était notre premier séjour dans cette région et nous n'avons pas été déçus, notamment du fait de la superbe terrasse, des coins de baignade à proximité et des nombreuses activités aux alentours. Le logement était propre et équipé, conformément à l'annonce, et Fabienne est une hôte aux nombreux bons conseils avec qui il a été agréable de discuter quand nous nous croisions. Feilluns est certes un coin un peu reculé, et il faut s'attendre à faire un peu de route, mais c'est ce qui fait son charme et sa tranquillité, et les routes sont agréables et peu fréquentées. Nous recommandons chaleureusement !

Felluns ,village niché dans un écrin de verdure,vue époustouflante, dépaysement total, accueil divin

Dès le village de St Paul des Fenouillèdes , nous étions sous le charme de la région. L’arrivée dans le petit village de Felluns nous a conquis , lové dans un écrin de verdure avec ses maisons accrochées au-dessus de la vallée. Mais nous n’avions encore rien vu ... Fabienne est venue nous accueillir souriante et nous a présenté le gîte café Abadie. Là , le séjour se dessinait sous les meilleurs auspices, vue à couper le souffle sur la terrasse , à l’intérieur une déco apaisante où tout a été pensé et conçu pour le bien-être, équipement, literie, super douche à l’Italienne. Nous avons rapidement compris que 3 jours ce serait trop peu dans ce petit coin de paradis. C’est un endroit hors du temps, hors de tout, où tout invite à se ressourcer, à poser ses valises et oublier ses angoisses si il y en a !!! Fabienne a tout prévu et nous ne risquions de nous ennuyer (même si ça fait du bien de s’ennuyer un peu). La région que nous ne connaissions pas recelle de beaux trésors , rando ( avec des cèpes en chemin) des habitants accueillants et ouverts, des petits coins de baignade pas loin de rappeler la Corse (c’est peu dire). Nous y reviendrons c’est sûre Fabienne et tu m’as promis le gîte de la grotte qui a un charme fou aussi. Je veux voir encore ce nuage en forme de visage éphémère, les chats qui nous rapportaient à manger le soir. Séjour enrichissant avec de belles rencontres dans un endroit magique , nous n’y reviendrons pas par hasard. Merci et bravo Fabienne pour ce que tu as réalisé, objectif atteint , bien-être et bonheur , la vie tout simplement . J’allais oublier dans tout ça merci Abritel

L'appartement est très bien équipé, propre, l'hotesse fut très aimable malgré notre arrivée plus tardive que prévu. Le réveil au chant des oiseaux fut très charmant. les possibilités de rando velo dans cette région spectaculaire furent une révélation. la visite de restaurant n'est pas toujours simple. en résumé, très agréable séjour! Tout simplement parfait.

Séjour magnifique, sous un soleil resplendissant et des paysages superbes. Petit gîte dans un tout petit village niché au milieu des montagnes. Nous le conseillons à tous les amoureux de randos, de calme et de nature. Il y a de quoi faire sans aller loin. Accueil à l'office du tourisme de Saint Paul de Fenouillet excellent, de très bons conseils et avec le sourire. Un grand merci à Fabienne, pour sa simplicité et sa discrétion et toute en harmonie avec les lieux. L'idée du panier de légumes est très bonne, le classeur d'activités est très bien tenu et riches en idées de découvertes. Le gîte est tout simplement parfait, très bien tenu et juste comme il faut pour passer un excellent séjour, avec une vue sur les montagnes dès que l'on ouvre les yeux !...... Michel et Marie-Noëlle

Comfortable characterful gite up in the hills

This gite has superb views from a south facing balcony which would be a sun trap in good weather (we were unfortunate and had two unusually wet days out of four!). The cottage is small but there’s plenty of space for two people with comfortable twin beds and comfortable chairs in a sitting area. There is a very good modern shower in a wet room. The kitchen is quite well equipped with hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave/oven. There was a kettle for brits, and a coffee maker. The village is quiet and attractive, with walks from the door. Parking is 100 metres away at the entrance to the village. The cottage was a bit difficult to identify so it is a good idea to ring Fabienne on arrival. Although it is remote it is only half an hour on decent roads to a main route whence many attractions: castles, wineries, restaurants, villages, gorges etc etc. We had poor weather but could happily have stayed longer, and might like to return, perhaps a bit later in the spring. Excellent value for money! Thank you Fabienne.

Gîte tres agreable, belle décoration et vue imprenable !!! Tous les ingrédients sont là pour passer des belles vacances. La région est magnifique et il y a beaucoup de choses à découvrir. Fabienne , la propriétaire, est une personne vraiment très sympathique et à contribuer à que tout se passe bien. Merci à elle pour sa tres bonne humeur et tous les bons moments passés ensemble.

Merci pour les bons conseils et les petits coins de paradis que vous nous avez indiqués, pour votre bonne humeur et vos apéros qui nous ont permis de rencontrer des gens formidables. Un paysage magnifique et des balades inoubliables dans les montagnes. Des produits régionaux tellement bons.... Miellerie, chèvrerie, producteurs de légumes et fruits etc... Je conseille vivement cette location remplie de charme avec cette superbe vue

Pleine nature, cadre idyllique et enchanteur

Le gîte "Café Abadie" situé dans un cadre idyllique entre mer et montage, bénéficie d'une vue imprenable. L'endroit parfait pour se ressourcer dans le calme et la sérénité. Le temps était suspendu aux différentes balades et découvertes à faire dans les environs, des sorties "à la grande bleue", nous avons même pu pousser jusqu'au musée théâtre Dali à Figueras le temps d'une journée. L'hôte de ces lieux, Fabienne, conviviale et sympathique, nous a transmis la clé de petits coins secrets, pour des baignades à proximité, paradisiaques et enchantées. "L'apéro du jeudi soir" organisé par ses bons soins reste un moment de partage unique. Merci Fabienne pour avoir restauré un lieu où il est encore possible de flâner et rêver, tu contribues à donner de la vie à ce village perché, plus près de étoiles, bravo à toi et longue continuation à "Pyrénées Mon Amour".
