- Dear young gentleman, Thank you for post and I am concerned that much you have written is in fact incorrect and the only correct fact is you did in fact break a 160X200 plain wooden bed. This was the first time we had rented the house to a group of young men. The brown painted bed may not have been to your taste but it was certainly not an old bed. In addition, once you had broken the bed, we did not replace it with a cheap IKEA bed. To do so would not meet the high standard of the house. We are not sure where you have found your information to make such a claim that it was a cheap bed - or that it was from Ikea. In addition to the bed and due to the fact that we had a number of bookings after your stay, we had to urgently find replacements for four bed legs and a mattress cover in order to receive new guests. Please note that we did not charge you for the new legs or the mattress cover. We informed you on numerous occasions by email that the shop where the new bed would be bought had run out of stock and that they could not provide an update on their stock availability despite numerous phone calls made by myself. I sent you the information regarding the shop and the bed reference so that you could discuss the stock issue with your insurance company and in addition, so that you could direct them to the website. Please also note that the bed price has now risen to 1199€ and we have only withheld 1000€ of your deposit. Unfortunately, we were not in a position to place an order until last week and as a consequence I still have no invoice until delivery takes place in April 2023. I have always been precise and clear with my communications with you and I apologize about the fact that the process could not be quicker - due to stock availability. It is always our intention to provide a top quality experience for our guests at the house by providing a property which is in top condition which reflects the area where our guests stay. You will see by other posts prior to your stay that good memories have been made in the house and we take good care of our guests - the previous reviews reflect this!
