Great location.
This was perfect for our family of 4. Two kids (age 5 and 3) slept in the top bunks. Hubby and I shared the pull out couch. Pull out was not the most comfy to sleep on but for one night of ski in/ski our location it was great. Internet worked perfect. I would def stay here again.

Very convenient for hiking in girdwood. Location amazing. Parking is great. Extremely clean everything works. Great shower. Nice TV and wifi. Needs a microwave. In the morning upstairs waterpipes in wall are very noisy.

I like the easy check-in process. I didnt have to interact with anyone, lol. It's cozy and you still get the vibe that you are on vacation. My only problem is that it was a little hard to spot the building numbers.
Girdwood/Alyeska is beautiful. This location was in the middle of all the things we planned for the weekend. Slightly disappointed with the condo. None of the electrical outlets were secure and none of our chargers would stay plugged in to charge phones. Also wish there was a microwave.

The condo is about 14' x 15' including the restroom. There is a sump pump below the floor that turns on every four minutes runs for five seconds and then turns off, which was rather annoying. This is the first place I stayed that didn’t have a microwave. There was a nice collection of pans and dishesfor cooking on the electric stove though. The address was almost useless for finding the parking lot.

Tricky is you’re not young and agile.
Location good and clean, but the sleeping options were insane. There is a sleeping shelf that was made up with two pallets head to head. Have to crawl over pallet one to get to pallet two. About 2 feet of head room, not enough to sit up. There was a table that could be pulled into the room to eat on, but no chairs. Super awkward place.

Parking directions were bad. No steps.
Heater didn’t work properly.
Door lock locked me out in the cold. Reset.
Wasted too much time in poor setup

Various problems
This home has some serious issues. The heater did not work, there was no hot water, and the TV did not work. The first two issues are deal breakers in a winter resort in Alaska! We reported these issues right away, but they were not addressed promptly. Each person on the phone would promise they would fix right away, and then there was no follow-up. On the next call, they would tell us there was no ticket, or only a ticket with one of the issues! Extremely frustrating. It took more than two days and many phone calls for a maintenance person to finally bring in a temporary space heater and an extension cord to get the TV to work. We never got hot water and could not shower. In addition there is also a water leak in the bathroom.

Not to Shabby
It was our first time to Alaska. I personally like the idea that it was century located for what we where doing. Love the views. I could go on and on.
Pro’s:
1. Was very close to where I was running the trail race.
2. Restaurants were close. The Bake Shop is the best place to eat.
3. Mountain Bike rental from Powder Hound was walking distance, then biked to other areas.
4. The unit was sufficient for me. It is small. So more than 2 adults and 1 child maybe crowded. IMO.
Cons
1. The DSL wireless internet was horrible. Had to do some work along with having a phone using data and TV. Constantly had to reboot.
2. The window did not close all the way. Not a summer time problem but in winter would be an issue.
Positive comment: Found efficiency apartment as in the pictures and description and clean and in quiet, convenient area!
NEGATIVE comments: Broken window latch (not worth locking unit when person could easily slip in, and hole in screen for normal AK insects to enter), No Hairdryer, No mini microwave, and NO coffee pot.
For 150$+/Night, A “safe” unit necessary, a coffee pot, hairdryer and small microwave SHOULD be an expected standard. I would remove this rental immediately as option till these basic options remediated.
