La Casita is the perfect place to escape from the ordinary. This expertly built, white rock cabin is a private guest house to a spectacular estate high in the clouds, yet only 5 minutes to the Frio River. Plenty of parking in the circular driveway, you walk along an elevated pathway and immediately be taken in by the sheer beauty of the mountain range and the Frio River below your private covered deck. There's a BBQ grill and burner on the deck for making meals, or just sit on the comfy bar stools with a glass of wine and take in the dramatic views.

Once you enter La Casita, you immediately feel that your vacation has started. The kitchen, dining room and living room are one large, open concept room that spells like heaven from the cedar walls & ceiling. A thoughtful balance of light and coolness, the vaulted ceiling lets light stream in through a wall of view widows. The expansive skyline is reflected on the living room walls and rich, aged timber ceiling beams that frame the picture perfect views.

Your eyes will be drawn to the walls filled with ducks, deer, snow shoes and other outdoor nostalgia. Antique dining room table, cabinets and fully stocked kitchen. Hanging wall lanterns are next to the beds for added character. As night falls the outdoor lighting illuminates the walkway and deck to enjoy in the evening sunsets against the cliffs walls over the Frio River.

From the comfortable leather sofa, rustic decor and artistic touches throughout, everything is picture perfect. The quaint kitchen centers around the owners family heirloom stove that is fully functional. The custom made stove vent is from reclaimed barn wood, and the corner cabinet is well stocked. This is the place to open a bottle of wine, reconnect and start counting your blessings.

With 2 bedrooms decorated to capture maximum comfort and sophisticated charm, you will love sleeping in. Don't miss the bathrooms tile shower, cedar slab counter and plenty of small touches to invoke serenity and calm.

This is an excellent location for bird watching. Red-tailed Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, White-tailed Kite, Zone-tailed Hawk, Long-billed Thrasher, Northern Mockingbird, Northern Bobwhite, Wild Turkey, Purple House Finch,, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Hooded Oriole, Eastern Bluebird, Flycatcher, Black crested Titmouse.
