The Cabin: The unique asymmetrical A-frame structure is both unexpected and familiar, with its wood-clad walls, exposed beams, and large geometric windows. Originally built as a fishing cabin in the 1970s, it has been remodeled and expanded into the charming retreat you see today. The cabin's interior features two cozy bedrooms (one in the loft and one on the main floor), a spacious bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and a welcoming fireplace. Most of the furniture was custom-designed and built by our team specifically for this space, adding to the unique designed experience. Step out onto the back deck to enjoy expansive river views among towering ancient Hemlocks, dine at the large table outdoor table, or relax in the hot tub. Our cabin is designed to be a screen-free environment, allowing you to unplug and reconnect with nature and loved ones. For your entertainment, we’ve provided a record player with a hand-curated selection of vinyl, along with a variety of board games. The kitchen is fully stocked, encouraging you to prepare meals at the cabin as part of the full experience.
The Area:
Our cabin is just an hour's drive from Seattle and minutes from Granite Falls, WA. Known as the gateway to the Cascades, this area offers incredible hiking and stunning natural beauty. Popular nearby trails include Gothic Basin, Big Four Ice Caves, Mt. Pilchuck Fire Lookout, Lake Twenty-Two, and Heather Lake. Our cabins are part of a small, private community. While we encourage you to explore the nearby park and Cascade Loop Highway trails, please respect our neighbors' privacy by avoiding the private community roads. Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you allow dogs? Yes, we are dog-friendly! A maximum of 2 dogs per cabin is allowed, but other pets are not permitted. How many guests are included in the base price? The base price is for 2 guests, any additional guests are $50/night Can I check-in early or check-out late? Unfortunately, no. Our cabins are often booked back-to-back, and our cleaners need time to prepare the cabin for the next guests. There's no good waiting area, so please plan to arrive at check-in time. What's in the kitchen? The kitchen is stocked with essentials: stove, oven, pots, dishes, spices, and dry goods. Do you have a grill on the deck? Yes, there's a propane grill overlooking the river, and we supply the propane. What's the coffee situation? We provide Stamp Act coffee, an electric grinder, and a stainless steel French press. What's a good restaurant or bar nearby? We recommend spending as much time at the cabin and in nature as possible, so plan to bring food and drinks. Local favorites include Omega Pizza (takeout or dine-in), Eat Thai, and the Spar Tree (local bar).

An amazing cabin experience in a phenomenal location. Already looking to book it again in the future before it becomes super popular!

Lovely and Peaceful Stay
The cabin is smartly outfitted and very comfortable. We enjoyed building fires, cooking, and all of the great nearby hikes and trails. Close enough to the Seattle to be great for shorter much needed breaks from the city.

About the host
Hosted by Andy
Hello! We are Forest and Andy, two friends who operate a retail design shop in Seattle called Glasswing. When we are not working on design projects in the city, we are exploring in the surrounding mountains. We particularly love this part of the Cascade Mountains for its accessibility and diverse landscape.
Why they chose this property
One of the things that makes Seattle so great is not the city itself, but the close proximity to some of the most beautiful mountains in the world, as well as world-class hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, etc. We really wanted a home-base in the heart of the action so we had a place to come back to and wind down after an adventure filled day. The Canyon Creek Cabin ended up being the perfect place for us because of it's blend of rustic and modern.
What makes this property unique
There's no question that one of the most unique features of the cabin is the river out back. Once you see it in person you will fully understand its majesty.
