We love Reynolds and Lake Oconee. The house works well for our family, and the location and dockage is good for boating.
The owner has made it very convenient for check-in and out and is very responsive to any issues.
We had three families so the property gave sufficient separation for each yet plenty of togetherness area. Good boat dockage in a quiet cove. Be aware that activities are limited unless member of Renolds.
We had a great time. Kids really took advantage of downstairs game options during down time. Upgraded screened in porch furniture was a nice touch. We missed the large umbrella that used to be on the dock and kitchen was missing a few amenities - tin foil/Saran wrap/enough silverware for large family to have meal together… but we made do. Great stay and look forward to coming back at the end of the summer

Great house but had some issues
The house was nice - lots of room - the living room/bar area exceptional- great view. We did have some issues with one of the air conditioners - the drip pan under unit kept filing up and the air conditioner would stop. We had to empty out the pan about every 6-8 hours in order for it to work.
The kitchen was not well equipped - dishes & silverware fine - but serving & baking items scarce. The only soap in bathrooms was liquid hand soap - nothing for bathing - no bar soap or body wash. The game machines in the basement didn’t work. We did contact owner when we left and he was very willing to make accommodations for our inconvenience.

Ideal for any family or group! It's a great find and I can't wait to return!
I don’t normally write longer reviews, but our experience was so great I wanted to share more!
In my opinion, this house is excellent for larger groups. It’s clean, decorated in a contemporary style, and has plenty of space for everyone! My husband, kids and I; my brother and his wife and kids; and grandparents fit comfortably in this house. What I loved is that the communal areas were spacious and entertaining-friendly AND everyone had their own private spaces to retreat to.
One of my favorite parts of the house is the Grand Room. Guests can stay connected while not always needing to all come together as 1 group. The Grand Room has a kitchen and 4 conversational areas, including a bar! The bar is so nice and modern-looking with added bonuses of a wine refrigerator and ice-maker. The house has not 1 but 2 bars on the main level, which was a pleasant surprise. This 2nd bar is on the screened porch that overlooks the water with a vibe reminiscent of Margaritaville. A drawback if I had to conjure one was that there was an extra loft bedroom (#6) that we couldn't get to and the rooms were cool, dark, quiet, yet very comfortable at night.
My other favorite aspect of the house is the VIEW! It’s truly a multi-dimensional view as you can see the lake, the rolling hills of the beautifully manicured golf course, and the cove. The Grand Room has 2-story windows covering floor to ceiling to give a gorgeous view and lots of natural light.
We also had fun outside of the house, so don’t forget about these perks when you stay. The house has a private dock in the back yard so you can access the water right away. I suggest renting a pontoon boat. Nearby are a snack shack, a pavilion with picnic table set-up to seat up to ~60 people, and a large fire pit overlooking the water. There are also restaurants on and off property as well a movie theater and grocery store about 5 minutes away. This house and surrounding area have so much to offer…I highly recommend it and am returning with my family and for a girls trip this year!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Overall our group of 10 had a good stay at this house. The main living area was comfortable and great for games. I would say the house is adequate for a big group, but it looks nicer on the surface than it actually is - it could use some TLC. The location was great - convenient to Oconee Village (Publix), a couple of restaurants, and two boat rental places. The owners were very responsive and helpful prior to our stay. The listing is technically accurate, but does not really show you that the floorplan is quite convoluted downstairs - you have to go through the gameroom to get to the bedrooms. The master is directly off of the kitchen and has French doors, so light and sound come through easily. These are not dealbreakers, but are things I wish I knew before we booked. The biggest issue was that when we arrived the house was not cleaned to the standards I expect of a VRBO. There were food crumbs and dead bugs on the floor, the tablecloth was dirty, fixtures were grimy, the grill was unclean, and we had to wash many of the dishes before using them. The game room/garage area had a big hairball and lots of debris from the outside. The sheets on most of the beds were pilled and thus not very comfortable. If your main purpose is to enjoy the lake, this is a good option.
The home was just perfect for our family and friends. The large great room and open kitchen with many smaller bedrooms tucked away upstairs and in the basement were ideal for time together and individual spaces for everyone . The sunrises were lovely and light up the house in a glowing fashion. We had a fantastic chef, Jerome, who cooked elegant dinners every night! Fantastic for some rest and relaxation!
This was our second time to stay at this beautiful house and we had such a great time! The location is perfect as you are located in a cove off the lake with a view of the golf course. The house is very accommodating for a large family with plenty of room in the common area to be together while having your own space. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all our needs. Highly recommend!!
This property was absolutely perfect for our family and friends summer getaway/reunion. The house and property was kid friendly (we had 6 kids between our 2 families) but still felt luxurious for the adults that everyone had an amazing time. The private dock right off the backyard was sheltered enough from the main lake area that our kids were able to swim without us parents having to worry too much about passing boats. The house itself is very well maintained that Amy and Alonzo deserve every single star and then some. We will definitely be coming back for future vacations.
Beautiful location, convenient to the marina and golf course. Very large home with exceptional amenities. We really enjoyed having the home on a quiet cove! Landscaping was professionally done. We realize not every home is perfect. The freezer was only cooling and not freezing. It could not be repaired during our stay. The technician unplugged the refrigerator which caused other problems with our food and drinks. Also some of the sheets and pillow cases were badly stained and the glass shower door would not close. The owners were apologetic and responded very quickly to resolve the stained sheets. We would stay here again.
First things first...we really enjoyed our stay at this Lake Oconee waterfront home. Great location on the lake, very nice gated community and lots of beds for a big group. Our "but" though is related to cleanliness. In the era of COVID we just expected better. In fairness to the owner though, he was very responsive to our concerns and it appears as though he took them seriously, so hopefully this won't be an issue in the future. I would def give this location another shot though, in the hopes that the cleanliness issues were resolved.
Location, and view from great room is fantastic. Property is located in the landings which is very convenient to local restaurants. Rented a boat and docked it on the private dock which was very convenient. Wish we would’ve had the option to play golf, but because of Covid this was not possible. We will definitely be back
The name says a lot. The house was perfect for our group. Bedrooms were spaced so everyone had privacy Living areas were well equipped and inviting to socialize in. The game room was a hit with the kids (of all ages). Neighbors were friendly. We all had a great time!!
I would highly recommend this property. The location is perfect for some quiet time on the lake. The house was great for two families as we had plenty of room. The attic room (two twin beds) could probably only be used in cooler temps as there is no a/c up there though. The view is fantastic from the great room and we loved the bar in the living room. Upon arrival, the house was not as clean as it should be and the owner acted promptly and had the cleaning staff there to be make it right very quickly. Alonzo was very accommodating and made sure the rest of our stay was great . The kids had a great time and enjoyed jumping off the dock.. but it can be shallow in areas, so be sure to check it out first before having the kids dive in. The location is good as it is at the end of a cove where few boats are coming in and out of. It's a short distance to the boat rental place and Publix. It's a bit far from the Ritz by boat,. But we really enjoyed docking at the house and then tubing all day . The game room was fun for the kids and adults as well. It's a unique house in regards to the layout but was perfect for our two families to kick back and relax at the lake. We will definitely be back.

Why they chose this property
We love lake Oconee, it brings joy and relaxation to our family!
What makes this property unique
We could sit in the living room or at the bar and look over the lake and the golf course almost all day and go into a relaxing trance. It is also close to the "town center" with Publix, CVS, bistros, wine stores, restaurants, movie theaters, jet ski or pontoon rentals and so much more! It is the perfect relaxing retreat that is also close to so much. Truly, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me!
