We had a great week staying at this Suttons Bay cottage on the water. We had everything we needed, and the house stayed nice and cool on the days we needed to use the central air. The views from the back deck were beautiful, we enjoyed looking out at the water in the morning with our coffee and at sunset with our wine : ) Wi-Fi was fast, Smart TVs were easy to use. The location was great, very close to downtown Suttons Bay and only about 15 minutes to Traverse City, and the neighbors were quiet. The property was very peaceful. We had six people plus a dog, and there was room for everyone - definitely a bonus having several living areas and a good-sized yard. The shoreline is rocky, but we just used water shoes and having the dock there to pull a pontoon boat up to was perfect. The host Tonie was wonderful, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us, and was extra helpful when I accidentally had an Amazon order delivered there after our stay. Would love to stay here again.
The house has a perfect location on the lake and is so close to great restaurants, shopping and an excellent bakery. The home was very nice and the beds were comfortable. There is plenty of room to relax in the evening inside or enjoy a cocktail on the spacious deck.
Very nice property for a family to enjoy the day as well as a pet. Great vew of the bay to watch the sun go down nice quite road. A d just min from town of Sutton bay with all you need
We rented the property for a long weekend and had a great time. We ended up sitting on the dock and back deck one entire afternoon just enjoying the view with some wine, it was amazing.
We used this location for our launching point for a long weekend in northern michigan. The backyard is right on the Bay and had a nice dock the kids used to swim.
The view was amazing sunsets amazing weather amazing location amazing, the host gave amazing recommendations and she was very accommodating!!! Great for family or romantic get away. I would recommend, and I will be back!!
Perfect Family Getaway: Cozy, Comfortable, and Kid-Friendly!
We stayed for 2 nights as two families with babies and toddlers. The house is perfect for kids—comfortable, cozy, and filled with toys. The outside area is safe and lovely. The host was super kind and easy to contact. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend it for families!
Easy check in and the most beautiful clear blue water you can imagine
Very easy , no-touch/no-fuss check in. The cottage is small but very charming and thoughtfully updated. The view and the water is spectacular! Crystal clear, cold, clean water perfect for open water swimmers or kayakers.
Loved this home. Floor plan and flow was great for our group with different interest. We were close enough for day trips to explore the area. At home to unwind on a deck to watch the sunset on the bay, and the reflection of the moon on the water.
Our stay was enjoyable! Tonie welcomed us with a phone call and was very attentive to our needs and was always willing to answer questions. The cottage was perfect and the views were great. We traveled with our three dogs and so happy that Tonie welcomed them as well. It wouldn’t have been a good trip if we had to leave our dogs home. Definitely will come back if we road-trip again in the future!
The house is just as described. It had everything that we needed and was nicely decorated. The highlight was being so close to the water. The big deck made is easy to enjoy the view. Suttons Bay is chilly in June but so beautiful to look at. It was also a perfect location for shopping, sightseeing and going to restaurants. One day we walked into town and that was great (less than 2 miles). There is a door on the downstairs bathroom, so don't worry about that. The owner is quick to respond to all questions and concerns.
We enjoyed the comfortable cottage with a lovely view of the lake. Loved the deck access to the lake and enjoyed watching the sunset while having a campfire in the fire pit. Tonie was responsive and helpful with local resources. The location is very quiet at night and convenient to all Leelanau destinations. Renters should be aware that one queen bedroom is in the walkout basement with low ceilings.
