This is a terrific property for enjoying a Big Bend vacation. It met all our needs and the location was terrific. We were well pleased with our stay and really enjoyed the west Texas, Big Bend vibe. I would stay there again. The hosts provided detailed information making our stay an easy stay.
This house was an oasis after the Big Bend Utra race. The house has a wonderful outdoor patio that overlooks the Terlingua river. The house has everything one would need and is in a convenient location to the Ghost Town. Definitely recommend a stay with Big Bend Vacation rentals.
Great spot and location. Loved the house it was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. I have stayed at a number of places around in the Terlingua area and this was by the far the cleanest and most convenient location to the parks and the Ghost town.
Daryl & Janet were very welcoming. The house was clean and comfortable and stocked with everything we needed... even games for us to play in the evening! The patio had a beautiful vista... overlooking Terlingua Creek. It was a great spot to dine out, star gaze and roast marshmallows. Our adult family of 4 had plenty of room. We loved our stay & highly recommend the Terlingua Creek Porch House!
Clean, comfortable and very close to big bend NP. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the creek house. The home sits immediately next to terlingua creek, which makes for pleasant scenery. Some of the buildings/businesses nearby are a little rundown but the immediate view from the porch is lovely. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen accommodated our needs. We would have liked to see a larger selection of cookware - in particular we were needing a cutting board which was not present - but that was only a minor inconvenience. Overall the location so close to Big Bend and the huge comfortable porch make for a combination that’s hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back next year.

The accommodations are close to Big Bend and all of the restaurants in Terlingua but the home itself needs a little fixing. There are neighbors in a trailer really close by that left their bright porch light on which ruined our sky watch one night. The home was clean. I wish I would have received my directions for the property sooner. We got our directions the day of our rental and I had no way of printing them as we were traveling. It was hard to read from my phone.
Property worked great for 3 adults. Location was great and property had everything we needed. Appreciated the prior arrival instructions as Terilingua groceries and gas options are very limited.
Rustic but very comfortable in a rustic area. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners were cold, and the house was clean and well stocked. The bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Checking in and entering the house was very easy. Check out was as easy as a text saying we were gone. The town is very rustic and real close to Terlingua Ghost town, and Lajitas. And very close to the Big Bend National Park West Entrance.
Very peaceful location. The porch is amazing with beautiful sunsets and a great fire pit. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, even more so now since I forgot my favorite spatulas. Ha! Will definitely stay again.

Terlingua Creek Porch House
Excellent location - convenient to Big Bend & Terlingua. Access via a nursery and "retired vehicle" storage lot - however very quiet. Very comfortable beds, lots of towels, large covered patio for enjoying evenings. Hosts were responsive to questions and provided for easy checkin/checkout process.
Perfect location for all the trails we did. You don’t need to bring anything with you. Kitchen has everything you would ever need. Even though it was hot in the evening we still built our camp fire.
The Creek house was exactly as listed. The porch alone is worth the stay with great views of Terlingua Creek. We enjoyed evenings with the fire pit and sky views. Exactly what we need in the desert, nothing fancy but comfortable and easy access to BBNP.
This was a good place for us to stay and I’d stay there again given the same circumstances. There are some rough edges and differed maintenance that would be good to do but if you are ok with a place that isn’t perfect then feel comfortable booking.
Loved the location of the house. It was just a couple of miles from the Terlingua Ghost Town (where there are several great places to eat) and the businesses that provide Big Bend tours. Also just a few miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park.
