Bad Neighborhood

Place was cute but really bad neighborhood!!! All Uber’s and taxis where nice enough to wait till we were in a safe.. there should be a warning that it’s in the hood.

Hey Joanna, thank you for your detailed feedback. We can certainly understand everyone has their own perspectives and sensitivities to new experiences. We are sorry your introduction to Marathon Village was not a positive one for you. While we have not witnessed what you described seeing, we are sorry you did and understand that some folks may feel nervous or uncomfortable by the diversity that comes with an area that is still gentrifying. We are just around the corner of the heart of Marathon Village: By way of some background Marathon Village, a unique neighborhood of sorts that has become quite a Nashville hotspot and is mere minutes from Downtown Nashville, Hillsboro Village, Belmont, Vanderbilt, and 12-South. Some of Nashville's best whiskey and spirit makers call Marathon Village home as do a number of shops — with more than 45 tenants representing fine, commercial, and performing arts — and one of the nation’s oldest historic African American universities.

2nd Worst VRBO I've rented

The property is located in an unsafe neighborhood, with nightly drag racing and section 8 housing across the street. The unit is in need of serious repair. The vanity has come loose from the wall, the fixtures in the bathroom are rusted and moldy and the walls have poor repairs done to them and peeling paint. The beds were comfortable. The walls are thin. The kitchen is decently appointed. The wifi code was inaccurate, but we were able to figure that out. Oddly the only thing the property manager was concerned with was us getting on wifi, vs the damage to the property. I will never rent from Abode again.
