A cozy light filled A -frame cabin nestled in the woods and in the heart of Stowe's Lower Village. This newly renovated three bedroom, two bathroom property has been modernized with brand new appliances, colorful rugs and a spiral staircase leading up to a private bedroom. A second bedroom is on the main floor with a nearby bathroom, while the third bedroom is on the lower level. The wrap around deck has a gas grill for barbecues for a small group. This makes a perfect getaway for anyone wanting the quintessential Vermont experience. The lower level's open floor plan lets everyone enjoy the vacation together while the private bedrooms make you feel right at home. Large windows let in the light and give you a peek at Stowe's scenery, entreating you to head outside and experience it in person. For winter sports enthusiasts, the closest Mountain Road shuttle stop is only 0.3 miles from the door.
Please note that this property has only spiral staircases that are narrow and steep. Guests with pets, young children, or those with mobility concerns may find a better match among our other rentals.
All pets must be pre-approved during the booking process. An additional pet fee and addendum is required.

Cute place — nice interior design and location close to everything in Stowe. Very pretty deck area. We loved having our dog there. The spiral staircase was really narrow and felt risky with socks… trying to carry laundry downstairs without a basket felt especially treacherous! We basically avoided going up or downstairs during our stay, so the place felt smaller than it was. Would have been nice so have some basics stocked, like laundry detergent and cooking spray.

Cute cabin, great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this modern cabin. The location is great, so close to Stowe and great restaurants, hiking trails, shops... As many people have mentioned, the spiral staircase is a little tight so you have to be careful and it services both the upstairs bedroom with the King bed and the downstairs bedroom with the Queen bed. The living area is well designed and comfortable and the sun shines through the windows in the afternoon. The pellet stove is also a nice addition and the kitchen is functional and well equipped. On the downside, the home is in need of an interior coat of paint. The bathrooms could use a refresh. The home sleeps 6 people comfortably but there is only a 2/3 person couch so we were somewhat disappointed with the lack of comfortable seating in the main living area. And finally the home had a strong musty smell. We had to buy candles and sprays to get rid of it and unfortunately we had to wash most of our clothes as they came back smelling musty as well. Despite all the cons, we would stay there again.

Accuracy and cleaningness of the house

When we got into the house the house did not feel clean. Trash from previous renters have not been picked up on the side area. TV and playstation was not working. No vacuum cleaner to vacuum the house, one little broken dustpen. very dirty, torn up rugs, very little furniture, one small couch definitely not enough for a family of 5. Floor vent in the middle of the dining room not flushed with the floor and extremely dirty filled with dust, totally uninviting. Very dirty walls with stains on it, dirty bathrooms with stained wallsOnly one wooden cutting board, glasses are standing on the top of a filthy and dusty shelf, broken dining room chair with one screw; loose kitchen fosit. Shower was gross too, no shower pressure on the main level, super cheap run down ikea furniture everywhere. Whole house needs a face lift.

The rental was neat and clean. We did stay for an entire week and wished we had a TV in the living area so we could watch a movie together. The cooking utensils could use a little update- but overall it was great!! We loved the fireplace and the location was perfect for us.

If I could design a mountain cabin, this would be it

We absolutely loved this property - me and my husband wanted a 'getaway' vacation, and Sylvan Park provided just that. We did a lot of grilling out on the deck, and doing puzzles in the living room in front of the fireplace. Very comfortable king bed upstairs. So much greenery all around us, and our favorite 'hike' was the 30m walk to downtown Stowe. But my FAVORITE part was the interior design/decor - props to the designer! Modern and colorful yet still gave the vibes of mountain cabin. Love the yellow door, mint green armchair, sputnik light fixture, and all of the little details that made it feel like it was expertly designed :)

Short stay in Stowe

Great location, house looks just like the pictures. The beds are very comfortable. There is a spiral staircase which is very narrow. This is the third house I’ve rented with a spiral staircase this one is the tightest. Not for elderly or children. The bedroom at the top of the staircase has a king bed. This room does not have anywhere to put your belongings. We lived out of our suitcases from the floor. The bedroom on the main floor had an area you could hang a few things up. The house is fully IKEA furnished and it’s a tad tired. We had a great time in Stowe. Biked the Burlington bike path, hiked Sterling pond trail in Smugglers Notch. Last day we played tennis at Stowe High School.

Perfect escape

We had a great time at the A frame cabin! It was dog friendly and wonderfully appointed. Comfortable, lots of natural light, true to the pics on VRBO. Spiral staircase a little narrow, but we managed.

Stowe get-away

Good location near Stowe main street. The house is clean with some architectural interest but the winding stairs are very steep and the king bed is in the upstairs loft but bathrooms are on first level and basement. Overall we liked the place and had a good time while there.

Great location

We had a great stay in Stowe. The house is located near the downtown area and outdoor activities. It is in a quiet neighborhood with freindly neighbors. It is an adorable, clean home with all the necessities to prepare meals and feel at home. The spiral staircase is tight and we had to be careful on them, as was described in the write up. I would just caution a family with younger kids. The baby gates kept our dog away from them and it was great to have them provided! We had a wonderful stay!!
