The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. It was pet friendly with enough yard to walk the dog. The cottage was conveniently close to town and not a bad drive to the ski slope. I would stay again.
Jill is an excellent host, great communication and the cottage was perfectly stocked with everything you would need and more. Being just up the hill from Stowe Village is perfect.
This is my second time staying at this beautiful cabin and it's just as I remember it- cozy, inviting, and peaceful; it's everything you could want for a convenient base just outside of Stowe.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
The listing says the cabin is conveniently located near town and that’s it’s not secluded in the woods. This is true but the wording was cleverly phrased to not mention the fact that it’s directly on a main road, which feels misleading. There is room for improvement as far as cleanliness goes and I’d be happy to provide more information if desired. Nonetheless the cabin was unique in its decor, had stainless steel cookware and the wood burning stove was set up nicely to enjoy. All of these factors made it cozy and that was appreciated. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and made nice memories. Thank you!
We had the best return to Goldilocks this Thanksgiving. The cottage is uber charming and comfortable with everything you might need. The kitchen was stocked, as was wood for the woodburning stove. The location cant be beat, it's just a great cozy spot to relax.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The wood stove made it extra cozy at night, and the location was perfect—close to town, but still quiet and peaceful. The host’s communication was fantastic and made everything easy from check-in to checkout. We also really appreciated that it’s pet-friendly! Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing mountain retreat.
We had an amazing stay at the Goldilocks Cabin. It’s beautifully decorated, with so many sweet and thoughtful details that truly make you feel like you’re on a movie set. The cabin is just a couple of minutes from downtown, where all the charming shops and restaurants are located. We felt very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our kids absolutely loved the loft area —it felt magical to them! The owners are incredibly kind and even allowed us to bring our dog at the very last minute, no questions asked. We highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to stay in Stowe.

Glad you had fun, and hope your pup is doing well.
Best,

The decor, lovely antiques & hidden treasures throughout & all necessities thoughtfully provided for a cozy & carefree stay were greatly appreciated especially since the weather was cold & rainy - so it was pleasant to stay indoors. We have already shared Goldilocks Cottage info with many friends. Thank you -
Goldilocks Cottage was a relaxing cabin for our week in Stowe. The cottage was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the grounds were well kept. The location was great for the activities we planned, and it was comfortable to cook and eat at home in the evening. There was a quiet 2mile loop to walk each morning.
The Goldilocks' Cottage is one of the nicest, and cleanest, places that we have stayed at in Stowe. We loved the hominess of it, the eccentric decor AND, the deer grazing just off the lawn one morning while we enjoyed our coffee on the back deck. A true treasure.
The Goldilocks Cottage is more than just right--this cozy and beautifully decorated cabin gave us the getaway we'd been hoping for. Thoughtfully designed, the cottage provided a warm, inviting place to hang out between our winter adventures.

About the host
Hosted by Jill
I am an interior designer who realized I could use my particular talents to create the type of vacation rental that I myself am always looking for. In this commoditized world of professionally managed properties it has become difficult to find the personalized and the unique. Goldilocks Cabin is the antidote to this predictability.
I am married to a tug boat captain, and we live on Nantucket island with our cat, Charlie, and three chickens.
Why they chose this property
Goldilocks Cabin was originally the ski cabin of the principal designer at the interior design firm where I was then employed. Together we had great fun decorating the cabin on buying trips to New York, the Paris Flea Market, and at our favorite Vermont antique stores. When my boss decided to buy a bigger house, I jumped at the chance to make Goldilocks Cabin my own.
