Romantic Retreat- Luxury Algoma Lakehouse, 310ft of private shore, Fire pit!

Two Person Tub! Enjoy the sights & sounds of Lake Michigan with it's beautiful sunrise (or moonrise!) on over 320 feet of private shoreline on over one private acre, with the lakeshore only 75 feet accessible from the yard! Listen to the waves as you drift off to sleep with patio doors off the master bedroom! The house design comes from a fire lookout tower containing windows all around the top level for 360 degree viewing. Every level has its own bedroom and bathroom. The tower has a large great room with vaulted ceilings, 2 couch sectionals/ a perfect hangout for entertaining with a wetbar and mini fridge that overlooks the lake, with a gas fireplace, a two person soaking tub, exterior walk around catwalk and a bedroom equipped with two full size beds. The main level has a kitchen, custom live-edge dining table for 7, gas fireplace, bath with full glass shower enclosure with view of the lake from the bathroom, and a bedroom with a queen bed, deck with table and umbrella and gas grill. The lower level has the master suite/Queen with two patio doors opening to a private deck with another table, overlooking the lake and its own private bathroom and TV /office/reading area. Enjoy the views from 3 different decks on various levels overlooking the lake. Just 12 miles to Door County shopping and restaurants, plus shops, restaurants, sandy Crescent Beach, Boardwalk, & all the history of nearby Algoma with Wineries, Breweries, the Anahpee Bike Trail, Kayak and paddle board rentals, Golf, and world class fishing charters.Lounge chairs provide a great lakeside retreat, on 3 decks connected to the home. Fire pit and chairs steps from the lake. Note: Security cameras located on property exterior front and back decks. If you're staying to see a Green Bay Packer Game, you can take the Kewaunee County Chamber of Commerce Packer Shuttle to/from the game for $30. Check their website for availability.

Beautiful, private property. We enjoyed it thoroughly with our two small children. The house has room for everyone, and upstairs is a great "kids area" with toys, games, TV and a room with a couple beds. We had a blast on the shore of the lake, wading and playing with rocks. The property is so quiet and private that I could have coffee on the shore and not see another soul.

Beautiful views. Comfortable bed. Provided plenty of towels, washcloths, beach towels. Host was wonderful, excellent communication and very helpful recommendations. The only downside was the challenging climb to the water. Some of our family had more difficulty navigating the climb up and down.

Memorial day weekend

Excellent location! The lakehouse had plenty of space for the 6 of us. They had everything we needed & then some. If you're looking rocks, this is the place to be! Access to the beach was a little tricky to navigate but once you get there you won't want to leave! Seeing a flock of pelicans was definitely an unexpected surprise! We'd love to visit again some time in the future!

Wish we lived here!

Fantastic property, private lakefront - our stay was so rejuvenating! The views were magnificent. We loved having a fire near the beach every night, looking at the stars, and listening to the waves! Algoma is a charming little town and close to all the things in Door County! Highly recommend!

LOVELY lakeside getaway

This property was fantastic and the host was wonderful to work with. Couldn't be happier with our girls weekend getaway. The thoughtful details throughout the house and property were amazing. We were treated to spectacular sun and moon rises and enjoyed every second - games overlooking the lake, a relaxing tub, cozy fireplaces, full kitchen, great views, comfy beds, comfy hammocks, SUPER CLEAN! Highly recommend.

Great Lake House on Door Penninsula

Long weekend away from the city

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The property is really private and the wide variety of decks were fun to explore and take in the lake views. Heads up that there isn't any wifi or cable but that isn't really an issue given the view. Algoma is a great little town with enough to keep you busy for a long weekend.

Thanks for staying with us, we are glad you enjoyed the stay! Cell phone WiFi was faster than any provider available at this location, so we elected not to get WiFi for the property. Even though the reception is good enough to stream video through our cell phones, we welcome the chance to tell the kids “no WiFi!” and instead enjoy the views of the lake, board games, as well as rock hunting on the shore. Glad you enjoyed the “unplugged” time as well, and thanks for the review!

Super cute cottage on the lake. Views are incredible! Very clean, well maintained. Wish the weather had cooperated as lots of nice outdoor areas. Minutes from The Grain Loft wedding venue.

Fantastic Solo Retreat

I was looking for a lakeside house for a long weekend of rest and relaxation to get away from the busyness of work/life, and this property provided exactly that! Algoma is one of my family's favorite vacation spots, and I loved being close in proximity while being able to enjoy the quiet and the night sky offered by being just outside of town. The property is clearly well-maintained with a very comfortable home-away-from-home feel. The lakeside location was priceless between relaxing on the beach, watching wildlife activity (including a bald eagle!), viewing sunrises over the lake (I say as someone who's generally not a morning person), and listening the continual sound of waves on the shore. It was truly one of my best vacation experiences, and I hope to return sometime!

Our family of 5 adults thoroughly enjoyed the scenic lake view and spacious home. We explored the shoreline just steps away and short drive to local communities. We are a family from the Milwaukee area with young kids, we are excited to share with you our most favorite place to make family memories.

Why they chose this property

Most houses on the Lake MI shore at this part of the Wisconsin peninsula have steep / no access to the water, but our home is unique--the flat plateau type lawn is about 10 feet above the lake, making this a perfect place to enjoy the cool lake breeze with kids and family while enjoying a campfire, having a picnic or just lounging. In 2020 we installed a limestone rock wall to save our lower yard from rising lake levels. It's made the retreat even more. beautiful as now the waves lap against the shore rock and lull us to sleep every night!

What makes this property unique

Unobstructed views of Lake Michigan from 4 decks. Morning coffee while watching the eagles, pelicans, and seagulls fish on the lake. Nighttime campfires on the lower lawn. Waking to the sound of the lake waves, birds, and ships tooting their horns in the distance.
