Kelley's Cove - Family Home

Kelley’s Cove has been a cherished family home for many years, filled with wonderful memories. Conveniently located between the ferry and town, it offers beautiful water views, abundant wildlife, a grassy yard, and easy access to the water.

Located near the beginning of Fairbank Point, Kelley’s Cove faces southeast, providing beautiful views of the morning sunrise across the water. The home is located on a dug-in cove that provides well-protected water access with a dock. It is an ideal setting for boating, canoeing, kayaking, and casual fishing. The cove is about four feet deep with a soft mucky bottom.

The Kelley homestead was originally built in 1951 and has since undergone several additions and renovations. As was typical of homes built in the 50’s, it was common for bedrooms to be smaller and not have built in closets. There are 3 bedrooms with beds, nightstands, and an open wardrobe for clothes. There is one bathroom and a half bath setup in the laundry room. The living room has lovely front yard water view with door access to the front deck. The kitchen and pantry are equipped with the amenities you would expect for a comfortable stay. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also provided. Towels and linens are included, as is Wi-Fi internet suitable for streaming.

The front deck includes a grill, table, and chairs - perfect for enjoying the view and outdoor meals. The dock offers one boat slip for guests, while the second slip is reserved for the caretaker’s boat. The front yard features a fire pit with log-style seating, and enough firewood for a campfire. Wildlife is abundant in the area. Guests often see two families of ducks raising their young in the cove, along with deer, sandhill cranes, and other wildlife in and around the lake. Please note that the private drive visible outside the kitchen window may occasionally be used by people who do not realize it is private.

The Cleaning Fee, Michigan Tax and (online) Service Fee are clearly displayed during booking. No Pets unless discussed and owner approves them with a $50 pet fee. No Smoking.
