This home is very eclectic, artistic and colorful. I am a travel, booze and music fanatic. I want to provide a great space for bands, families and groups of friends to thoroughly enjoy on their journeys outside of their own homes. I will personally arrange a vinyl record wall for each group of guests. You will also receive Suzy B Blonde Ale that happens to share my name and likeness and is pretty tasty. You can enjoy your drinks and eats in my David Bowie themed kitchen. There are 2 lengthy bar tops in the kitchen/dining room area and additional seating outside so plenty of entertaining space. There is a 65” QLED TV in the living room long with the record player. There is a spa tub upstairs and a deep tub downstairs for those who enjoy soaking.

Vollintine-Evergreen, a neighbourhood in Memphis, is home to this holiday home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Mississippi River and popular attractions include Memphis Zoo and Graceland. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid or FedExForum.
The house is nice (other than the fact that no one has cleaned under the couch in a long time), but the owner is nasty, belligerent, and filed a false claim against the damage insurance company saying that we had damaged a table. I'd recommend that you stay somewhere else.

Dan is the first guest I had to withhold the security deposit from. He thought it was nasty of me to suggest that they not leave food garbage in my yard around the trash can, on my counters ( they offered 3 day old food to me and my dogs) and in my refrigerator and an entire sink of their dishes for me to clean. I finally made a comment when I saw the mess outside as I would never leave a mess like this for another host. They talked to me like I was beneath them and showed me absolutely no respect as a home owner. I had to explain to them that there was a check out time because they intended to leave in the evening on their check out day and then allowed them to leave a few bags - they left 15 - while I waited hours for them to return. They also did break a table in the back deck - the broken piece was sitting right next to the table so they probably didn't notice as they have no concern for others things. There were 3 dog toys under the couch which after seeing the mess they left I'm surprised it bothered them at all. They were bad guests and now clearly vindictive people as this is clearly a retaliatory review - I thought leaving my house a mess to include wash cloths thrown in my backyard was enough damage for them to do. I see they opted to do a bit more instead of taking ownership for their actions - my guess is they have a cleaning person and they don't treat them very well either. I do not recommend anyone in his group and I'm sorry I allowed them in my home and neighborhood.

Property was ok but the boarded up homes in the area made us nervous. Some of the blinds in the bedrooms were not working and some of the windows and the patio door had no coverings at all which made us uncomfortable. The property owner was easy to communicate with via messaging. She gave many suggestions of places to go eat and places to see. We used Uber to get around and her description of distances to places was very accurate. The music wall is interesting even though we didn’t utilize it. As for our recommendations: all windows and doors should have working blinds that close completely, there should be a check out list so that guests know exactly what they are expected to do before they leave and for the owner herself, try not to be defensive when asked questions. We didn’t mean any disrespect we were just trying to understand our surroundings. One last thought, this home is lived in by the owner, that is not good or bad, just think it is something that people should know.

These ladies were an odd group. Not one of them smiled the whole time I was showing them around my very bright, colorful and unique home. They asked multiple times about the number of hair dryers and as you can see from their review were more interested in hiding from my beautiful neighborhood then seeing the beauty in it. I didn't install gorgeous french doors to cover them with blinds or to block the view of my beautiful backyard which is full of flowers and a massive garden. Also, I did take great offense to several comments the ladies made - One of them asked me 4 times who lived in the place. I was having a hard time believing people could be so rude to either not listen to my response or not believe it. The fourth time I repeated loudly that I owned it, had done the renovations personally and also lived there. It was also in poor taste to disparage a neighborhood they judged in the first 30 seconds, do not live in and are only visiting. I would like to invite these ladies to revisit their manners and remember as a responsible traveler they are just as responsible to be agreeable to people/places you travel to as you expect those people/places to be to you. Do not recommend this group.
