Bella Vue is a beautiful, newly decorated, three-story, 3-bedroom/3 1/2-bath beach house with close to 2,400 square feet of living space and a convenient one-car garage.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room with an electric fireplace, dining room, and fully appointed kitchen with an eat-in breakfast area, refrigerator with ice maker, Regular coffee pot, Keurig, microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. In addition to the main living areas downstairs, there is a large private master suite, plus an additional half bath in the foyer and a spacious screened porch that faces the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge.

On the second floor, you’ll discover two additional guest bedrooms, with two full baths, and a second-floor balcony. Other features include 9 and 10-foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and lots of storage areas. There is also a finished crow's nest that could be used as a fourth bedroom.

The only complaint would be that the golf cart didn't have lights to drive to the beach in the evenings.

It had plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 grandchildren. The location near the indor-outdoor pool was excellent. The littles really enjoyed all the sand in the backyard. We definitely will be back to hopefully this house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My only comment is about the starter supplies offered in the unit. One (1) trash bag in the kitchen is very light. There also wasn't any liquid dish soap or liquid hand soap in the kitchen. There is no need to run the dishwasher if there are a few cups that need washing. There are enough dishes and serving dishes for an army a few extra supplies would be great. Other than that the house was great. Plenty of space and was clean and tidy.

The ice maker was still broken and has been since last October looking at reviews and the gas grill was out of propane. These are items that should not be an issue with the amount of money being charged for these rentals. I am a retired police officer and I understand the need for security, but the gate security and the rental group need to get on the same page with rules. We were told one thing when we checked in and security was operating on another set of rules to the point they were harassing several vacationer's in the complex over silly things.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Bella Vue was fantastic! The house was clean and well-maintained. It obviously had been updated recently. Best washer and dryer I have seen at the beach. The decor was beautiful.The house is well-stocked. We enjoyed the bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrella and kite. There were plenty of sand toys,too. The comfortable screened porch across the back of the house provided a wonderful coffee and breakfast spot every morning. The decks on the front provided quiet reading space for some. We also enjoyed the private sandy back yard for a few games of bocce and laser tag. Although Hurricane Michael threatened to put a damper on the week, we were lucky and did not experience it's wrath. I highly recommend this property and hope that we can stay here again.

This house is in a great location which is just across from the middle pool. It is only a short walk to the front pool and the beach. The house itself was great, very clean with nice decor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all items need to cook and dine at the house. There is also a nice gas grill that we used on two occasions. The back of the house has a nice screened in porch with a sand area outside where the kids can play. This is a very roomy house which easily accommodated our group of six adults and two children. The crows nest does have a bunk bed that has a full size on bottom and twin on top. This is not pictured on the website but it is a nice spot for the kids. Loved this house and plan to visit it again.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoy the Martinique overall, and particularly Bella Vue, where we have stayed each summer for several consecutive years. Martinique continues to have issues with the beach-umbrella-and-chair rental operator and the use of tents by other guests on the beach. This is the principal reason I would not give it a highest review. There is zero enforcement of the signage telling day-beachers not to set up tents and umbrellas "to the left of the boardwalk", which puts them directly in front of the rental chairs and umbrellas, between them and the beach. These guests have so little common courtesy that it is pointless to talk to them guest-to-guest. Suncoast, the rental chair and umbrella provider, is doing a very poor job. Their employees have become increasingly erratic and surly and do not know the meaning of the term "customer service." I refuse to rent from them anymore, and this will be a deciding factor if I take my business elsewhere - we are considering other options for next year. If we do come back, it will be because I have decided to purchase my own tent and chairs, which I intend to set squarely in front of Suncoasts' line of chairs, between them and the beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th stay in BellaVue at Martinique and at least 3 other houses. We had issues with the refrigerator ice maker and upper floor AC which we reported our second day there. Maintenance came the next day and replaced the dirty a/c filters and reported that a/c and refrigerator repair companies had been called. They came and fixed both things other than we only had crushed ice, not cubes. We also found the house was not very clean with dishes and pans containing food residue and food and items on the floor under furniture and in corners. I went to the office 2 days before check out to reserve this house for next year as I had done every previous year at Martinique. I was told the rent would be 30% more than this year and I would need to give them half as a deposit. Then on our last morning as we went to the beach to take family photos we parked our golf cart in an area that did not say “no golf carts” and received a $250 ticket with no warning issued first. I went to the office and was told there was nothing they could do about the ticket.After that, we decided that this would be our last visit to Martinique since there are many other choices of places to stay.

Family Getaway

It’s very difficult to make a decision on a place to stay, because sometimes you never know what it really looks like until you get there. Cleanliness is priority and that it was. The comfort from furniture to bedding is 5 star in my opinion. Bella Vue is absolutely beautifully decorated throughout, including beautiful inspirations of art. Love the Bible scriptures especially. Throughly enjoyed the kitchen with all the pretty dishes. Writing this is making me want to go back! If I may suggest a couple of things it would be to replace a few of the cookware, meaning the pans to scramble eggs for example. The ones we had to choose from, coated with the black coating, were badly scratched up. Also the ice maker was not working. We had our bagged ice so not a big deal. Really that’s it. Oh, the patio furniture is great! The chair pads were badly soiled though so we just removed them. Comfortable seating without the pads. Back yard was roomy with sand to play games with the grandchildren. The second floor is very nice. We especially enjoying sitting on the second floor in the morning out of the sun loving the view and the breeze. Golf cart and all the goodies to choose from in the garage for fun on the beach is a plus! Thanks to the Johnson’s for the opportunity to stay in your lovely Bella Vue. PS our grandson knocked over the vase in the breakfast area and it chipped. Our apologies. Please let us know how much to replace. Sorry for the late review— life sped up when we left Bella Vue! Bye and shalom (peace). Hope to visit again.

It's spacious, with sand in the back to enjoy yourself cooking out or letting the kids build sand castles. A golf cart to ride around in the evening and a heated swimming pool for the family to get out to in the evening. Overall just a clean, fun , and beautiful place to enjoy a family vacation.
