We restored this 17th century apartement in an extremely luxurious and comfortable manner. Each bedroom has their private ensuite. Contemporary comfort

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable. Decor was outstanding and very charming. Location was perfect for us/ in the midd of the town and everything in walking distance. Car parking can be a little difficult but manageable. Great spot to stay to explore the beautiful Luberon and wonderful Saturday market just outside the doors.

Absolutely Gorgeous Apartment

We enjoyed our stay in your apartment tremendously. It's absolutely beautiful, and by far the nicest apartment we've ever rented. It was immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, and everything worked properly (you'd be surprised how many times those three needs are not met). We'd love to return someday, hopefully we will.

This is our second stay in this apartment, semi-dead of winter. The work on the Place Jean Jaures is almost done, we had hoped to see the finished work but it was interesting to watch the fine workmanship that went into the product. The location is excellent for walking within the city, and driving on day trips to Aix, Avignon and the Sunday market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue is a must do for lovers of food and brocante. Leave by 9:00 am to have a decent parking spot.

Repose in Apt

The location was very good for quick accessibility to local food and shopping. The Saturday market goes from the parking area in the east down rue de Marchais and ending at City Hall. Driving to the small Luberon and Vaucluse villages is very beautiful even if the roads feel a bit tight at times Free long term parking is about 150 yards away. The apartment itself is very spacious, excellent kitchen batterie de cuisine, and very quiet. We hope to return again. David and Laurie

A wonderful experience.

We spent three weeks in this lovely apartment in Apt and enjoyed every minute of it. It's large, bright, clean,well equipped, very nicely furnished and quiet. It was a treat. I have no hesitation recommending it. Apt's central location made it a perfect home base for exploring the region. It was an easy day trip to the Pont du Gard, Sénanque, Silvacane, or any of the dozen mediaeval hilltop villages in the area. And Apt itself was fun to explore. It's a lively, pleasant town with a terrific Saturday market.

Provence in the autumn

This apartment has had lots of cash and lots of imagination lavished upon it. The interior is in the style of a classical French city home. It has high ceilings, ornate decor and top quality fittings and furnishings. The location is excellent . I’d advise any first time visitors to park the car and find the Place Jean Jaures on foot as access to vehicles is complicated, although the owner’s directions are accurate if followed to the letter!

APT art apartment - fantastique

Wonderful property well situated in the heart of Apt - fantastic space and room for two couples. Very accommodating owner - and property manager fairly good communicator. Could not answer basic questions in a timely manner. Only down side was the jack-hammer construction at 7am in the square outside the house. While we were notified there was to be construction related to parking availability, we had no idea that it would result in multiple days of concrete works, trucks, and workers, outside of the front windows. Would LOVE to come back when the works are done - it will be a glorious location for multiple couples to stay.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in Apt verlebt. Karen und Argentine waren sehr hilfsbereit und immer schnell erreichbar. Es ist wirklich eine tolle Wohnung, in der man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Super zentral gelegen, kostenloser Parkplatz in nur 2 Minuten Fussweg erreichbar . Auch bei hohen Außentemperaturen, ist es in der Wohnung angenehm . Von Apt aus kann man die Umgebung sehr gut erkunden. Auf jeden Fall ist die Wohnung sehr empfehlenswert.

This is a gorgeous apartment—spacious, high-ceilinged, beautifully furnished, three large bedrooms.

The property is in a lovely old building on a beautiful square in the center of the old town, close to everything. Both the owner and caretaker are very helpful and responsive. A really special place.

Beautiful Apartment in a Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The furniture, appliances, artwork, and decor are high end and unique. The apartment's architecture is amazing and it is obvious that the owners were very thoughtful in their renovation. One of the things we liked most about the apartment is that it does not have a sterile "rental property" feel; instead it feels like someone's home. No detail was overlooked and everything we needed was at our fingertips. The property is an ideal base from which to visit several of the area's picturesque villages. If the opportunity arose, we would definitely stay in this beautiful apartment again.

Nice apartment with some hidden gems in the area

The apartment is very large and could easily sleep six people. There was only three of us. We enjoyed the kitchen - nice appliances. Internet worked well the whole time we were there. We ended up spending our time outside of Apt - near the lavender fields, drove to L'Isle Sur La Sorgue a few times and also Sault. We really enjoyed Roussillon which was about 20 minutes away. Take the time to do the lavender distillery tour - it was very interesting. Unfortunately, we got to the area a few weeks after all of the lavender was cut, otherwise it would be very beautiful when in-season.

Amazing apartment in central Apt

We loved the place so much we stayed 3 weeks. Great location but quiet. Huge apartment with floor to ceiling windows of 3 metres - all beautifully decorated with high end furnishings and fittings. 3 great bathrooms, 2 with shower and 1 with a bath. Despite the heat the apartment stayed cool all day and night by managing the shutters and windows smartly. This must be the #1 vacation rental in Apt. Thanks.

Overall an absolute beautiful, spacious and centrally located apartment, but not in the summer heat!

If one is driving and has never been to the region, we would highly recommend leaving plenty of daylight in which to find this beautiful, clean, secure and centrally located apartment. Once acclimated, we were extremely happy with the location in which to explore this wonderful village from easy walking distance to grocery store to accessing roads leading in and out of Apt. Karen and Argetine were wonderfully patient and easy to work with despite our VERY late arrival. There was a very wide staircase in which to access the apartment up one floor, the kitchen was extremely spacious and well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, the floors were wonderful, and once we figured out how to use them, having a washer and dryer was a plus! Being only two, the apartment was much more than what we needed-we found 3 "bedrooms" and 3 baths, as well as a powder room/toilette. The open air market was such a treat and in part right outside the apartment with the main thoroughfare of Apt right around the corner---not enough hours in the day in which to explore! Should one venture outside Apt with a car, we would highly recommend exploring the Verdon Gorge, Chateauneuf du Pape and definitely Tourettes sur Loup. Unfortunately we did not leave time to explore the Luberon region right outside Apt. The main negatives for us included 1) the summer heat (07/07-13/07/2016). Despite the beautiful high ceilings, large beautiful windows with shutters that we kept closed during the day and three floor fans, we found it to be extremely uncomfortable, particularly sleeping at night and to have the windows closed up made the apartment extremely dark-yes, we ventured out for most of the day into the early evenings. 2) The shower heads were poor and only dripped but one of the handheld wands worked well; should one like taking baths, the main massive bathroom has a beautiful oval tub. 3) Depending on how many occupy this apartment, closet space could be an issue-there are no closets in the massive master "bedroom," but there are three closets in the dining room area that can be accessed. Overall, this is a beautiful, spacious and centrally located apartment to which we would return but not during the summer heat. Those of you who are not familiar with Europe, shops/restaurants close in the afternoon; in Apt we found generally closed between 2 and 3:30 p.m. Also, if bread lovers, purchase on a daily basis what you might consume, add cheese and wine and one cannot go wrong!

Absolutely fabulous!!!

If I were to try and spell out everything that is wonderful about this place it would take volumes. You need to stay there to fully appreciate it. Apt is perfectly situated to travel Provence and yet doesn't feel touristy at all. But it was difficult for us to leave each morning and a joy to return to the quiet luxury each night.

Maravilloso apartamento en Apt. En las fotos se ve estupendo pero en directo es mil veces mejor. Precioso, enorme, acogedor, decorado con gusto exquisito y comodísimo. Bien situado en Apt, cerca de tiendas, supermercados, restaurantes y fenomenal para disfrutar del mercadillo de los sábados. A una hora de coche alrededor estupendas excursiones, visitas y pueblos. El mejor alojamiento vacacional en el que he estado nunca. Maravilloso hogar que Karen alquila con una generosidad infinita. Para repetir una y mil veces.

Couldn't have been better!

This apartment is outstanding! It is spacious, very well decorated & has everything you could possibly need. Apt is such a great spot to stay in for exploring the region. You get the feeling that you are off the tourist beat and staying with the French. In this apartment you can walk to great restaurants and shops. The description shows this as 2 bedroom & 2 bath, but there are actually 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths & 1 half bath. Karen was so communicative & stayed in touch with us before & during our trip to make sure everything was as it should be. Great place & great experience!

Outstanding Apartment in the Heart of Apt

The apartment itself is simply outstanding, spacious and tastefully decorated. It is ideally located within easy walking distance of the old town where the Sat market is held. Apt is also ideally located for exploring the Luberon. Karen was a delight to work with, she was always quick to respond to questions and actually took the time to read the question and answer it. If/when we go back this is where we are going to stay.

Fabulous

We had an amazing time in that beautiful apartment and all of us loved it! It was a real chance to be able to stay in such a well furnished and decorated place. Karen has been absolutely lovely with us, calling us to answer some of my questions and making sure we had everything we needed. Argentine, her local agent, was also really kind and took the time to show us the place around despite our late arrival. I would definitely recommend this place and even come back if it's available! A beautiful and spacious apartment!

This beautiful apartment was perfect location for exploring the area and a haven to return to in the evenings. Do follow the owner's directions and you will not have a problem finding it. If you are not familiar with European ovens ask for instructions.

I'm a Canadian who fell in love with this region. I live with my family between Toronto and Paris.

Why they chose this property

I chose Apt because it is an active town all year round. When I first visited this building I understood it's potential with it's 12 foot high ceilings, the full lenth windows, original 17th century fronton paintings incorporated in the wall and original fresques. We treated the restoration of this apartment with an architect who chose to keep the 17th century feeling but in a luxurious way. It is situated in the old part of the city next to the famous Saint Anne Cathedrale of Apt. We are surrounded by pre-historic ruins. Apt and the whole region is filled with Roman ruins. Within very close distances of villages like Bonnieux, Isle sur la Sorge, Gordes, Rousillon, Goult, Saignon, Saint Remy de Provence, Lourmarin, etc.....just to mention a few. A region rich in the arts with the festivals of Avignon, Aix en Provence, the piano festival at the la Roque-d'Anthéron. A region rich in arts, theatre, music, food, nature and light!

If you are spending some time in the area this luxurious apartment with it's extremely high ceilings is the perfect place to come home to after a day of driving, and walking the region. We have made sure that your comfort comes before everything.
