About this property

Great location and one of the "Hottest" neighborhoods in Austin!

Located in Northwest Austin/Great Hills area. Open living space with master bedroom (newly remodeled master bath) downstairs and 2 bedrooms office/living area upstairs. Two large living areas, one with a large island kitchen and the other has a fun Texas style bar to hang out at. Lots of windows looking out to trees, green space and deer roaming the area. Our home sits at the end of a cul-de-sac with just a 2 block walk to a beautiful Great Hills Park/hiking greenbelt.

Comfortable family home

This is a wonderful spacious home that is well equipped and furnished. The neighborhood is nice with a backyard to relax, enjoy the sunshine and watch the deer that hang out.

Terrific Home

Family came to Austin for a celebration of life event, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the VRBO rental. The home was spotless, warm and comfortable, and very well positioned for the various events that we had in Northwest Austin. If we have the need again, we will definitely look to rent this home.

Great home! Great communication from owner.

The home was very clean and “homey”. it was exactly how it was described in the listing. We arrived and didn’t have to do anything but drop our bags! Owner was very quick to respond to anything we needed. Neighbors were friendly and helpful also.

Weekend Getaway

Great location! So close to The Domain with plenty of restaurants. Perfect for our group. Loved seeing the deer in the evenings and mornings. Great views while enjoying your morning coffee.

Very Responsive Management

There were multiple issues with our 12 day stay here. So why a 4 star review instead of a 1 or 2? Because the issues that cropped up were responded to very quickly and dealt with by Charice and via her, with the owners. Charice lives a short distance away and I feel confident that she will ensure that steps are taken (maintenance wise) to avoid having others experience what we did. I know they had recently had a long term rental and it can be difficult to know there is a problem unless the guests inform the owners, and I'm assuming this is where our problem stemmed from. Again, Charice, upon being informed about it and a few other smaller issues, was extremely prompt in dealing with and fixing those issues, often checking with us to make sure we were comfortable with her or any service people needing access. None of the problems had to do with the neighbor mentioned in a previous review. We chatted for quite a while and she is actually quite lovely and kind. Most of the neighbors know each other. The entire neighborhood is off the beaten path and ends in a cul-de-sac. It is quiet and we pretty much saw deer every single day (they would often rest and graze near the kitchen window), so it's a great place to observe wildlife. Just drive carefully, especially at night, as once we saw a huge group of 12 deer just grazing along the street. Positives: -Excellent and responsive management and owners -Quiet location with easy access to main road, -Lots of wildlife -Spacious and more modern master shower - Nice neighbors - Owners willing to go extra mile if aware of an issue - Lots of ceiling fans - Super comfy recliner couch - Large master closet Negatives : - Reactive versus proactive maintenance on my stay - Master bath open to master bedroom so it can be disruptive if 2 people share it. - Master bath needs a ventilation fan near the shower or dehumidifier; The bedroom would get very humid when showering as it lacks proper ventilation. - Every room is has furniture in every available space, making it feel cramped and cluttered. - No garage access - Other than remodeled master area, decor is very dated. -Large kitchen appliances are very dated but work (I did not use the stove). If you want a high end, modern place, or have toddlers, this isn't for you (lots of breakable/choking hazard decor). It's great if you just need a quiet place to stay with your family (older kids) or small group.

BEST STAY EVER

This property was absolutely amazing. Felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. Very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Even spices and condiments. The hosts gave us the ultimate southern hospitality treatment. The hiking trail nearby is a great, easy little hike with lots to see and the deer roaming through the neighborhood are exciting to see. Easy access to the highways and interstates to get anywhere. Not bad of a drive to downtown. A+, 5 stars, absolutely great.
