Carriage Hill Farm, 1 bed, 1 bath - 14 Night Minimum
We sit on a hillside overlooking Skagit farmland and beyond that the waters of the Northern Puget Sound and the spectacular San Juan Islands. Turn from the island view east and you will find Mount Baker sitting firmly on the foundation of the Cascade foothills. On clear winter nights, the ski areas above Vancouver, BC are clearly visible. Cattle graze on green fields just below the farm and when the potato harvest is over swans, snow geese and ducks of all kinds feast through the mild winter.

Very comfortable, cosy and pleasantly decorated place with a stupendous view of the farmland, mountains and sea, all in one.
The place was spotless and contained all amenities we might have wished for, from espresso machine to binoculars, board games and a very comfortable bed.
We got there late at night and the host called us several times as we were approaching to guide us to the house by phone. He was most gracious and patient.

As others have mentioned the bed was hard, unbearably uncomfortable.
The rental is located next road workshop and above a large garage and due to that the moment you walk through the door a blast of has/oil/diesel odor hits you immediately, so bad that I was unable to have clothes out of my suitcase.
The property was dirty beyond a simple "somebody was here before" kind of dirty.
I contacted the owner directly to let him know about the problem. He said he had trouble finding a cleaner and promised to call me back in 2 hours. I said I was NOT going to occupy his cottage that night. He promised he would call back in 2 hours. He never did. I called him 4 times the next day until I finally gave up and called VRBO directly.
Today is my 6th. day trying to get a refund for the entire stay. VRBO is helping, but they cannot get a hold of David, hence I cannot get my refund.
We had to scramble to find a place to stay. Not to mention that our plans for 5 days had to change. It was a total fiasco!
FIND ANOTHER PROPERTY! This is not worth your time. And VRBO should not be doing business with this person.
Our stay would have been perfect except for the bed. The accommodations were clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and reached out to us several times to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Unfortunately the bed was the most uncomfortable bed my wife and I had ever slept on. After the first night we had to find other accommodations because the bed was too uncomfortable. If it weren’t for the bed we would have stayed for the full reservation and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage Hill Farm. The apartment was very pretty and comfortable. We also thoroughly appreciated the setting with the view of the sound. Sunsets were spectacular!
