Retro beach cottage with COMPLIMENTARY GOLF CART, EXTENDED WIFI AND CABLE. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a sleeper sofa. located in the south side section of Ocean Lakes. All the comforts of home including a fully stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer in the unit. This is a park model with an addition.

***Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bathroom with a walk in shower and laundry
*** Bedroom 2 has a full size bed and a bathroom with a full tub/shower.
****Living room has a queen sofa bed
Washer and dryer are located in the home.
Separate kitchen with the comforts of home; coffee maker (drip style, microwave and all the pots, pans bakeware you should need.
Enjoy sitting out on the new front deck under the shade trees. There is parking in front for 1 car and parking on the driveway for another. Ocean Lakes has overflow parking as well.
This is Myrtle Beaches number one family campground. Enjoy miniature golf, the arcade, lazy River, speed slide and tube slide plus a kids splash zone. Ocean front with life guards during the summer. Fishing is end of our block. Take A golf cart ride over to the meet and greet and have a hamburger and soda or shop in the gift shop connected to the grocery store.

We were able to check in early, which was great! She was very responsive to any questions I had. It was the perfect space for 2 adults and 2 kids (9&12). Only thing was the golf cart, you had to really push down on the brake to get it to stop. Other than that no issues. Looking forward to coming back!

Great last minute booking

We had a nice time. Our extended family planned a stay and we were worried about finding somewhere to stay. This was the perfect last minute booking and was a great size for 4 adults. Some areas were a little outdated, however it did not affect any of the stay. The smaller room had a very comfortable bed. We tremendously appreciated it being walking distance to the beach and the golf cart provided helped my parents in their 70’s to get around.

Great family getaway!

Fun little cottage

Our family had a great time spending a week at this property. The house was typical of the small converted mobile homes that I have stayed in at Ocean Lakes in the past. The provided golf cart was a huge plus, and the kids really enjoyed taking part in the nightly golf cart parade.

Great Place

For the money and time of year, this was a great place and a good price. Its older, but that is the ocean lakes experience that we all grew up with, not the fancy stilt houses. Was nice as a getaway and clean. The golfcart was an added bonus.

Property was nice, we didnt use the kitchen at all, beds were comfortable. Golf cart was great amenity, although we did have an issue with golf cart breaking down while we were there. All in all it was a great vacation.

Fun Vacation!

We spent the month of April 2023 in this VBRO. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation (especially the golf cart for trips to the beach and watch the sunrise.) Very nice shaded lot with acrobatic squirrels providing early morning and evening entertainment. The campground is large, with a lot of planned activities. Glad we chose this property for a new experience.

Property is very run down amd smells like mold and mildew, tried to gis rod of smell but for worse as the week went on, blinds are broken amd missing in several locations. Broken lamps and closet doors outside is filthy needs to be power washed deck is black. Golf cart was dirty upon arrival and back seat and foot stand on back was tilted amd very unstable. I would not rent this property again amd the owners should stop in and and see what this looks like on occasion it was not an enjoyable stay.

The Ocean Lakes Family campground area is quite interesting. It's a community in and of itself. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and it's right on the beach. Everyone has a golf cart which is fun and convenient. We paid $360 per night (if you add all of the fees) and it was a rip off for what we got. We made a reservation for the room in the picture. When we got to the main gate, no one had called for our parking passes, so we couldn't get in. Once that was resolved we went to our "cabin" and the key wasn't there. So I texted and was told to stand by (we were there before the 3:00 check in, so we figured it was just a little early). After waiting a bit we got a phone call saying that there was a mix up and the cabin was occupied. They were moving us to a "larger" cabin. Okay, no worries. Well, this place was likely NOT larger ... it was very, very small. The steps walking up onto the porch were broken, it is a filthy place, there were dead roaches, we didn't have linens, you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. We are campers, so we are okay with less than perfect ... and we survived the weekend ... but I can't help but to feel we got the "bait and switch". It was very disappointing. I took lots of pictures but I'm not sure I'll be able to post with this review.

Very nice

We were in town for my daughter's softball nationals tournament. The house was just what we needed for our family of 4. My husband and I had our own bathroom, my daughter slept in the second bedroom and our son on the pullout couch. The unit includes linens and a washer and dryer, which came in very handy due to needed clean uniforms. The unit also included a golf cart to get around the massive campground. We did not cook at all during our stay, as we were always on the go, so I cannot speak to the functionality of the kitchen. Overall, very nice!

Golf cart was nice to have with the property. This golf cart seemed to run a really long time compared to some others. Owner was easy to deal with. Found one roach the first day. I wasn't in house except to sleep so I didn't really pay attention. I never cooked in the house. Found lot of roaches the last day. Owner says they will spray. It's a basic house at a cost less than some others. I didn't really look at that many houses as I booked kind of late. My kids like Ocean Lakes.

Overall good stay for a small family

My family and I stayed here for a week. The location was fantastic, house was great for a family of four. The house could use some updating, the pictures were better than in person for sure. We had a few issues with the golf cart, but we were able to make it work. We also had some issues with pests, but the owner was quick to help with the problem. I brought any issues to the owners attention and they were taking care of it within minutes. I even accidentally left some headphones behind and they were quick to mail them back to me. Overall it was a nice stay.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with Ocean Lakes the first time I visited back in 2015 and got to stay in this adorable home. When you drive through the gates of Ocean Lakes it is instant vacation. Everyone is smiling. The golf cart parade at dark is amazing. The kids have fun decorating the carts and slapping each other’s hands as you drive by.

What makes this property unique

It's a happy home away from home. There is a driveway and little extra space in front for the golf cart.
