Quiet getaway

Lovely cottage. No toiletries as advertised tho, needed to get soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and bottled water. Shower water was stinky, sulphur.

Comfortable condo in a great location

We stayed here five days and had a very relaxing low stress time. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded, with plenty of lounges and shade palapas to get out of the sun if you prefer. You can walk for miles on one of the prettiest beaches in the islands. White soft sand with crystal clear water.The pool is large well cared for and with lots of seating.The villa is well appointed with a complete kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the entire place is very clean. There is some nice outdoor seating well concealed by tall hedges.There are a few very nice places for lunch and dinner, just a short walk down the beach. If you want tourist hustle and bustle, the reality is Great Abaco is not the island to hang out on. It is a quiet relaxed place.

Great location

The villa was great for the four of us. It is located near all the Treasure Cay amenities. We enjoyed the pool and deck overlooking the beautiful beach.

Great place to stay!

What great find this was! We stayed for 8 nights- 2 adults and 2 children ages 5-8. It's a little villa that feels spacious situated just a few houses down from the pool and right next to a path to the beach. Short walking distance to laundry, small grocery store (very overpriced, stop at Maxwell's on your way from the airport!), bakery, and the marina. It was just about a 30 minute boat ride from the marina to Green Turtle Cay and No Name Cay. At low tide, turn right at the beach and walk about 1 mile to an amazing sandbar where we found starfish, sand dollars, and beautiful shells. On your way back, if it's before 4, stop at the beach club resort for a drink. The beach villas is a lovely community with friendly people and feels extremely safe. The only room for improvement I'd say is it would be nice to have a dresser or drawers of some kind in the master bedroom to more neatly unpack (Theres 1 or 2 shelves in the closet, that's about it) and my husband would have really loved a propane or charcoal grill. Thankfully one of the very friendly neighbors was kind enough to let us use their grill.Highly recommend this property!

It was so comfortable, nicely situated close to the beach, pool, store, golf cart rental, boat rental everything you could need for a great vacation. Also met many of the neighbors, they were all so friendly and helpful.

The house was beautiful and very clean. Just steps away from the most beautiful beach! Yvette was very friendly and helpful when the Wi-Fi stopped working. We would definitely stay again.!!

Treasure Cay is amazing, and so is Serentity by the sea

Great place and they far exceed the listed amenities. Great location. I have stayed at Bahama Beach Club - stay here instead a much better deal and even closer to the very limited nightlife. Owners are a pleasure to work with.

AWESOME!

This place is even better than described. it's in a fantastic location (Treasure Cay) and the unit is very well maintained. The A/C works great. the owner was very, VERY prompt in responding to any question i had and gave us some very good suggestions for boat rental and fishing. we will 1000% go back to Serenity by the Sea in the future.

Amazing Vacation

The property is fantastic and just as described. Walking distance to Cafe Florence’s and the marina where we rented a boat and explored the near by islands (this is a must). The water is absolutely beautiful and we were the only ones on the beach for the majority of our time there. If you are looking for peace and quiet and perfect beaches this is it. Watching our kids run and play without any worry was truly a vacation. We are already planning our next trip back!

Peace and quiet

Very beautiful area. Beach was a 2 minute walk from the front door to a powder soft sand beach with teal colored water. Fresh water pool if you don't care to swim in the sea. Super friendly neighbors but lots of privacy. Yvette gave a great run down of the amenities in the neighborhood. Strongly recommend Sunset Pizza right outside of gate to Treasure Cay.

Walk to beautiful beach - from beautifully updated house

VRBO and beach was great. Sad that very little infrastructure and commercial development has been rebuilt since the hurricane in 2019. Don't expect nice restaurants and shopping it isn't here - but neither are the crowds. We often were the only ones on the beach.

Lovely property

At first we were disappointed that the property wasn’t directly on the ocean, but soon overcame that when we found the beach was just a 3-minute walk & we could hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach from the villa. Plus Yvette informed us we could borrow the beach chairs from the Beach Villas on Abaco (BVOA) Cabana beach area during our stay (which we were thankful for, as we used them to watch the sunrise every morning & returned them at the end of our stay). The kitchen doesn’t have bowls with lids, so we recommend when you stop for groceries to pick up Ziploc bags, tinfoil, paper towels & toilet paper (only 1 roll per bathroom to start). If you plan to make meals for a large family, the pots and pans are not really large enough. There were some things that a handyman could easily fix at the villa, such as a rotted picnic table bench, bathroom hardware that wouldn’t stay on, backyard deck wood popping up. Also, the deck chairs can’t be moved, so when they’re in the sun, they’re in the sun—enjoy it, or sit somewhere else, lol. And finally, we could never get the TVs in the bedrooms to work, although the main tv in the living room worked fine. Not that you come to Abaco to watch TV, but it would have been nice to have something on as you’re trying to fall asleep at night. It’s a very quiet community, the pool was fabulous. The beach is absolutely amazing. All in all it was a wonderful getaway. Often times we felt like we had the beach to ourselves, which was wonderful!

Comfortable villa close to beach

My husband and I enjoyed a comfortable stay at Serenity By The Sea villa. The unit was clean and well appointed with newer appliances and linens. We had a couple of initial glitches but Yvette was quick to respond and take care of things. The unit was within a couple minutes walk to the beach. The Treasure Cay Beach Villa community was a very clean and safe community to stay in. People were exceedingly friendly and helpful.

Absolute relaxation

Treasure Cay is the place to stay when visiting the Abaco’s! The most pristine beaches and ultimate sunshine make this little community awesome…Traveling for business I ran into this property literally one minute from the beach and a 3 minute walk to a great pool deck and full size pool..When it came to our villa, it was a 2 bedroom two bath situated with a kitchen and big dining room and sitting area..Totally clean and prepared for our stay..Mattresses where comfortable and felt new..Yvette which was our host totally spoiled us with the checkin process and followed up with us a couple of times to see that we were comfortable..What a wonderful host..Thank you..A great place and a unbeatable location make this place a must stay in Treasure Cay

The house was as shown, confortable beds, clean bathrooms and kitchen, nice location. Our real problem was Internet. The modem needs to be replaced it is fixed with band aids and it is not working continuously. First day without internet Manager told us was going to send somebody but never happens. Serendipity and serenity

When our vrbo was canceled a month before our trip, it was good luck that we planned our trip in the off season. It wa better luck when we found this villa. It’s a large development (for the out islands) but we were on the outer edge with easy access to the beach, pool and street. Even with the close proximity of other villas we felt very private and serene. Very much recovered from Dorian (except for our original rental which was being remodeled), the villa and its landscaping was clean, neat, well laid out with all the convenience of modem homes. A special shout out to Shantel the property manager, who assisted us several times. We hope to come back again!

Great locale for a low key getaway

We arrived at the airport a few hours before check in and the host was so kind as to let us check in early. The property is very charming and clean, and just a couple minutes walk from the pool and beach. It’s obvious there was a lot of thought put into the decor. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room for us all to have some space. Just be aware that like the listing states the place is not childproofed, for example the floors are slippery when wet so be cautious of that. The beach was absolutely breathtaking, and the villas are a short walk to the Bahama Beach Club, as well as to a mini market and another restaurant. There is laundry onsite as well. Highly recommended to rent a golf cart in advance as they go quickly and they’re the best way to explore the area, especially when you don’t want to walk in the heat. Overall we loved our stay!!

Perfect!

Our stay at Serenity by the Sea was absolutely perfect. We wanted (and needed) to just check out and regroup and luckily came across this villa. Planning with the owner was seamless. Accommodations were lovely, clean and well equipped. The beach and Sea of Abaco, hard to put it into words other than paradise. The island is still in recovery from Hurricane Dorian. There are still a lot of properties that are destroyed but the Beach Villas are in good shape. The Bahama Beach Club is a short walk down the beach and they have good food and drinks. There’s a small market, breakfast and lunch place and liquor store just a short walk away. We rented a boat at the adjacent marina, which is still closed, but there were boats available and we had a great time. We felt safe and had a great week. Will be back for sure! Thank you Yvette!
