Bright and spacious house, overlooking the 7th green with northstar views. Newly built and decorated to the highest standard, with mountain modern design. Two patio/deck areas, one at ground floor and another large deck at first floor level. At the ground floor level, there is another TV/lounge area, with built in bar. Enjoy the Sawyer restaurant, clubhouse, pool and discounted rounds of golf.

Perfect Place for family+dog!

We had a great time staying here and using as a basecamp access point for skiing at Northstar. Lorraine was very responsive and super helpful (even with letting us check-in early to beat start of storm).

NorthStar Getaway

Great location to stay for our family snowboard trip being centrally located between downtown Truckee and NorthStar. The house was super clean, and Lorraine was easily reachable during check in/out and to answer any questions. The downstairs area for the kids was cool as they had their own area to hang out. Looking forward to stary here again during our summer golf trip.

Look elsewhere for a townhouse rental.

Do NOT rent this property. There are mice in the townhome. The downstairs area has multiple mouse traps with some of the traps still having dead mice. I spoke to Lorraine about this issue and her response was “you are staying in the wilderness”, suggesting that mice inside the house is common. The house is located on a golf course with $4-6 million dollar homes in the neighborhood, so yes, we are in Tahoe, but far from a wilderness. Lorraine called me later and told me that someone would be out in the morning to address the issue. No one ever came. We sealed off the areas where the mice were seen, but that reduced the three bedrooms to two bedrooms. The townhome needs maintenance and better upkeep. There are multiple lights that do not work, external door handles that fall off during use, a kitchen sink facet that is about to break, and kitchen pots and pans that need to be replaced as the non-stick coatings are damaged. It would also be helpful to have a Welcome Packet in the townhome to offer instructions on handling trash, operating the TVs, operating the fireplace, and heating thermostats. It would also be nice to know what services are available to renters at the Schaffers Mill clubhouse. None of this information was provided.
