Winter wonderland near the brand new Tahoe Donner Ski Lodge with 3 mstr bdrms!

Welcome to our beautiful home! While surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the Lake Tahoe area, you will have all the amenities, conveniences and connectivity you enjoy at home. The open floor plan great room features a fully equipped chef's kitchen including a Nespresso VertuoLine (we love to cook and are serious about our morning coffee!), a large island with 4 bar stools, a dining table that seats 8, a game table, a gas starter wood fireplace and a TV with all the aps (apple TV, Netflix, Hulu etc) . A custom built artisan 10' shuffleboard table has also been installed for fun indoor activities on those rainy/snowy days. The large deck off the great room has a gas barbecue (direct from the house so never runs out!) as well as patio furniture in the summer. High speed WifFi throughout the house makes remote work a breeze (though as with all mountain living, can be subject to power outages) As we have 2 boys of our own the house is very kid friendly.

Our home is located within a short walk the Donner Downhill ski area (0.2miles away with a BRAND NEW LODGE for 2025- 2026!) and trails are ½ mile away and in easy walking distance for snowshoeing, hiking and mountain biking. There is an attached 3 car garage and ample driveway parking for additional cars (4) . A mile away are the Trout Creek Recreation Center, Golf Course and driving range/sledding hill.


The Trout Creek Recreation Center offers hot tubs (three of them!), a large swimming pool (summer), a separate lap pool (heated in winter), saunas, fitness center, classes and health spa. Tahoe Donner also has an outstanding tennis center, cross country/equestrian/mountain biking center and a small downhill ski area. There is a private beach for swimming and boating at Donner Lake Marina 5 miles away.

** New starting Jan 2026- Access to private Tahoe Donner amenities have changed for ALL homes and is based on homeowner providing renters individual guest cards with their rental. This home provides 6 individual cards with the rental. **

Short-Term Tenant Card Access:
Each card grants one individual (ages 3+) access to private amenities per day, with Daily Access Fees required for all visits.

2026 Short-Term Tenant Card Restrictions
Short-Term Tenant Cards are welcome at the private amenities approximately 332 days a year. To prioritize member access during the holidays, Short-Term Tenant Card access will be blacked out on the following dates:
Jan 17-19 (MLK Day)
Feb 14-16 (President’s Day)
May 23-25 (Memorial Day)
July 1-5 (July 4th)
Sept 5-7 (Labor Day)
Nov 26-29 (Thanksgiving Day)
Dec 24-Jan 3, 2027 (Christmas/New Year’s holiday)

Major ski areas within 30 minutes include Squaw Valley, Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Alpine Meadows. The town of Truckee has unique shops, pubs and dining. Tahoe Donner has its own excellent restaurant at the Golf Course Lodge.

This is our second home that we take great pride in as we also use it monthly to escape the bustle of everyday life. We strive to make this your home away from home as well! Personal touches allow more flexibility and personalized care that some of the professionally managed rentals cannot provide. We hope your family enjoys the home as much as we do!

This is a mountain home and with that comes the excitement of unpredictable weather, (short) power outages, and sometimes highway and road closure. The home is also at 6800ft and receives much more snow than in Truckee proper. AWD is a must for any home access in this area of Tahoe Donner. Driveway is plowed once daily but it is not uncommon for the town of Truckee to plow higher elevation roads last. There will be no refunds due to weather and factors out of our control. We encourage trip insurance or booking an extra night if you want extra buffer around your trip.

This spa comes equipped with 6 customized JetPaks to elevate the hyrotherapeutic experience- this really is a unique relaxing hot tub experience. (Do note that Tahoe Donner strictly enforces the quiet hours of 10pm-7am)

*** pet rental policy **
We do allow 1 dog per reservation with pre approval only, for an additional 200 pet fee. While we love dogs, (our dog travels everywhere with us too!) and we have been happy to allow them to be included in family vacations in the past, the unfortunate abuse of this rule with destructive dogs has forced us to be more selective.
