Lazy Life Lake Lodge
We have replaced our grill with a new stainless 5 burner grill and have also replaced all mattresses and box springs, king size beds in bedrooms 3 queen beds in loft.
This gorgeous log home is located in a pristine cove in the Cove Pointe / Big Creek area on Norris Lake (point 6). The lake is literally right out your window. Home is in a cove so lake/ dock is primarily accessible may, June, July, aug early September due to lake level dropping in the off season. We still book outside lake season as the area is a peaceful getaway to enjoy family time.

The home features two main decks that over look the crystal clear lake and woods and there are 2 smaller decks on the side of the home and out front. Great places to hang out.

The home itself boasts a well furnished great room that is so welcoming and includes a nice large fire place with a newly installed big screen TV above fireplace. Great place to relax and enjoy family. Also a highlight are the excellent dining areas both inside and on the main deck with a wonderful view of the woods and water. You will find that everyone seems to gravitate to that main deck and its so fun to settle in after a long day on the water to laugh and tell stories. The kitchen is fully equipped and up to date including disposal, blender, dish washer etc. so you can focus on the fun stuff rather than the clean up. The washer and dryer in the main bathroom offers further convenience.

All bedrooms are roomy and tastefully finished- pillow and fresh bed linens provided. And if you fall asleep on that comfy couch... well... people might just leave you there!

Also- just in case of a rainy day we have videos and games but feel free to bring your own favorite fun stuff. The cabin has Wi-Fi but we hope you spend most of your time on the water and don't really need it.

The easy walk to the dock and water is a short path through the beautiful canopy of trees. You may see deer- turtles- squirrels- wood peckers- otters or just about anything on your way to the lake. The dock gives you plenty of room to put your boat and feel free to bring your jet skis and put then on the 2 jet ski ports. Sequoyah, Whitman Hollow and Star Dust Marinas are near by. In season you can enjoy great food and drinks at the marinas.

You just wont find a home this nice in such a beautiful cove on Norris Lake at this price.
Trust me- this is the best part of the lake! And the beautiful cabin is perfect!!

Thank you for the review and yes, unfortunately for Norris Lake a lot of them have a walk to the lake. Ours is average or below average as many more that are steeper and more steps. That’s why we put in the zigzagging steps to have some platforms to stop at.

This property/home was magical! We rented a boat/jet skis for the week.. our adult kids had a blast and so did we!.. kitchen was well stocked and so was the entire house!.. Scott and Jen replied to any/all questions very quickly. The stairs were tough but great exercise!. The peaceful cove was stunning and the entire property was amazing! We loved the location and everything about this vacation!

The place was great and clean. Be aware that the bedroom with 3 queens in it, is a loft overlooking the living area. The kitchen would be a bit small if you filled to max occupancy. We had a great time there and would use again.

If you have disabilities, Can not climb stairs. The 93 steps down and back was a surprise. Beautiful cabin. Wildlife was great.

I have to say we did enjoy the house. The house was not as clean as I would’ve liked. There were a lot of lightbulbs out.There were more steps than I anticipated, which was all on me. The host was very helpful. The cove was very nice.

As for the amount of steps to the walk to the lake ours are as advertised in our pictures but being on Norris Lake unfortunately this is something you have to deal with. Ours are about average. Cell phone service was our only issue. Starlink is available so you get internet but voice contact is not available, we use Verizon network.Use gos to get to cabin, screenshot the cabin code etc because you cannot pull up email for key code once your there.This cabin is great for large groups of people, 3 bedrooms downstairs for couples. Huge loft with three large beds all in open area with 1/2 bath in loft.If you have kids that play inside on video games etc…..you might consider a cabin with a gameroom/pool table etc….direct access to lake, grab floaters to float around in the cove. Town is about 12 miles from cabin but you have Walmart, Ollie’s and lots of fast food options. Whitman hollow marina is great for boats n tubes.Have fun!!!

Norris Trip to Cove Point

We had a great time at this location. The house comes with all the amenities to facilitate a weeklong stay. The location on the lake provides a great cove to swim in (kids absolutely loved the slide) and we were able to visit almost all the marinas on the west side of the lake via boat. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great for family

Loved this cabin. It was perfect for our early Thanksgiving with our family. The kids had plenty of room to play and sleep. We spent most of our time outside enjoyed playing corn hole and hanging out by the fire. The property is very peaceful and beautiful to the lake. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away.

Would Rent Again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a gorgeous week and were able to spend time on the lake daily. Bring your own DVD/blu ray movies if you like to watch movies - there is wifi but it doesn’t support online movie platforms well (but the owner was upfront about the wifi). Awesome family time!!

Excellent vacation spot!!

Loved the cabin like house, the porches, the private dock, the cove, the nature and the fire pit. All of it was wonderful!! Perfect rooms for the whole family!! Very relaxing and comfortable. Lots of steps to the water, but not a problem. Highly recommend this house for family vacations! Would also recommend renting a boat if you don't already have one, the lake is beautiful!

We had a great weekend staying on the lake here at this beautiful cabin. We stayed for the weekend and found this cabin to be very private and found so much to do to jam pack our stay with lots to do. Seclusion and peace

This lake house is perfect for family wanting to get away, relax, and enjoy the mountain lake. It’s huge but not fancy so you can put your feet up and relax. Plenty of outdoors to love and a nice place to retreat inside. It is quintessential lake house. Don’t expect fancy, but it has everything you need. Owners are super responsive and nice.
