Woodridge--Entire House with 50+ acres for your enjoyment

One bedroom with king bed, one bath, and double sleeper sofa in the living area. Paved driveway and covered double parking. Open living area with a well equipped kitchen featuring granite counter tops. Central heat and air. Outdoor living includes a front and back deck with a fire pit and a gas grill. Just open your back door and your furry friend has a large fenced in area to play ($100 pet fee ). The rental can accommodate no more than 2 dogs. Very private, yet close to area attractions.

The rental is a short distance to area towns and local attractions; such as, white water rafting, hiking and biking trails, wedding venues, wineries, breweries, Tail of the Dragon, John C. Campbell Folk School, and Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino. However, if you don’t want to drive to a hiking trail, go out your back door and hike on the 50+ acres which have streams, a pond, wildlife, and mature indigenous trees.

A deck wraps around the front and the back of the house offering fantastic views of the mountains. You and your furry friend will find the deck and fenced in backyard very inviting! It is a nice place to eat, watch the night sky, and listen to the country sounds.

Inside you will find all the amenities that you can ask for. An open living-dining- kitchen enables you to prepare meals, watch Cable TV, use the wireless internet, and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.

Thank you for renting your place to us. We enjoyed your home. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in yard. That's a big plus for us. We enjoy visiting Andrew and Murphy. Great restaurants in both towns and good food at the Farmhouse diner down the road.

Awsome place to stay very central to antique shops and trails. exceptional clean.

Wanda and Mitchell have a beautiful home and they are great host to deal with. The home is well stocked with lots of essential items all you need to bring is your cloths and food. My favorite thing was the Keurig machine and the coffee just like mine at home. My puppy loved the yard. Thank you for a wonderful vaction we will book again.

A nice place to stay

The owners had everything you could need. Everything was clean and tidy. It was a great spot to let the dog run around in a fenced in area. My one tiny issue was the traffic noise, though it’s probably not as bad in the summer with the leaves to break the sounds. Was a great place would recommend to friends. Thanks.

Last minute short trip that did not disappoint. CLEAN with everything we needed...lots of extras. Kitchen upgrades, king size comfy bed, lots of space & fenced area for our 4-legged children all convenient to restaurants & downtown Murphy was perfect! Would not hesitate to return!

Great house in a tranquil place

This house was soo welcoming! We came in the front door after dark and found a basket of snacks waiting on the kitchen counter. There were special accommodations for pets (we didn't have ours, but will next time). The house is secluded and quiet, but 15 mins from downtown, 10 minutes from groceries, and the casino is even closer. We will book this house again!!

Exactly as advertised. No surprises here. Our 2nd stay and it works very well for us. Clean, comfortable bed, every thing you will need except for personal items. Handy to casino, shopping and restaurants but just far enough away for that relaxing in the mountains feeling. Bonus, covered parking for your vehicle. No hesitation at all to recommend it.

Wonderful Place 😄

The property was clean. The owners response time is quick. It was just my husband, myself, and our three dogs. It is conveniently located centrally to many places. There is a Walmart about ten minutes away. The fenced in yard sold it for us. There is also a small dog park right down the road. It was perfect for what we needed.. We will probably try to stay here anytime we are visiting my parents. I would also recommend to anyone if is a cozy cabin. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Just As We Were Looking For

There were no surprises as to the condition of the house and property, it was exactly as advertised. The fenced yard was very secure and a huge plus for our pooch. We really enjoyed being able to relax outside on the porch and by the fire pit without worrying about our dog. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in the house. The kitchen was very well stocked and basic supplies were provided. The pond was a little further down than we expected but was easy to access and provided a lovely view. Wanda & Mitchell were responsive to questions and provided plenty of info on activities in the area. We loved to listen to the bullfrogs croaking from the pond area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and got some much-needed rest and relaxation.

We were there for 5 days. The house was extremely clean & had everything we could've possibly needed from gas for the grill to laundry detergent (even tho I brought my own coz we use plant based) to dishwasher & bath soap. It was literally like going to a second home. It was very quiet & secluded. The only things we found displeasing was the bed was very firm & I do mean FIRM, so I did not get much sleep at all. I even attempted to make it softer by using the extra quilts & blankets on top of the mattress, but honestly, that was a complete waste of time. Also, the yard needed mowing & weedeating badly. There were huge over grown weeds, as tall as me, right along the entire front of the house & next to the front porch. I guess their yard person wasn't keeping up very well. Over all it was pretty good, I guess. We found a couple really nice restaurants & we got away for a nice break.

Great wrap around deck, loved the fenced in back yard. Surrounded by trees. The house is very clean and inviting, kitchen has everything. No need to go any where for meals, we did go to the Farm House restaurant for all you can eat catfish on Friday, 3 minutes from the cabin🤗🥰

Great Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exactly as advertised and did not disappoint us. The house was clean and had everything we needed to prepare a few meals and just relax. The host even left snacks which was such a thoughtful gesture! It was a plus that the backyard was fenced so our Chihuahua could run around and enjoy being with us without being on a leash. The property location is also so convenient to many activities and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back. We would highly recommend it.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It had a nice fenced-in yard for our furry friends. The outside porch was large and we had a nice view of the pond. The location was near Murphy but not too far from Lake Chatuge, Hayesville or Hiawassee. The host was very communicative and made sure we were aware of area attractions and restaurants to visit. We would love to come back again.

Sweet secluded getaway

Open concept cabin all to itself but close to everywhere you could want to visit. Pictures online do not do it justice. The cabin is awesome. Both my spouse and I - and our 12lb fur baby - loved it! Clean and had all the items you could need to include shampoo and conditioner - and coffee and snacks!! Definitely will stay here again when we visit the casino. Can’t thank the owners enough for allowing our reservation. Thank you!

The seclusion is wonderful!

The property is very secluded but easy to access. The location is close to Murphy and JC Campbell Folk School. The owners take pride in cleanliness and provide many needed supplies. I guarantee you won’t regret booking this home for your stay.

They live a short distance from the vacation rental. Mitchell is a retired rural mail carrier and Wanda is a retired school principal. As natives of Cherokee County both stay active with volunteering in their community and participating in local organizations. Mitchell and Wanda have 2 grown children, 4 granddaughters, and 2 great grandsons.
