I'm so glad you enjoyed Forest Therapy :-) I hope you're able to come back again soon!
Everything was beautifully clean and well-equipped. Exactly what we needed for our stay. Perfect location for anyone taking a class, etc. at the Folk School. FYI: If you're scent-sensitive -- the laundry detergent used for the bed linens has a pretty strong scent.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and it was so convenient for attending the folk school there :-)
This place is amazing, even though its close to town you felt like you were miles away from everything and it felt amazing. Everything that we could think we needed was there up to and including some great welcome treats that made you want to curl up with a good book and relax

I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and invite you to visit again :)
Peaceful, restful cabin in the woods! We loved our stay for a weekend of relaxing and mountain biking at Jackrabbit. This cabin was sparkly clean, had everything we needed plus thoughtful extras, easy to find on a quiet dead end road surrounded by trees. It is 5 minutes from Murphy and 20 minutes to Hayesville. We were given a very reasonable last minute discounted rate. Our host responded promptly to all our questions and needs.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at Forest Therapy :) Hope you're able to come again for some rest and relaxation!!
We totally enjoyed the house and location. Very quiet. A storm had washed out the access drive, but it was repaired the next morning. Many spots to visit in the area. We like local restaurants. Another storm knocked out the electric for several hours, so we just enjoyed siting out on the porch listening to all the birds. Will consider returning next year.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay, even though mother nature did have her way of stepping in :-) look forward to welcoming you back again :)
I stayed at Forest Therapy while taking a class at the JC Campbell Folk School. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. You can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into making the cabin welcoming and comfortable. The setting was quiet and restful. The road to the cabin is "rough" but after the first pass, my little Subaru Crosstrek made it just fine - it's fun dodging the rough spots. The birdsong in the morning was delightful. And best of all for me, once you turn left on to Harshaw Road, the Folk School is only about a five minute drive away. Highly recommend this wonderful cabin.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and great news… The road is fixed! Whew!
Everything was very clean and neat. We enjoyed the location as it was relatively convenient to Murphy and the grocery stores, etc. The only thing missing from the kitchen was a cookie/baking sheet and onion powder but othewise was well stocked with basics. We cooked breakfast and a dinner but never used the grill. I did not feel well one of the days and found the house to be quite comfortable to lounge in, especially the big couch which provided a nice napping spot for me while my husband worked on some writing. Overall, we only needed to use the master bedroom and it was cozy, the comforter was really soft, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I often have trouble sleeping in hotels or other places and did not have that issue this time. Definitely recommend!

Although I hate to hear when someone's not feeling well when they're on vacation, I'm really glad that you were able to be comfortable at Forest Therapy in that comfy bed and couch! A little bit of quiet solace does the body good :-) I hope you're able to come back sometime soon :-)
This is really one of the best outfitted vacation rental I’ve seen. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the kitchen has really nice cooking and serving pieces; nothing fells cheap or thrift shop. The long gravel driveway is something we should have been more prepared for.. We drove a Honda CíVic and kept bottoming out due to the deep ruts and potholes that were unavoidable. Maybe because it was rainy season? Expect to go in low gear and really slowly unless you have an SUV or something with better clearance.than we did.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and that it exceeded your expectations. :-) hope you're able to come back again real soon!
Property as described. Inside was clean and complete. Games, movies, and wifi. Access to the garage was convenient when it rained, which was almost every day for our stay. It was disappointing that the stream was dry considering all the rain. The Host should probably mention the dirt road up to the cabin has a couple of large ruts and potholes. It wasn't a problem for a SUV with plenty of ground clearance.

Hey, it's Jennifer & Lenny here :) We are two entrepreneurs living life to it's fullest. I have a thriving Holistic Health Coaching business and Lenny has many ventures including SEO, website development, and real estate investment. I (Jennifer) had many years in the hospitality industry working for 4 star hotels so when Lenny and I started talking about vacation rentals...it really was a great fit with both of our backgrounds; real estate and hospitality. We started in 2020 and are absolutely loving it! We personally enjoy traveling globally and almost always stay in vacation rentals. We enjoy the diversity offered in each city/region we travel and enjoy getting to know our hosts along the way :) Since I'm typically the one interacting with our guests, I will share that I love hearing why you are here traveling to this area of North Carolina. It's also very exciting when our guests come back over and over again :)
We hope you enjoy your time at Forest Therapy and in the town of Murphy. It has quite a charm and is centrally located to many other mountain towns in just a 1-hour radius.

Why they chose this property
When we stumbled upon this log cabin home, we just loved that it was located at the end of an easy, dirt road drive in. Not on a steep driveway but amongst the trees. Nature has a way of nurturing and having the cabin surrounded by trees was just wonderful. We loved the layout inside and the screened-in porch. We just knew this would be a favorite spot for our guests to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. We felt the spot directly to the left of the cabin would be a great spot to add a firepit with Adirondack chairs. And the deck in back for enjoying a dinner on the grill. Having the 2-car garage was a perk too for our guests in the winter or a rainy day. So...we bought it!
What makes this property unique
Making this log cabin home into a relaxing retreat was such a fun project! We wanted it to be a place where our guests arrived and said, "ah...we are here...time to just relax!". We chose to create many seating areas inside and out, along with areas that you could enjoy dining inside and out. The other priority was making it a home that you could have a workcation. Many of us can work from anywhere, so why not a log cabin in the mountains right? We made sure that we could get high-speed internet. I don't know if you know this but in the mountains this is rare. We have great WIFI :) Having a solid door to the office was key as well so that other family members could enjoy the cabin inside and out. while the other may need to get some work done. Adding amenities like herbal tea, honey, cookies, aromatherapy with essential oils, personal care products and a fully stocked kitchen were easy to do since these are things we like when we travel too :) Making the beds super comfortable was high on the list, offering various types of pillow and one bed firmer than the other. Everyone has different types of beds and pillows they like so we tried to meet all needs here. We often get great comments on our beds and bedding :)The location is phenomenal! Just 10 minute drive from downtown Murphy and grocery stores. Also, super close to dozens of mountain towns and attractions.
