Nestled on a 26-acre Christmas tree farm, it offers beautiful views of Grandfather and Beech Mountains year-round. Families love exploring the farm’s open spaces, strolling by the pond, and enjoying outdoor games together. The cabin is equipped with an outdoor Blackstone griddle perfect for cookouts and a cozy wood-burning fireplace with firewood supplied. Why they chose this property
The 26 ac. farm was at one time owned by my ancestors and when it came up for sale, my grandmother was blessed to be able to purchase it. She purchased the farm in 1986 and planted her first Christmas trees in the Spring. In about 1992 her late husband and herself opened the farm for choose and cut and invited people to visit the farm on weekends during Nov. and Dec. to pick out their perfect Christmas tree. Many of those customers often stated they would love to visit during other seasons. This planted the seed for a rental cabin. In 2000, after the passing of her husband in 1999, she decided it was time to put their dream into action and had Songbird Cabin built so that she could begin sharing her farm with others throughout the year.
What makes this property unique
My grandmother (the property owner) chose to build Songbird cabin on a section of the farm that has the most beautiful long-range views. From the deck of the cabin, you can see the slopes of Ski Beech Mountain and you can see a view of Grandfather Mountain. Or you can just enjoy the view of the surrounding properties. One guest said that sitting on the deck and watching the clouds and the sky was like watching "God's paintbrush at work".
