This beautifully wood paneled cabin is nestled in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. It is located close to town and is the perfect retreat for couples or families seeking escape from hot summer days, or simply want to relax! Walking in you will be greeted by beautiful vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light! The living room is equipped with a beautiful fireplace, and a HD TV. In the kitchen you will find top of the line stainless steel appliances perfect for cooking! Both bedrooms have on suite bathrooms, tvs with Roku/Firestick for streaming and plenty of storage. With two queen beds 4 can sleep comfortably. Reasonably priced and tailored to vacationers' desires, Mountain Mystique is the perfect retreat cabin for you!

*Please note: Roxanna St is a gravel mountain road. There is a steep area near the top. During inclement weather a 4 wheel drive and/or chains may be needed. No refunds due to weather conditions. If you don't feel comfortable driving up, you can park at the bottom and walk up to the cabin (approximately 1/4 mile)

*NO pets; only officially trained service animals are allowed.

*There is one security camera located by the main entrance, allowing view of the driveway and entry door. There are no cameras located inside the house.

*There is a gun range off Castleford Rd

This cabin is exactly how it's described! Beautiful Cabin and not far from town. I loved how you felt like you are secluded away from the busy Boone town but not far from stores. We had snow come in early Saturday morning, which made this stay even more magical! The views from the porch are breath taking. Parking area was very nice and not hard to get turned in and parked. Drive up little steep but nothing major. Looking forward to another stay come spring!

Fay-- I grew up in Amherst County, Virginia and graduated from James Madison Univ many moons ago with my BSN (nursing). I am a recently retired school nurse. I love spending time with my family(4 children and one grandchild) and friends, hiking, and traveling. I love music and the arts!
Josh (our son)- I am a recent graduate from ASU in Boone, NC. I help manage the property, and enjoy hiking in the area.

The tongue and groove pine paneling and hardwood floors throughout the house afford a beautiful interior. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has a fully equipped kitchen. The location is close to downtown Boone and Appalachian State Univ. When you're in the mountains you are closer to heaven!

What makes this property unique

The cabin has hardwood floors throughout and a beautiful stone fireplace. The openness of the vaulted ceilings, modern kitchen, the cozy bedrooms brings charm to the property. The covered deck allows you to relax on the rocking chairs while viewing birds at the feeder and other local wildlife. Location is close to downtown Boone, yet just outside Boone, to enjoy the mountain setting.. There is a gun club on Castleford Rd.
