Overall great 4 day stay! Nice central location to most attractions, 15-20 min drive to most. Cozy cabin, well stocked with most everything you would need. No shampoo or conditioner in the starter toiletry pack, be sure to bring your own. No hamock as pictured on the screen porch which we were looking forward to. Beautiful area, great hiking.
Thank you for your kind words. We're delighted you found the space perfect for your group. We would love to have you visit with us again if you are back in the High Country!
Took the family and dog there for a short spring break and it’s just perfect for a family of 4 with plenty of space for more (Futon upstairs). The fireplace was a nice touch. And a great back porch. Checking in is a breeze. There’s a great pond close by. And it’s all within driving distance to great hiking and going into Boone/Blowing Rock or whatever you want. My wife loved it. Will do again. Good quiet place to reset.

Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear everything met your expectations. Thank you for staying with us.
The property was great. Porches on front and back with plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 dog. Back porch is screened in and faces east; front porch is not screened, faces west and requires you to bring a gate to keep dog safely enclosed. We brought our own Xpen, having checked about it first. Ceiling fans and AC units. Large tables, inside and out, accommodated us for meals and games. Very quiet, very curvy mountain road, lots of deer everywhere. Easy to find with previous note about the driveway adjacent to a barn. Played golf, attended music at the winery, hiked Otter Falls trail, enjoyed the park and casual dinner at Town Tavern in Banner Elk - all within an easy drive. Thanks for the chance to cool off here with lower temps (10-12 degrees) and humidity than Charlotte during a hot summer.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled you and your pup had such a relaxing getaway. It sounds like you made the most of everything—from the beautiful porches to those nearby activities at the winery and trails. We appreciate you bringing your own pen to keep your dog secure, and we're glad the mountain air and lower temperatures were just what you needed to escape the Charlotte heat. Your thoughtful details about the property will really help other guests plan their stays. We'd love to have you back anytime!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope your family made wonderful birthday memories in the mountains!
We had a Mother’s Day getaway weekend and had a wonderful time. We spent most of our time on the porches, enjoying the rain or the mountain air and sounds. Reading a book on the hammock was so relaxing. We were an easy drive to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Grandfather Vineyards, and downtown Blowing Rock.
