Chalet "Le Vieux Rocher": On the heights of the southern slope of the Ormonts valley, chalet built in the middle of the 19th century at the foot of an old rock, with a beautiful sunny terrace for breakfast and enjoying a view beautiful on the Alps.

The accommodation has 4 bedrooms + a TV corner also with a large bed. The chalet can accommodate 8 people ideally (Maxi 10 people)

True Swiss chalet built in 1845, located on the southern slope of the Ormonts valley. It benefits from a unique location, and maximum sunshine. The view is absolutely breathtaking on the Diablerets massif and its eternal snows ... True haven of peace and purity.

Travelers access

The Chalet is located 5 minutes by car from the village, 3 minutes from the village station of Vers l'Eglise, and the ski lifts.
Travelers will have access to magnificent alpine trails, to the authentic flora and fauna of the Vaud Alps.

In winter: many skiing possibilities between the Diablerets-Villars, Glacier 3000, Leysin or Gstaad. All located between 5 and 20 minutes by car.
Toboggan runs (one of which is 8 km long).

Summer skiing on the Diablerets glacier.

Paragliding flights.
Lavey les Bains spa resort 30 minutes by car. Swimming pool in Les Diablerets (7min by car)
Visits to the vineyards and cellars of the region, museum of carvings of the country above located at Chateau D'Oex, the castle of Aigle, etc ...

Wir haben mit 10 Personen, also 6 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern (1, 5,9,11) und 2 Hunden eine wunderschöne Woche über Weihnachten im Chalet verbracht.Die Lage und der Ausblick ist wirklich traumhaft für Leute, die es ruhig und etwas abgeschieden mögen.Der nahegelegene Ort Les Diablerets ist ebenfalls traumhaft schön, hat eine gute Infrastruktur und ein tolles Skigebiet.Das Chalet ist sehr alt und traditionell eingerichtet, weshalb es für uns sehr gemütlich, entspannend und urig war. Die Ausstattung ist sehr umfangreich und es gibt 5 verschiedene Schlafzimmer, sodass man sich auch gut aus dem Weg gehen kann.Besonders positiv ist, dass es im Prinzip eine "Suite" gibt, d.h. Schlafzimmer mit zusätzlichem Kinderbett, eigenem Bad und sehr viel Platz für z.B. noch ein Aufstellkinderbett, und eigenem Zu- bzw. Ausgang. Wirklich hervorragend!Wenn man mit gesundem Menschverstand jeden Morgen den Stromgenerator vorbereitet und nach Sonnenuntergang einschaltet, kann man auch mit vielen Leuten gleichzeitig ohne Stromausfälle wunderbar zurecht kommen. Vielen Dank an Kenzo für den sehr guten 24/7 Service!!!Den einzigen Abzug gibt es für Sauberkeit und Ordnung im Haus, da teilweise unnötiges Chaos in Schubladen, Schränken und Abstellkammern herrscht und mal eine Grundreinigung und Instandsetzung (offene Steckdose im Kinderzimmer) angebracht wäre.Ansonsten alles tip top!

Wundervolle Auszeit in fantastischer Umgebung

Wir waren über Silvester 2024 im traumhaften Charlet und es war wundervoll. Das liebevoll eingerichtete Charlet in seiner naturbelassenen Umgebung hat uns sehr gefallen und wir werden sicherlich Sommer wiederkommen.

Magical

This is an older chalet where you can feel the history of those before you. The setting is magical. If you want a luxurious chalet, there are other options. This is for those who appreciate the country, and like being off the beaten path. For us, it was perfect.

Zauberhafter Ausblick

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Wochenende hier. Wirklich alles war toll. Das einzige, in der Beschreibung steht unter Highlight Pool und das es Kanus oder Kajaks gibt. Für die Kanu und Kajak hatte ich sogar noch Kontakt mit dem Eigentümer, der mir sagte, das der Bergsee 15 Autominuten entfernt sei, mir gegenüber aber nicht erwähnt hat, das es keine gibt. Leider wusste man beim Check-in gar nichts von Kajaks und Kanus. Nichts desto trotz hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit. Merci beaucoup Isabelle

Difficile l’accès vers le chalets

Panne d’électricité...faire marche une génératrice plusieurs fois par jour pas de possibilité de laver les vêtements .... chiffrage au bois ...difficile ... très belles vues

Chère Madame, Je suis encore désolé pour la panne d’électricité indépendante de notre volonté, nous avons tout fait pour résoudre le problème rapidement. En ce qui concerne le chauffage central au fuel, il a bien entendu été impacté par la panne d’électricité puisque les pompes fonctionnent à l’électricité. Heureusement le chauffage au bois tel qu'il a toujours existé fonctionnait mais je comprends que cela ait pu vous déranger. Il ne faut pas oublier qu'il s'agit d'un chalet d'alpage, donc le confort n'est pas celui d'un chalet de village. Le moteur d'une machine à laver n'est pas compatible avec le système solaire et j'en suis navré. Il faut pour cela la branché sur la génératrice. Le chalet est un havre de paix en pleine nature et convient à tout ceux qui souhaitent rompre avec les désagrément de la vie urbaine, avec ses qualités et ses defauts...
