This is our second time staying at this property and it was just as good as the first time. The house is extremely clean and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. The neighbors are close but everyone is very friendly. We utilized the dock this year because we rented a boat and took advantage of the small beach. The kids had a great time swimming and having s’mores by the fire at night. The Placid Pines Pub is a nice little spot to grab a drink. We hope to come back again next year!
We enjoyed our weekend. It is what we were looking for in a fall get a way. Locals who live very close are super friendly. House is nicest one in this neighborhood. Campfires nightly were relaxing. WiFi and cable were not working during our weekend but it was kinda nice to disconnect for the weekend. Property owner is super responsive and helpful, even trying to correct our WiFi problem from afar but we were not that worried about it. Lake is gorgeous and a nice walk away. We hear the local pub has great food but we didn’t get to try it because we planned to cook in for the weekend not knowing what was available locally. Would be a nice place to visit during the summer too.
Ps: (Don’t let the WiFi problem deter you from booking-could have been fixed but we didn’t care)
From the moment I booked this property I knew I was going to love it. Evelyn was great at communicating and always answered questions in a timely manner.
The house was beautiful and extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals every day. You need to bring your own linens and towels but there are plenty of blankets available. All the rooms are decent size and the beds were comfortable. Everyone was content and had their own personal space to escape to. We loved sitting out on the porch during the day and down by the fire pit at night. My husband and son loved being able to head down to the dock each morning to go fishing.
This property is in a great location. We were able to visit Fort Ticonderoga for a day. We were also able to travel to Lake George for dinner one evening and went to Six Flags for a day. We also rented a pontoon boat for a decent price at the marina close by. There was a convenience store about 15 minutes away and a couple good restaurants close by.
I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.
Checkin process/working with the owner about any questions was made easy
Me and my family very much enjoyed our stay. This was are first time using this app/this process to book a family get away and I honestly couldn’t ask for it to smoother. The owners was very pleasant and helpful. The property met all expectations and my family walked away with an awesome experience. Thanks again for having us, see you again soon!

Fit our needs!
This property fit our needs perfectly for a last minute getaway. Plenty of sleeping arrangements in a nice, clean, well kept house. Granted, a little more seclusion would have been nice, but no problems arose from the tight neighborly quarters.

Charming house by the lake.... Just lacks an information packet.
House was nice and big. Lake is across the road through the trees. It's a 1/4 mile walk to boat dock. No information at house where dock was... Would of been nice if their was an informational folder. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies only thing it was missing was a hand mixer of sort. Found that as we were making homemade whip cream. 5 people later we had whip cream. Downstairs bunk beds we held together with finishing nails as the pegs. Left note for owner why we left the bunk beds as 2 twin beds. Other than these few things the house suited our big family was clean and well stocked. Beds are also comfortable. Even though the house is located within an older house camp "community". The neighbors that we're below us we're nice and quiet as well as the neighbors behind us. The surround radio speakers were a plus we enjoyed have light music playing inside and out . Owner was easy to get ahold of when we had questions.
We would stay here again.

Guy trip
Me and nine of my close friends got together to celebrate birthdays, birth of a child, wedding's etc. Could not have been more happy with this place. The pictures do not do it justice for there are far more amenities and spaces than those that are shown. Kitchen is very modern and updated along with the rest of the house. It is by far the nicest house on the hill/neighborhood. It comes with many games and extra's also. Was also surprised to see that supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper, were all provided with plenty extra. Neighbor's are a little close as stated in the previous reviews but it was not a problem because as also said they were very friendly and were not a bother. Beach property is a short walk across the street and is in a nice little cove that is perfect for fishing/swimming and grilling on shore. Could not have been more pleased and the owner did a great job keeping in contact. We are actually considering making this an annual event due to the good time we had. Definitely would recommend!!! Thanks again!

Family vacation
Sacandaga has been a family tradition for years. The difficulty is finding a one week flexible rental that can host our large family get together's. Well we found it. The owners were very responsive and extremely helpful in working with our dates. The price was great and although a short walk to the lake they had plenty of beach space in a private cove that is perfect for the young children to swim. no boat traffic, waves or wind.
First impression as you turn up the road to the house caught us off guard a bit. The house is very nice but sits among a camp/trailer site. But as in many cases first impressions can be misleading, and it was. The house was spacious - albeit needs to be finished in certain parts, clean, comfortable and great for entertaining. The fire pit on the ground floor and deck off the first floor were used a lot. Plenty of space to host our family reunion. The neighbors were extremely friendly and own a restaurant a short walk from the house that serves great food with warm hospitality.
We could not have been happier. The area was quiet, house was cozy with convenient trips to Northville, Great Adventure and some great hidden restaurants.
If you are looking for a great get-away in a nice updated/modern house, access to an amazing lake, friendly folks, good food and fun this is the place for you. We'll be back.

Sacandaga Trip
We enjoyed our stay and the house is very nice. There is plenty of room and it has all the amenities needed. The outside patio with the fireplace was great and the neighbors were very friendly. We enjoyed having the use of a dock down by the lake and would definitely look to book another stay.

About the host
Hosted by Evelyn Pitt
I am the mother of two sons who wanted the property for vacationing. We have lived in Albany, NY all our lives. I went to Empire State College with a degree in Business. My sons went to University of Rochester and Berklee College of Music.
We also have a ski house in Vermont and ski Mad River Glen where my son's two boys are in the ski racing program there.
We originally went to Sacandaga with my mother and her husband where my two sons spent many happy weekends with mom and her husband fishing, swimming, and boating.
Why they chose this property
It was my mom's property and when she passed away we decided to tear down the small camp that was there and build a new one.
What makes this property unique
Sleeps 9-11. Two full baths. Lake George and Saratoga are nearby. Private dock in a protected cove. Close to all the amenities of Lake George and the Adirondacks. August Racing at Saratoga. Great Escape Amusement Park.
