Lovely converted farmhouse in a beautiful region of France
We had been in the Lot some ten years ago and had always wanted to return. The area has lots of attractions yet is still quiet and relaxing, even in the high of summer season. The house itself has been beautifully converted with many lovely design choices—the bathtub with a view, artisan-crafted light fixtures and a massive kitchen. We had no problems when we had questions as the owner was quick to reply and was very helpful. It should be noted that the stairs up to the second level are quite steep and might be an issue for those with mobility problems. There are two bedrooms downstairs so one could easily stay in the house without ever going upstairs which is what my elderly father did. The surroundings are a small village which was very nice—there was even a village party the night we arrived. Overall very enjoyable, and the sunsets from the terrace are magnificent!
Beautiful house in a breath taking environment that has kept its full authenticity. We had a wonderful time in the house, that is perfectly situated as starting point of many travels and day trips to surrounding towns and hikes. Kids loved the swimming pool, we loved the sounds of nature to relax and read. The owner and a great local couple are always ready to help out. We absolutely recommend the house and the area !
