The spacious open layout of the main floor is the perfect place to entertain or just relax and watch TV, read a book or listen to music. The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances, 6 burner gas range, granite countertops and an eat-in counter. A lovely formal dining area makes a great place to share a special announcement with your loved ones or host a spectacular evening soirée, and the breakfast nook doubles as the perfect kids' table.

The four pristine bedrooms at Sage Hen accommodate up to ten fortunate guests. You will find a spacious master bedroom on the main floor with a private sitting area and access to the back patio as well. Those will mobility concerns will also appreciate having a second guest room on the first floor with an adjacent full bath too.

Upstairs, this exquisite vacation rental continues to deliver. The family room is equipped with a large flat screen television, plenty of seating for everyone, plus a second floor deck with more outdoor seating. Finally, the third and fourth guest rooms (both with ensuite bathrooms) offer a variety of sleeping options that will suite either the group traveling with kids or the couples ski retreat.

Incredible cabin for a weekend away in Tahoe!

This house is absolutely stunning!! So much space, so many little nooks, amazing kitchen we used for big family meals, great location right in Truckee so we got to spend a day at Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe, fully stocked with amenities, loved the outside area at night looking at the stars, and the primary bathroom has the dreamiest bath tub :) Would absolutely stay here again!

Winter family vacation near Truckee

Large spacious place for our extended family with a dog. Really enjoyed the space and area, including proximity to Truckee and ski resorts, how quiet the neighborhood is, and the walking paths nearby.

Beautiful home and a must stay! Loved everything about this house. Located in beautiful Gray's Crossing. Large home with everything you need and a ton of space. Comfy beds, big kitchen, warm/spacious great room, lots of seating for meals. Five stars!

Beautiful house for a large group (despite the issues we encountered)

Perfect house for our group! The house itself was great - had everything we needed, and the layout worked well for our group of 10 (4 adults / 6 kids). Gray's Crossing is a very nice community and it's close to downtown Truckee and all the dining and shops that we usually visit. Minus 1-star because of some of the issues encountered during our stay. Downsides during our 4-night stay: 1) no hot water for the sink in the second king bathroom on first floor 2) water trickled out in the sink, almost no flow 3) upstairs sink in the kids' bathroom was clogged 4) wad of hair in the shower upstairs 5) dead rat found under the bed in the second king bedroom. I did reach out to the property management company the morning after we checked in to discuss the issues regarding the clogged sink (we pulled it up - totally covered in gunk), the very low water pressure, almost no flow in the second king bathroom and no hot water. A plumber came out to fix the issues and was able to get them resolved. I also let them know about the wad of long hair in the shower my husband found when he was about to take a shower. The last night of our stay the kids were playing hide and seek and found a dead rat under the bed I was sleeping on. Took pictures, called the property management company and let them know about it, also texted the pictures. One of the guys pulled the sticky rat/mouse trap out from under the bed and threw it out in the garbage (because I was not about to touch it!). Finally, the house could use a new set of knives. I noticed there were only 3 knives in the wood block in the kitchen. The rest of the knives (6+) were missing. As we were cooking breakfast each morning and some days lunch, we could have used more.

Very nice home

We completely enjoyed our stay at this home. It had all the conveniences needed for our stay. We especially enjoyed the fact that we could bring our dogs with us on this vacation. The home is beautiful and clean. The only thing I saw was that the floors could be cleaner and there was virtually no laundry cleaners left in the home. I wanted to wash towels/sheets at the end of our stay but I could only do 2 loads with what was in the home. The house is conveniently located and was very comfortable with five adults and two dogs. I would stay here again!

Amazinbg property!

This property exceeded our expectations! Not only is the location amazing (only a few minutes drive to Hwy 80 and Downtown Truckee), the home is absolutely perfect with the best open floor plan and bedroom layout. It's located on a quiet street and surrounded by other beautiful homes and open spaces. Bedrooms are large, bathrooms are large and everything is luxurious. Centrally located with easy access to Northstar, Squaw Valley, the lake and so much more. We will definitely go back.

Disappointing

We were really looking forward to our stay at this home, especially given its great location right across from the Grey's Crossing Club House. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a letdown due to several serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. When we arrived, we were surprised to find dirty towels still in the laundry room and more left in the washing machine. While housekeeping was sent out quickly after we reported the issue, things only went downhill from there. We left to take our kids swimming, and upon returning around 7 p.m.—with two small children in wet bathing suits—we found ourselves locked out. The lockbox had jammed, and despite it being labeled as an "emergency" issue, it took over an hour to hear back from anyone. We were cold, uncomfortable, and stranded with no way to access our belongings. When we finally got a call, we were told this kind of lock issue "is not uncommon" and that we just needed to hit it with a hammer or screwdriver as the key gets jammed inside. While this eventually worked, we were shocked by the lack of preparation and professionalism. The next morning, we noticed another concerning issue—after just an hour of running around inside barefoot, our kids' feet were completely black. The floors were clearly not clean. On top of that, my in-laws, who were staying with us, found their duvet cover still damp when they went to bed, which was both uncomfortable and unsettling. For the price we paid, the lack of basic cleanliness and reliability was unacceptable. I genuinely cannot recommend this property to others, which is disappointing given its potential.It has a nice hot tub, multiple game tables, etc. Hopefully these issues will be addressed better moving forward.

Family retreat next to all things Tahoe

We very much enjoyed our time at the house, it had many different rooms to choose from to fit each families needs perfectly, even an office that acted as a nursery to our daughter. We enjoyed the large open living space, the hot tub, the large outdoor patio with grill and shot some hoops with the kids. PJ's golf course restaurant was within walking distance across the street and made the best drinks we've had in a long time and the staff was super friendly, we enjoyed it very much. The pillows in some rooms could use some refreshing and bedroom closets were not very functional without hangers. Overall, these are small details but would have made our long stay even better.

The house was fine. We had a great deal of communication issues with the operations group this year. When we had problems, like mice in the house, garage door inoperable, etc. there either was no confirmation that anything was being done or if service was arranged no communication back to us that service was scheduled and when they would be arriving. basically we were in the dark. This is highly unusual from years past. This was our fifth year and service in prior years was outstanding. This year was a big drop off.
