Large Beautiful Log Home in East Glacier Park
If you want to be in the trees and at the northern edge of the village of East Glacier Park, but if you also want to be walking distance from the restaurants, the shops, the Glacier Park Lodge, and the golf course, then this is the home for you.
Located adjacent to the ninth green of the Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, in the village of East Glacier, this 2400 square foot log home is the perfect retreat for small or large families and groups.
This log home faces the Rocky Mountains and features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a large great room/living room with a fireplace, 27-foot ceilings, and grand picture windows, allowing guests to enjoy the incredible views. There is also a large loft, an open, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a dining area, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Outside there is a large yard, and a deck encircles the front of the house. The deck, with a large picnic table, is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing and taking in the panoramic views. The large grass front lawn is perfect for volleyball and wiffle ball, croquet, horse shoes, and other summer activities.
The master bedroom has a queen bed. One upstairs bedroom has a king bed. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There are two single beds and a double bed in the loft. The house sleeps 10 in beds; however there is plenty of floor space in the loft for sleeping bags.
Located in the town of East Glacier, restaurants, shops, and the historic Glacier Park Lodge are within walking distance. All of the activities of Glacier National Park are right at your doorstep, including hiking on Glacier’s 800 miles of trails, sightseeing, fishing, rafting, kayaking, and horseback riding. The nearest entrance to Glacier National Park is only 6 miles away and the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road is only 32 miles away.
And don’t forget the golf. The Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, the oldest in Montana, is a nine hole gem. As it winds through the aspen and tall fescue, it features magnificent views of Glacier Park to the West, and the Montana grasslands to the East. And the ninth green ends at your front yard, inviting you to come and relax on the deck with a cool beverage, after a great round of golf.

We loved this property! The views from all the different windows were stunning. Just the way there were three comfortable chairs were set near the big window facing the park, invited you to sit down and take in the view. It was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee to enjoy the morning.
Perfect spot to base our East Park hikes and activities! Was comfortable and well stocked. We traveled with our adult children but this would also be a great place for families with younger children and has lots of space. Would absolutely choose again.
I’ve never rented a home that was more equipped with everything you need for the perfect stay. The home itself is beautiful and it is in a great location. We enjoyed our stay with two other couples.
Beautiful views. Authentic Montana log cabin. Excellent location to east glacier. Well equipped kitchen. Super and attentive staff. Outside deck was great. Super roomy.
We have 10 people in our group, and we had an amazing time here. I can’t say enough about how well furnished this was. I have never stayed somewhere that had laundry soap, baggies, shampoo, spices, coffee, bear spray, bug spray and the list goes on and on. Every kitchen appliance, great pots and pans, plenty of dishes!! We had such a great time sitting out by the fire and the kids playing in the yard!! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay!!
This property is beautiful and in a close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Glacier. It was great everyone having their own bed after staying in the lodges at Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Would highly recommend
Had a great experience staying in this house. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 adults. Saw some beautiful stars from the front yard. The owner's nephew at the mountain pine inn was also very knowledgeable and recommended some great hikes and other activities in the area.
Wanted to try something different from the Glacier Park Lodge
The Sherbourne Cabin was superb. So much more comfortable and pleasant than the lodge. We were able to grill out one night, and we really enjoyed the view from the deck and from the large full windows facing the mountains. We were extremely pleased. Highly recommended!
Very clean, well-stocked, conveniently located in East Glacier Park- this home was the perfect place to stay for our family and our friends' family. We made tons of memories that will last a lifetime! The views here are beautiful and the sunsets spectacular over the mountains. The Sherburnes were wonderful to rent from. Would love to stay again one day.
This is the absolute perfect place to stay if you have a large group of family or friends all wanting to explore Glacier together. There are three bedrooms as well as a loft with three beds which is great for kids. We had a reunion with extended family and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The yard is perfect for games like corn hole or kan jam. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby, but it is in walking distance to several food trucks. They also have a very well-stocked kitchen making it easy to prepare a meal for a large family. However, you might need to do your grocery shopping a bit outside of East Glacier if you want more than the basics.
The home was beautiful and worked very well for our group, including our grandchildren. It was very well appointed and supplied and we had everything we needed, including the outdoor grill for quick and easy hamburgers our first night.
The location works very well for the East side access of Glacier National Park and it was an excellent base for our explorations. It was nice to return each evening with a comfortable home and easy resources.
I highly recommend this home and I would choose it again!
There were 8 adults in this trip - all in E. Glacier to hike. The cabin was so cozy we almost didnt want to leave each day. Very pretty area. Walking distance from a little ice cream shop and E.Glacier lodge. We didnt cook much at the cabin, but if you want to - there is everything you would need to make meals. Beds were comfortable, cabin was extremely clean and there was plenty of room to spread out in the cabin.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jon’s home. It was a great home base for all our activities on the east side of Glacier. Plenty of space for our teen girls to spread out! It is within walking distance to a cute place for coffee and breakfast in the morning and a wood-fired pizza food truck for dinner. It was about an hour to Grinnell Glacier hike, 75 minutes to Logan pass, 20 minutes to Two Medicine. Jon was super communicative. 5 stars!!
The house was perfect for 8 of us (5 adults and 3 children 18-14. We loved the view and enjoyed 7 days in Glacier. One caveat; get your car passes at least 7 months in advance or you have to go online a day before at 8am.
We had everything we needed in the house and a wonderful view of the mountains. Thank you Jon. You were a great host.
Ryan and Cole were awsome! Ryan is the manager of the Mountain Pine Motel and he also is there to to assist with any question we had. We had a list of hikes we wanted
to do and Ryan helped us with directions and suggestions. Cole takes care of the property and was always reachable if we had any needs with checkin or while we were there.
The house and location were spectacularl. Ryan was such a great help with providing us with guidance about hikes, and he loved hear about our advetures after.

Our group had 6 adults, a 13 yr old and 9 ye old. There was plenty of seating and beds for everyone. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen and supplies were well stocked. The pictures online were accurate…may have actually been better in person when you see the spaces. We had visited Two Medicine, St Mary’s entrance for GTTSR, Many Glacier and visited Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada. Saw deer in the yard a couple of evenings. Thanks for sharing your cabin.
We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this home while visiting the East side of Glacier. It was hard to find a place with enough space for our group of 7 adults & this was perfect! The home is adorable with the log cabin feel/ decor & it was very clean. All toiletries/ paper products/ laundry items supplied & such a nicely stocked kitchen - this was awesome as we ate in every night! Beds were all comfy as well. They even had a bunch of bear spray to borrow which was great! Communication with Jon was prompt & check in with Ryan was quick & easy. He was so pleasant & gave us tips on good hikes! We were able to enjoy two medicine, St Mary & Many glacier areas while here. Don't hesitate to book - we loved it & would definitely return if ever back in the area!
We had an amazing stay at this East Glacier cabin. It is within walking distance of East Glacier Lodge-where you can pick up a Red Bus Tour. It is about 20 minutes from Glacier Park Boat company for Two Medicine. There are not many restaurant choices, but we cooked at the cabin where there are plenty of pots and pans. There are stairs to most of the bedrooms-not a problem for us but could be for others. Check in was a breeze-we actually were able to drop off our luggage before a park tour. Do not hesitate to book at Jon's cabin! We would be honored to stay here again sometime! BTW if you don't know about Guide Along-check it out for a wonderful GPS guided (self guided) tour of the park!
