Very nice property Kitchen and bathrooms stocked. Gardens were in full bloom around the property Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
Fantastic experience. It simply exceeded our expectations. Rooms were great and the host provided exceptional tips and advice for area amenities and services. The location to either entrance of Glacier National Park was perfect. We were easily able to access Apgar/Lake McDonald on the west, and was only minutes away from Two Medicine. Highly recommend the location and host (and George the cat) for a memorable stay near Glacier
My friends and I enjoyed staying in the Sinopah unit at Lone Elk Lodge during our visit to Glacier NP in September. We could not have asked for a more welcoming, relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend!
Lone Elk Lodge is in a great location to see all the main sections of Glacier NP. The lodge was well stocked with many necessities and Leslie was quickly responsive when we needed anything or tips. Leslie is an exceptional host! Fresh blueberry scones were a nice surprise at check in. We would definitely return again to stay at Sinapah! Thank you Leslie and Carl!
We loved our stay at the Lone Elk Lodge. Check in was easy. The property was just as it was described in its listing. Leslie was so welcoming. The location was perfect for our visit to the entrances on the east side of Glacier. We hope to return one day!
We stayed in this lovely home 7/14 -7/18. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Three spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Home is very close to entrance to Glacier National Park. Owners very sweet and quick to respond to questions. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
Wonderful home, great location for accessing eastern Glacier NP! Friendly helpful host! Loved all the spices in the kitchen! Plenty of space indoor and out to enjoy! We certainly hope to return!
Cabin was nice and a good size for four adults. Had all essentials we needed. We were happy with cabin for our 3 day hiking trip to Glacier National Park.
The lodge was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. Property was gorgeous with amazing views! I did not want to leave! Would highly recommend this property and definitely want to go back someday!

Very comfortable, spacious, and homey property. Felt very welcome. It was close to gorgeous Glacier Park. We were able to make our meals and relax at the location too. Each bedroom with its own bathroom was a plus. Definitely recommend.
Lone Elk Lodge is the perfect home base for exploring Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and the GTTSR. The Sinopah unit is exceptional! Leslie and Carl were amazing hosts and very responsive. We would 100% stay there again. So many special touches throughout the unit. Plenty of room to spread out, comfy beds and living room furniture in addition to a very well equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed super friendly “Curious George”, the resident outdoor ginger cat! And also, Leslie’s huckleberry scones!
Rental #5 on our national parks adventure and couldn’t image a better place to wrap it up than Lone Elk. Unit was spacious, amazing timber and finish details and the owners, who are onsite, are two of the nicest people you could meet.
This house, and the owners, are truly amazing. High quality furnishings, beautiful, perfect layout, and super nice owners!! Will never look anywhere else when returning to Montana!
Lone Elk Lodge was accommodating to our family while visiting Glacier. It was a convenient location for our family to visit the park during the day and return to have dinner together at night. Carl and Leslie were great hosts. We really enjoyed their back yard where we were able to have a fire in the evening. We want to visit again and would definitely reserve their place again.

About the host
Hosted by Carl and Leslie Haggar
Carl and Leslie Haggar have lived in East Glacier for over forty years. They love hiking in Glacier Park in the summer and skiing the nearby mountain trails in the winter. Carl is also an avid fisherman and hunter, and loves to share his stories about recreating in this beautiful country. They built a successful woodworking business, manufacturing wooden kitchen products, such as bread knives, cutting boards, and recipe boxes. They have since sold the business, but Carl continues to put his woodworking skills to work by creating cabinets and furniture for their vacation rental. They love to share their favorite haunts with their visitors, and are very knowledgeable about trails, streams, and lakes in the Glacier Park area.
What makes this property unique
The property is located in a beautiful rural setting, with a lovely little trail that goes to an active beaver pond, home to a variety of ducks and geese. There is world-class fishing nearby on the Reservation lakes, as well as in Glacier Park. In the winter, there are numerous trails for both cross country skiing as well as snowmobiling. The rental is very cozy and well stocked and provides a perfect ending to an adventure-filled day.
