One block from California’s scenic Highway 1, Amtrak train station, Pismo State Beach, golf, & award-winning restaurants. Walk to the Butterfly Grove, wine tasting, golf, dune buggy & car rentals for California’s only drive-on beach or take the San Luis Obispo County wine trail. Hosting guests from all over the world, the single level ground floor studio features a queen bed and daybed that sleeps two as twins or a double bed. We welcome disabled guests. We do not have a full kitchen but do have appliances, plates, silverware and glassware, and a small fridge, 2-burner hotplate, electric kettle, and microwave.

The property was within walking distance to several places to eat and get coffee on the morning. It is a very short drive to the beach.

Great location, comfortable bed and it was nice to be able to have the dogs with us. The bathroom could use some updating and it would be nice if there were other windows to get fresh air. But for the price, it was a good place.

Grover Beach

This location is my favorite spot to do a quick beach getaway when visiting the central coast. A beautiful walking distance away from the sand and water as well as restaurants and a coffee shop. The perfect spot for a couple with their dog looking to visit the coast!

A good night’s sleep

Comfortable studio perfect for our first night on a long road trip from Berkeley, CA to Boca Raton, FL. The Spoon Trade a block away was amazing for dinner.

Red Bee Coffee is just 2 doors down.

Our location is a lot like us... not flashy but very comfortable. Restaurants, bakery, beach, ChargePoint EV charger and E-bike rental within walking distance. Our host was very kind and attentive.

Perfect for a Getaway

We came down to escape the heat and it was adorable and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed and rested peacefully. Space was clean and tidy. Loved the bathroom floor after sand at the beach. We walked to the beach and enjoyed dinner and live music at Fins, then finished watching the sunset on the beach. Definitely recommend.

Pros:neat and clean; nice location next to a coffee shop and close proximity of the dunes. Cons; people walking loud up and down the stairs until 2am. Sounds crowded upstairs too.

The apt was funky but functional. The furniture looked like it came from a yard sale, but the bed was so uncomfortable that we left a day early. Our backs couldn't take one more day! The chairs and sofa were so low to the ground we had to add pillows to sit on. Great off street parking and very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen had all the amenities needed (wish the freezer compartment in the refer was a bit bigger though). Big closet with lots of hangerrs and they had beach chairs, boogie and sand boards to use! Overall, I would've been okay with the furniture short comings except the bed! I would stay here every year when we visit family at Thanksgiving if they had a decent bed.

I booked the lower level room for the accessibility. One day prior to my arrival I was told the room was double booked and I could stay on the third floor if I wanted. Since it was the day before my trip, I didn't have much of an option. That was especially disappointing. So, no review of the first floor. I didn't get to see it. The third floor was a great space though. It is a studio apartment with a slice of ocean view. You just have to walk up two flights of stairs to get there. The ceiling fan and desk lamp needed to be replaced and the skylight window was not easy to work. The yard needed to be cleaned up and the "garden" for sitting was just a couple of chairs in a dry and weedy spot. There is a great coffee shop, Red Bee, at the end of the street and the beach is easy walking distance. So, location is a 5 star!

It was a beautiful place, very well located and kept, good parking on property. Only two things, it took us like 5 minutes to try and get in as the lock didn’t open to get the key to enter the apartment, it was stock or something. Second, the bathroom! Very nice and lovely size but there wasn’t any rim or border at the shower so everything would get wet and messy, we hated that.Apart of that, everything was good, nice and comfortable bed and pillows, the place was clean and tidy.

Don’t stay here

It’s a converted real estate office. There is car wash directly across the street with a very loud vacuum cleaner. It’s always Open. All furniture is ultra uncomfortable. There are two additional units on the upper level. Had a 11;00 PM arrival with a noise level of 10+. The beach is not steps away. It’s 1/4 mile away. The train stop is roughly 30 yards from your front door. The Butterfly Cove is .75 miles away on a very busy Hwy 1. Don’t let the daily room rate fool you. It’s NOT worth it.

Good price and 1 block from the beach

First off, this building used to be a store front which took a minute to wrap my head around but it’s been nicely converted to accommodate up to 4 people. The amenities are minimal and so is the cost to stay there. The owner is nice and responsive. It suited our needs perfectly.

Fantastic

We very much enjoyed our stay, and a little cottage is perfect, it has everything that you would need for a family day. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much, it’s close to everything and we even were close enough to drive up to Santa Cruz. The tenants were amazing and friendly and I definitely would recommend a stay here

Great Beach Getaway

We completely enjoyed the location of this studio, especially the proximity to the beach and the adorable coffee shop nearby. Grover Beach is wonderful. It is laid back and the beach is perfect for a quiet morning run. You can’t beat the price for the area. We are grateful to have been able to stay here!

Excellent VRBO in Grocer

My wife and I come to the Pismo Beach area every few months being that we got married there. This was our first time staying in Grover Beach and it will continue to be our location destination! This was the best, cleanest, perfectly located, cozy-feeling VRBO that is dog friendly as well! We will be booking all of our future stays, dependent on availability, as the location. Absolutely fantastic trip due in part to this perfect VRBO!
