The chalet was very nice. Unfortunately the Heating system was not working to provide heat to the distant parts of the house not reachable by fire places. Hostess was not concerned when reported.

I'm so sorry Anita but your review is very important as they do impact future bookings. Also it's confusing as I did send someone up to check it out and followed up with you several times during your stay to make sure the house was warm. You indicated at the time that there was no problem.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin with our family. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the sunset view each night from the upper deck and enjoyed making s’mores at the outdoor fire pit. Wolf Laurel pool, tennis and pickleball courts were fun for our grandchildren as well as the fishing pond. We highly recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.
We enjoyed our stay in this property located almost on the top of the mountain. We could admire the panoramic view from a suite, a bedroom, the living room and the balconies on the first and second floor. We liked spending our evenings near the fireplace with a cocoa and playing games that were at our disposal. This place is very comfy and perfect for families who want to retreat from a hectic city life.

Thank you Celina! I'm so happy you all enjoyed your mountain holiday retreat. Come back soon!
We came for a family vacation and had a wonderfuk time! The beds are all comfy! There was a place for everyone to gather or scatter comfortably. The sunsets are out of this world! Be prepared to use Natures AC, if you open all the windows and majn doors ut very pleasant. In July it was mid 60s every morning! The community has alot to do. Bring fishing poles to fish if you want. The house is almost 30 mins from the closest town and up at the top of the mountain. Get necessities before arriving!

Thank you Robert! I'm so happy you had a great stay! I'm in Chapel Hill so was very jealous of your 60 degree mornings in July!! Hope you all come back soon!
Following a hectic past several months characterized by too much work and a major renovation of our home in Princeton, NJ, my spouse and I met old friends from Winter Park, FL and Tami's wonderful mountain chalet was our oasis for a long weekend. Between the views which were drop dead gorgeous as advertised, we caught up, cooked, hiked, and generally decompressed in this idyllic setting. Trips to Asheville and Weaverville provided added dimensions of fun and interest. The chalet was exceptionally well equipped, comfortable, and boasted plenty of space for us to relax in. The house's incredibly diverse library of books provided something for virtually anyone's interests, from civil war history, to travel, to secret societies, and novels. During the course of our visit, I needed to clarify some matters with our Host and Tami was exceptionally responsive and helpful. A great long weekend by any measure!

Thank you Dan! You all were awesome guests and I loved sharing the mountain with you! I hope you're able to plan a return visit soon! Cheers, Tami
Our family of 6 stayed here for a week from 10/7-10/14. Our GPS took us straight to the property. Glad we didn't come in at night time though, as the twists and turns up the mountain are tricky the first time. The best part of this property is definitely the views! The kitchen is well stocked with dishware/cookware. Bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper and plenty of towels. Six adults with 2 bathrooms did require some planning, but overall was not a big problem. First time up the steep driveway was a little scary- we have all-wheel drive vehicles and weather was mild, so access was not a big issue. Plenty of games and puzzles provided by the host too for game night! Also, there is a huge dining table, perfect for everyone to gather for meals and such. Access to Asheville and surrounding areas was easy...about a 40 minute drive to get to most of the activities we wanted to do. The trees were starting to change to fall colors, and we spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying the views. Our host, Tami is great and quickly responded to any questions we had. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!
We had such a great stay at Tami’s home. It was so well equipped that we truly felt like we were at home. We loved every minute of our stay!
We had fires outside and roasted marshmallows, we went sledding, movie nights, and my husband even skied from the house to Wolf Laurel Resort, and skied back to the house.
Thanks for a great stay!
